Although these summoned knights are not as formidable as the Elf Knights like Bagster and Lancelot, they have been appointed as Queen’s Knights by Morgan, with power and influence only secondary to the Elf Knights and the six great clans’ clan leaders. Even if they cannot match the overall strength and influence of the Elf Knights and the six great clans, they are still a formidable force.
These forces are also an important part of the Queen’s army. Morgan, by gathering all these forces, is clearly planning to rely solely on her Queen’s army to stand against the Round Table Army and the Northern Army alliance, without depending on the great clans.
For a ti, the entire Britain beca turbulent, with all major forces moving, so forming standoffs, so moving secretly, so scheming sothing, creating an atmosphere of impending war brewing over Britain.
As for the upcoming war, so are anxious, so are expectant, so worry unnecessarily, and so, fearing the world is not chaotic enough, eagerly add fuel to the fire, making the atmosphere of war and turmoil more intense.
Everyone knows that this war will decide who will rule future Britain and what new form it will take.
As for who will lose and who will win...
Perhaps, for most fairies just eager for turmoil to quickly happen and war to break out, it no longer matters.
At such a ti, even the increasingly serious "calamity" has been selectively ignored by the fairies.
The numbers of Mors continue to grow, and the once-in-a-millennium "great calamity" is slowly approaching.
But before that, this war that will sweep across the entire Britain will surely determine a victor.
The victor will bear everything.
The defeated will lose everything.
There is not much ti left. Even though Morgan has not proactively launched the war, instead preparing for a defensive battle, the alliance army is no longer willing to delay.
"Send a battle challenge to Calot!"
Under the unquestionable proposal of Noconalay, Altoria, Fujimaru Ritsuka, Matthew, Da Vinci, Habettelot, Pasival, Gareth, and even the returned Alberon nodded with heavy hearts.
Thus, on the fifth day of the alliance army’s formation, with less than two days left until the collapse phenonon investigated by Chaldea, the alliance army officially declared war on Calot in the na of Altoria and Noconalay.
"Tomorrow, our army will officially attack Calot, overthrow Queen Morgan, and end over two thousand years of tyranny in Britain!"
The battle challenge was sent into Calot, and into the royal city, into Morgan’s hands.
Receiving the battle challenge, Morgan only replied with one sentence.
"Co to battle."
The future of Britain will be determined by...
This battle will reveal the answer.
...
That night, Calot appeared as luxurious, beautiful, cold, and steely as ever, but the air lingering in every corner was more oppressive and heavy than ever.
The residents, knowing that war would break out tomorrow, stayed at ho with mixed feelings, with almost no one going out.
The Queen’s army had been deployed to Calot’s main gate and flanks in a formation emitting a killing intent.
As for the back of Calot... there lies the Great Cavern.
With the Great Cavern standing there, any army cannot launch an attack on Calot from that direction, unless they, like the Sky Division of the Karedohart Empire, could utilize flying-type magical creatures for an aerial assault.
Unfortunately, in Britain, there are too few flying magical creatures, and too few individuals with flying abilities, making Lancelot unique, as she almost dominates the sky over all of Britain.
In such a situation, the Queen’s army naturally does not need to set up defenses at the back of Calot; guarding the main gate and the flanks’ gates is enough.
At dawn, the alliance army would officially comnce their attack, and the Queen’s army dared not relax their vigilance now.
Thus, they would guard throughout the night.
Staying up all night and fighting a major battle at dawn seed like asking too much.
Fortunately, the participants in this war were primarily fairies; only the Round Table Army included humans. They were ordered to rest well tonight, as fairies’ physiology allowed them to stay up all night without affecting the next day’s performance.
So, this night was bound to pass amid the vigilance and tension of fairies on both sides.
At this mont, Morgan uncommonly did not sit on her throne, but instead, stood at the edge of the Jade Throne Hall, gazing towards the direction of the Great Cavern.
"It seems, even at this mont, what you are most anxious about is not tomorrow’s battle, but whether the thing in the Great Cavern will co out."
A voice suddenly sounded behind Morgan, reaching her ears.
Hearing this voice, Morgan showed no signs of wavering.
"Do you really think you can defeat ?"
Morgan’s voice held no disdain, yet carried a sense of underestimation.
Clearly, she truly sensed no threat from the alliance army.
"Impressive, your confidence."
With these words, Reiger slowly ca to Morgan’s side, standing shoulder to shoulder, gazing towards the Great Cavern.
"If I hadn’t decided not to take action, tomorrow I’d certainly show you whether I can defeat you."
Reiger’s tone was so casual it seed less like an impending battle and more like an impending al.
Not that Morgan’s tone was casual, but she too sounded far from preparing for a major battle.
"It’s not that you decided not to act, but that you cannot act," Morgan said indifferently, "Of course, if you could act, I’d need to consider whether to aim the ’spear’ directed at the Great Cavern towards the battlefield."
With twelve Holy Spears in hand, Morgan feared not the alliance army at all.
Bluntly speaking, even without the Queen’s army or any soldier’s assistance, Morgan was confident she could single-handedly defeat the entire alliance army.
No need to activate them all; just activating one is enough.
With the power of a Holy Spear alone, Morgan could sweep across the battlefield, annihilating the alliance army.
Even if Reiger acted, Morgan didn’t believe he could withstand the concentrated fire of the twelve Holy Spears.
Even a casual strike with the power of a Holy Spear could destroy a city. If twelve Holy Spears were to fire simultaneously, even a god would have to lant.
To this, Reiger simply replied.
"Then let’s test it," Reiger said blandly, "Aim your Holy Spear at , and do not redirect the barrel elsewhere until I am not obliterated by it."
"Do you dare accept this challenge?"
Upon hearing this, Morgan’s eyes flashed slightly as she looked at Reiger.
"You intend to use yourself as bait to block the greatest threat for the alliance army?"
Morgan’s gaze was cold and sharp, as if it could see through Reiger’s heart.
"Can’t help it, even with Galahad’s protection, Matthew’s shield likely can’t withstand the Holy Spear’s barrage, right?" Reiger did not deny this, saying, "If you launch a concentrated barrage of the Holy Spears, the alliance army simply cannot withstand it."
This was a point that no one else in the alliance army thought of, only Reiger did.
"Is this your purpose for coming here tonight?"
Morgan seed to scoff at sothing as she spoke.
"No."
However, Reiger directly denied it with one sentence, making Morgan montarily pause.
"These are secondary."
Reiger turned to face Morgan.
"...Then what is your primary purpose?"
After a mont of silence, Morgan finally spoke.
Perhaps even she did not realize that a thin strand of anticipation had sprouted in her heart.
