Of course...
"The recipe for the immortality potion, we do have access to such a rare-level magic potion’s formulation in our temple."
"It’s one of the precious ancient texts passed down from the now-vanished civilization of ancient magic. Even here in the Hidden Land, not everyone is qualified to read it, and very few are capable of preparing the potion."
"If Your Highness is interested, we can provide the recipe for you, okay?"
The High Priest, like a true witch, began to tempt the young princess.
"No, there’s no need..."
Liz quickly shook her head, seemingly wanting to keep her distance from the High Priest.
It was imaginable that the High Priest’s witch-like deanor made the innocent young princess a bit overwheld, right?
Seeing that the other party wanted to ruin his young wife, Reiger quickly interrupted.
"These things are not important."
As soon as he spoke, the High Priest imdiately countered.
"Then what is considered important?"
Reiger was almost choked.
This woman... Doesn’t play by the rules?!
"Aren’t you a magician with prophetic magic?" Reiger wasn’t intimidated, directly retorted, "Didn’t you foresee our purpose for coming here?"
Upon hearing this, the High Priest rolled her eyes gracefully.
"Do you think foresight is that convenient?" The High Priest shrugged her slender shoulders, showing a helpless expression, "This kind of advanced magic that can peer into the future, you must know it’s not a power that can be used anywhere, anyti, right?"
"If it’s so irrelevant and not-too-distant future, then it’s relatively easy to foresee."
"But the further in the future, the harder it is to foresee, especially if it impacts history and the world itself significantly."
Speaking of this, the High Priest gave an example.
"Take Your Highness for example, she’s already 15 years old this year and has survived outside for more than a decade, yet it wasn’t until recently that I suddenly sensed sothing and perford a foresight, only then did I detect Your Highness’s existence."
"In order to accurately foresee Your Highness’s location, condition, and so future developnts, I was almost drained of all my magic power, and consud so life force as well. Eventually, with the help of other priests and the power of so precious treasures, I successfully made the foresight."
"But even then, I could only ascertain where Your Highness was and ’see’ the future where Evie and Leo, those two little ones, brought you back here."
"As for more, I simply couldn’t see."
The High Priest’s explanation reminded Reiger of Beluti’s existence.
Beluti, though she hadn’t learned prophetic magic like the High Priest, could foresee the arrival of certain disasters.
This kind of foresight is also uncontrollable, and only allows one to see very limited future fragnts.
"Indeed, truly realizing foresight is not only troubleso, but imnsely intriguing."
Reiger suddenly expressed his feelings.
"Right?" The High Priest sighed empathetically, complaining, "Such an inconvenient magic, I don’t know what was wrong with back then, that I actually went to learn it, studied it for more than ten years."
"More than ten years, I was in my pri, a girl’s most precious decade of youth was spent learning such inconvenient magic, truly uneconomical."
"Alas, I regret it so much, if only I wasn’t attracted by ’foreknowledge’ back then."
Seeing the High Priest beginning to ramble, both Reiger and Liz were taken aback.
Luckily, before long, the High Priest’s deanor changed.
"That being said, I can actually guess what Your Highness wants to ask ." Suddenly, the High Priest looked intently at Liz, "You want to know your own background, who your parents are, and where are they now, right?"
Upon hearing this, Liz’s eyes imdiately lit up.
"You, do you know where my parents are?"
Instantly, Liz anxiously inquired.
The forr King of Ginas Kingdom was not her biological father, and she was not truly a princess of Ginas Kingdom.
Given this, why was she sent to the royal palace and treated as Hemulinp’s own daughter?
If he wasn’t her biological father, then where are her biological father and mother?
Also Granny Mia... where is she now?
These were issues Liz desperately wanted to know currently.
Regarding this, the High Priest continued to gaze at Liz briefly before speaking slowly.
"I do know so things."
"No, actually, after learning of Your Highness’s existence, I and the priests at the temple spent a lot of energy and finally uncovered many things."
"Because of this, although I am not very certain of your situation, I have so speculations about Your Highness’s background."
The High Priest paused slightly before speaking with so deep aning.
"If Your Highness wants to know, I will tell you all the things I discovered and speculated."
"But you might need so ntal preparation."
"Because what I’m about to say next, even the priests at the temple were astonished for a long ti after finding out."
This sounded like intentional intimidation.
And the young princess was naturally successfully intimidated, not only showing timidity but unconsciously swallowing, finally extending a hand to tightly grip Reiger’s sleeve like a frightened little bird, giving a trembling impression.
Reiger furrowed his brows, just about to admonish the High Priest to restrain herself when the young princess took a deep breath and appeared resolute.
"Please tell ." Liz bravely said, "I want to know my background, no longer want to be kept in the dark."
"Please!"
While saying so, the young princess also bowed to the High Priest.
But her bow instead made the High Priest sowhat flustered.
"No, no, there’s no need for this for to tell you, Your Highness." The High Priest not only avoided Liz’s bow but repeatedly waved her hand, saying, "You are indeed the noble Reinnaier, the King of our distant ancestors, and also our King."
"You are the most distinguished royalty in this world, possessing the noblest bloodline."
"So, please don’t be so polite to ."
Seems, even for a witch-like High Priest, there is reverence and veneration for Reinnaier.
Though the High Priest holds the highest status in the Hidden Land, even in ancient magic civilization, she is one below, a figure of great power second only to the Queen. Thus, facing ordinary royal mbers doesn’t require humility, yet Reinnaier is not only royalty but was once part of the heroic lineage that led humanity to survive in this world.
For heroes, even a highly ranked High Priest must show respect.
Since the destruction of ancient magic civilization, it’s been eleven thousand years, and now they’ve finally welcod back the noble hero’s descendant, the royal lineage; naturally, the High Priest couldn’t possibly let Liz bow to her.
Hence...
"Since Your Highness is ntally prepared, then let first tell you one thing."
The High Priest lifted Liz up, her expression becoming serious and earnest.
"Firstly, let tell you, there is sothing strange about your existence."
Strange?
What does this an?
Reiger and Liz were both slightly stunned.
Seeing this, the High Priest didn’t keep them in suspense and spoke bluntly.
"We have reviewed the ancient texts left by our ancestors and confird one thing."
"That is, after the ’disaster’ erupted, the royal bloodline did not survive in this world."
"In other words, after the ancient magic civilization perished, the royal family couldn’t possibly continue to thrive outside."
"Your existence in itself is problematic."
