"I’m sorry, but I refuse."
When those icy words left Reiger’s mouth and reached Bagster’s ears, Bagster’s expression involuntarily changed.
"...Why?"
Bagster’s brow furrowed tightly, and his gaze toward Reiger grew sharper.
The oppressive gaze pierced Reiger, which would make ordinary people find it difficult even to breathe.
But when this gaze fell on Reiger, not only did it fail to make him change color whatsoever, it even caused a chill to flash in his eyes, making Bagster’s expression change again.
"I really don’t understand, what on earth is the structure of your fairies’ brains?"
As if he genuinely could not comprehend it, the words Reiger uttered were filled with sarcasm.
"Guard Britain?"
"Guard fairies?"
"Whether it’s you, Morgan, or whoever, what nerve got crossed in your minds to co up with this idea?"
At this mont, Reiger’s words were not just sharp; they were as piercing as blades.
"If you’re not aware, then let tell you, Bagster."
Reiger spoke coldly.
"Do you know what the Pan-Human History is like?"
"Do you know what the humans living there are like?"
"Having never been to the Pan-Human History and always living in this British Lostbelt, you probably can’t imagine what kind of world that is, right?"
"It’s a world where everyone must follow a certain order. While not everyone, most people aspire to a generally peaceful and happy life."
Reiger walked step by step towards Bagster.
"And what are fairies?"
"Fairies are just a bunch of junk!"
"In their eyes, peace ans entertainnt till death!"
"In their eyes, happiness ans using things other than themselves to please themselves!"
"Don’t you know how the fairies of Britain view humans?"
"In their eyes, humans are tools to create entertainnt value for themselves, they are slaves, playthings, or even ants to vent upon, bully, and trample!"
Reiger stood before Bagster, who was stupefied and said word by word.
"Now, you tell , if such fairies go to the Pan-Human History, what will happen to the humans there?"
"Then tell why you want to protect such fairies, even at the cost of being called a traitor?"
"Is your brain kicked by a donkey? Or was it eaten by a dog? You want to protect such a bunch?"
"If you’re really that free, just say so, and I’ll find sothing for you to do imdiately!"
These almost curse-like words, every single word, made Bagster’s face change again and again.
Anger, and even ferocity, flashed in her eyes. Her hand subconsciously rested on the magic sword at her waist, as if in the next second, she would draw it out and behead the man in front of her.
But Reiger was completely unfazed, or rather, hadn’t a reason to fear, coldly looking at Bagster, the aura he radiated becoming incomparably dangerous.
To be honest, Reiger had wanted to say these words for a long ti.
He truly did not understand what value this Britain and the fairies in it had, that Morgan and Bagster would guard them so fiercely.
Though he clearly understood, through the original work, the persistence and beliefs of these two, knew why they wanted to do this, knowing was one thing, whether one could understand it was another.
At least for Reiger himself, he truly could not understand.
Because the more he felt the sinful history of Britain, the more he understood the fairies’ actions. The more Reiger felt, this was a group that should not continue to exist in this world.
Perhaps, in the fairies’ values, views on life and the world, these were nothing but normal things.
Just like in Kibutsuji Muzan’s eyes, it was no different for demons to eat humans as humans eating at, both are taking in nutrition through eating. Since humans can eat at, demons can eat humans; it is a natural thing.
In the eyes of fairies, humans’ value is equivalent to that of cattle and horses to humans, both creating labor and wealth for themselves.
This seems normal, they are just doing what humans also do.
However, normal humans would absolutely not feel pleasure in killing cattle and sheep, while fairies do.
Humans don’t get addicted to eating at, yet demons do.
When they derive pleasure from such acts, gain joys beyond re survival, they no longer possess reason.
And reason is a prerequisite for rightful existence.
Therefore, in Reiger’s eyes, no matter what, fairies would only be a bunch of junk that shouldn’t exist, worse than demons.
Such a group, worse than demons, still has people wanting to protect them through self-sacrifice?
Reiger’s incomprehension erupted at this mont.
"If you don’t know what fairies are like, I suggest you go take a look around."
"Go see the so-called human ranches and also visit your territory in Manchester."
"After all, tomorrow is the day when the humans’ Round Table Army will revolt against the queen in war; there are certainly many places erupting with disdain, contempt, and dissatisfaction towards humans, venting it on those around them, right?"
