Under the High Priest’s slow narration, Liz’s origins were finally more or less pieced back together.
In fact, it wasn’t all that complicated.
It began with Liz’s parents suffering a setback during an adventure in another world; both were gravely wounded, one died, and the other was left in critical condition, to the point that even Liz, still in her mother’s womb at the ti, was heavily affected and died not long after she was born.
Liz’s mother, who had already lost her husband, clearly couldn’t accept this, so in order to save her dead infant daughter, she hid the truth from her son who would very likely have stopped her, and went alone with the child, using the power of the Dinsional Cube to traverse to another original world different from the Source World.
In that world, after going through all kinds of hardships, Liz’s mother finally managed to bring her daughter back to life.
And during this ti, Liz’s mother also saved soone.
That person was Mia.
Liz’s mother seed to trust Mia very much; she told Mia many things about herself, and also a lot about the Akasha Continent, about the ancient Magic civilization, and about the Reinnaier clan.
Once her daughter had been rescued, Liz’s mother was practically burned out, with nothing left to give.
So she entrusted her daughter to Mia, then sent Mia and Liz back together to the Akasha Continent, while she herself left this world content.
Only, she had no way of knowing that, because of the different flow of ti, by the ti Mia brought Liz back to the Akasha Continent, the ancient Magic civilization had already been extinct for tens of thousands of years.
Fortunately, Mia herself possessed so unusual abilities that allowed her to enter places others could not; even after arriving on the Akasha Continent, which was without question a strange world to her, Mia was still able to roam from place to place with the young Liz, going in and out of all kinds of locations.
In this process, because of Liz’s mother, what Mia cared most about was the already-vanished ancient Magic civilization.
So the places Mia frequented most were the various ruins passed down from the ancient Magic civilization.
She even went to the Reinnaier ruins in the Neutral Zone, where she t Yuloli, and t Liz’s niece, Liz’s mother’s granddaughter.
It was also there that Mia obtained the beast-hide map and the Holy Sword Moslo, and handed all of these things over to Liz.
Until a few years ago, when Mia sensed that her own life was nearing its end and she would no longer be able to look after Liz, she conceived the idea of entrusting Liz to soone else’s care.
She had originally wanted to take Liz to the Hidden Land, but because she had once entered all sorts of ancient ruins and learned many secrets, she knew that place was actually a refuge.
Not knowing what the situation there was really like, and afraid she might not manage to get Liz into that different dinsion before her life ran out, Mia ultimately decided to send Liz to a wealthy imperial household.
That is why Hemulinp thought Liz was his own daughter.
He had been brainwashed by Mia.
By relying on a strange power different from that of this world, Mia managed to bypass the many secret treasures and items on Hemulinp that could ward off ntal interference, making him treat Liz as his own, take Liz to the Kingdom of Ginas, and make Liz into a princess.
Of course, she didn’t trust Hemulinp completely, so she also left so instructions for Liz, telling her that, if she ever had the chance, she could go to the Hidden Land on her own.
Then, just before her life was exhausted, Mia herself set out on the road to the Hidden Land.
In the end... she successfully arrived here.
And she still had a few months of life left.
But by then, her mind was already starting to go; she could no longer walk.
She haltingly said many things to the High Priest she t at the ti, yet not a single word revealed Liz’s existence, nor did she disclose her own origins; instead, those fragnted words beca key pieces of the puzzle used today to reconstruct the entire course of her life.
Only after sensing Liz’s existence and realizing there might be a connection between Liz and Mia did the High Priest, in a sudden flash of understanding, combine all the information the temple Priests had gathered to infer Liz’s origins.
Though it was only a conjecture, judging from all kinds of clues and circumstances, its accuracy, if not a full hundred percent, could probably be confird to about ninety-five percent.

Once everything had been narrated and reconstructed, an incomparably heavy silence imdiately filled the entire room.
Even Liz fell silent, her eyes red, looking utterly lost and broken.
Reiger could understand how Liz felt.
He knew that the reason Liz had been so determined to co to the Hidden Land was that she wanted to uncover the truth of her own origins.
In that, it wasn’t as if there hadn’t been a hope that she might learn whether her parents were still alive, whether she still had any family.
But reality was cruel.
Her parents—one had died tens of thousands of years ago, and the other had fallen in another world.
Even if she still had any blood relatives, those relatives had essentially all died along with the downfall of the ancient Magic civilization.
Even Mia, who had personally raised her, had passed away several years ago.
The High Priest told Liz that Mia had not been buried in the Hidden Land; she truly didn’t seem to like the Hidden Land very much, or perhaps seeing the Hidden Land would make her think of so painful things, so one day she quietly disappeared without a sound.
