At this mont, the number of people appearing in the training grounds was more than anyone could have imagined.
Not only were the personnel and guard knights from the ipros family present, but even the soldiers who typically trained here were scattered around in small groups, standing at a distance, holding their breaths, and looking towards the two confronting each other.
They could clearly feel a presence from those two that seed heavy enough to crush the earth, turning into a storm that t them head-on.
Feeling that presence, even the most resolute could not help but be moved at this mont. Those of weaker will lost all color in their faces, and if it weren’t for the fact that they were still knights and swordsn who had undergone rigorous training, they would certainly have been overwheld by the storm of that presence, kneeling on the ground trembling.
"Is that, is that the Thunder Light Sword Saint of legends?"
"To be able to confront Lord ipros like this... it seems the rumors are true; that outrageously young lad really is a Sword Saint."
"...I didn’t want to believe that a 17-year-old boy could reach the realm of a Sword Saint, sothing that we might not achieve in a lifeti, but seeing this scene, I’m afraid denial is no longer an option."
"But why would the two Sword Saints suddenly engage in such a duel?"
"That murderous intent, it doesn’t seem like they plan to stop at just a spar, right?"
"Isn’t that obvious? Lord ipros has donned his full armants!"
"Indeed..."
Around them, the knights who were unclear about the whole situation began whispering amongst themselves; so were excited, so anxious, so doubtful, so tense, each displaying their own reactions.
The ipros family’s three brothers were also present, arriving at the best viewing spot surrounded by many knights, watching Reiger and Revin confront one another with grave expressions.
Axel was the first to speak.
"I never thought father would bring out those two ancient treasures for use," said Axel. "It seems that the Thunder Light Sword Saint has truly angered father."
"Brother, are you not angry?" Diego took on an ’as expected’ deanor, his face contorting into an ugly sneer, "That Thunder Light Sword Saint hasn’t given any regard to our ipros family at all, barging into our mansion and suppressing us from the start, even showing such blatant disrespect when facing father. Such a person should be taught a harsh lesson."
"...I am naturally angry too," Axel said after a mont of silence, followed by a sigh, "My concern is, making an enemy out of a promising young Sword Saint like this – I wonder if it is good or bad for our ipros family in the end?"
Hearing this, Diego fell silent.
Then, it was Kazi’s turn to speak.
"With the current situation, Reiger Brillhaut is clearly here to pick a fight, and naturally, father would not step back," Kazi said calmly. "Not to ntion that father is not the sort to back down, even if he was willing to, the other party has provoked us like this. If we do not respond to such a challenge, the loss will not just be of father’s personal reputation but also of the entire ipros family and our territory’s reputation."
"With both sides now truly holding a grudge, and neither willing to let things go, the inevitable result is a true test of skills."
"Don’t worry. Although father is domineering and tough, he’s not unreasonable. He likely won’t kill the Thunder Light Sword Saint, but will instead give him a lesson he’ll never forget."
Kazi’s words made both Axel and Diego nod in understanding.
Yet they did not have the slightest doubt that their father would lose.
This opinion seed to be shared by Nipede as well.
"...Now the trouble has really escalated."
In another spot that offered an excellent view, Nipede sighed as he looked at Revin standing opposite Reiger.
"What’s the matter?"
Liz, who was already quite tense, beca more so upon hearing Nipede’s comnt.
"Look at the weapons and armants on Sir Revin."
Nipede pointed in Revin’s direction, urging Liz to follow his fingertip toward Revin.
Upon seeing this, Liz imdiately sensed sothing was amiss.
She saw that Revin was clad in a full set of armor.
It was a suit of silver armor with a red cape at the back. Except for the missing helt, it looked like it could secure every other part of the body very firmly. The armor did not seem heavy but rather gave off an impression of being thin, possibly compromising defensive power for increased agility. With his strong build, Revin wore it as if it were a combat uniform rather than armor.
The sheen from the armor and the faint fluctuation of magic power it emitted confird to Liz that it was no ordinary protection.
Beyond that, Revin also held a greatsword in his hand.
The sword was two ters long, its blade alone longer than the height of an adult. The width might not have been remarkable, but from the side, it still had an impression of a steel plate.
This sword had a magic crystal of extrely high quality embedded at the poml, and its blade glowed as if coated with a film of light. The sharp edge dazzled with arc flashes, clearly indicating it was a weapon that could easily cut through most things in the world.
With such a weapon in hand and wearing such armor, Revin could certainly be called fully ard.
Yet, this armor was not ordinary.
"Could it be...?"
Liz shuddered at the thought of those two items of armor.
"It seems you know, Miss Liz," Nipede said with a wry smile, "That’s right, the weapons and armor Sir Revin is wearing are Ancient Secret Treasures."
Just like Reiger had once entered the kingdom’s treasury and selected an Ancient Secret Treasure to take with him, Revin had also visited the kingdom’s treasury to select treasures, and he had been there twice.
The first ti was when Revin had just been promoted to Sword Saint and had expressed his loyalty to the Genas Kingdom.
Back then, to win people over, King Hemulinp permitted Revin to enter the treasury to select a treasure.
That ti, Revin took a sword from the treasury.
The second ti was when Revin was appointed as the Border Marquis and ca to sit on the southern borders of the Genas Kingdom, taking on the heavy responsibility of defending against the invasions from the Leiblu Kingdom.
At that ti, to enhance the strength of this Border Marquis and the defense of the border, the high officials of the kingdom unanimously proposed that Revin should enter the treasury once more and select another treasure to take with him.
That ti, Revin took a set of armor from the treasury.
From then on, the Border Guardian Sword Saint Revin ipros erupted in power and beca a fierce warrior renowned for creating marvels on the battlefield. He successfully repelled the massive invasions of the Leiblu Kingdom several tis, and his war prowess amazed the neighboring countries.
Thanks to this, the two Secret Treasures that Revin possessed beca famous, even among the common folk.
"Those are the two Ancient Secret Treasures rumored to be in Sir Revin’s possession—the Sword of the Rebel and the Monis Armor."
Nipede said this by Liz’s side.
"They are two Ancient Secret Treasures with considerable power."
"The Sword of the Rebel has the sharpness to cut through iron like mud and possesses many effects such as magic-breaking, defense-piercing, and curse-dispelling, and is considered the weapon with the strongest attack power in the Genas Kingdom."
"The Monis Armor possesses extrely high physical and magic defensive power. It not only has resistance to the sword techniques of swordsn but also to the magic of magicians, and it can even ward off abnormal states and the effects of debuffs. Even if it gets damaged, it can repair itself automatically and is considered the strongest piece of defensive gear in the Genas Kingdom."
"Wearing these two Secret Treasures, Sir Revin is essentially equipped with both the strongest spear and the strongest shield. Even when facing an opponent of the sa Sword Saint caliber, he can overpower them. When he breaks into the enemy’s encirclent, not a single attack from the many knights of the Leiblu Kingdom could leave a mark on him. They would be breached, and their formation torn apart."
"Such Sir Revin has always been considered the strongest Sword Saint in the kingdom by the commoners who are unaware of the existence of that old Sword Saint in the palace. Many nobles within the ranks of the powerful also believe that when he’s fully ard, even facing that person in the palace, he wouldn’t be defeated easily."
Nipede sighed.
"Now, Sir Revin has brought out these two great Secret Treasures. This situation is really troubleso, very bad indeed for Sir Brillhaut."
Upon hearing this, Liz’s hand clutching the Sword of Moslo tightened involuntarily.
In Nipede and the others’ estimation, Reiger, as a newly promoted Sword Saint, was already outmatched by the Border Guardian Sword Saint, who had been promoted ten years ago and had accumulated a wealth of battle experience fighting on the battlefield.
Now, the Border Guardian Sword Saint had unveiled the two major Secret Treasures from the kingdom’s treasury, possessing both the strongest spear and the strongest shield, which undoubtedly further widened the gap in power between them.
Of course, Reiger was also wielding a powerful weapon, which many could see.
However, how much might that mysterious weapon wielded, remained unclear to all, whereas the extent of power of Revin’s two Secret Treasures was well understood.
Therefore, no one believed that the blade in Reiger’s hand could compare to the two Ancient Secret Treasures in Revin’s possession.
As such, Kazi and the others did not think Revin would lose, and even Nipede seed to have little hope.
"Master..."
Liz whispered with worry in her voice.
"Don’t worry," Nipede tried to reassure her. "Besides being a swordsman, Sir Brillhaut is also a magician. If he uses magic as well, even if he can’t inflict harm on Revin clothed in the Monis Armor, he might still improve his combat strength a bit. It’s not certain that he has no chance of winning."
What Nipede comforting Liz didn’t know was that Reiger had decided not to use magic in this battle.
Revin then said so in the arena.
"You can use magic to strengthen yourself; I’ll give you ti,"
Revin said with his cold words, to which Reiger indifferently replied.
"I don’t need to, to deal with you."
