As ti passed, the afterglow faded, and the sun had completely sunk into the sea on the other side, quietly ushering in the night.
Yet, at the onset of nightfall, one place remained brightly lit.
It was Tintagel Village.
"What, what in the world is happening!?"
Altoria climbed up a headland with Reiger, looking toward Tintagel Village, her voice filled with astonishnt and panic.
There was no helping it.
The village that had been fine just a mont ago was now plunged into a sea of flas.
Buildings were burning.
The firelight illuminated the surroundings, driving away the darkness.
A great fire had descended upon the village of Tintagel, and faintly, the sounds of shouting, fighting, and the intense fluctuations of Magic Power spilled out from the village, creating an atmosphere of a tragic play.
"Everyone...!"
Seeing this scene, Altoria’s mind went red with haste, and without thinking, she wanted to jump down and rush into the village.
"You can’t an that?" Reiger’s quick reflexes enabled him to reach out and grab Altoria by the back of her neck, lifting her up. "What are you planning to do? You’re not thinking of running into the village to save people, are you?"
After being treated in such a manner, seeing the village in trouble, her first thought was actually to help?
"Are you really such a hopeless do-gooder?"
Reiger’s inability to comprehend elicited a loud cry from Altoria.
"But we can’t just act as if we’ve seen nothing at all...!?"
The so-called Child of Prophecy spoke thus.
Reiger really wanted to ask Altoria, why not?
Were there people in that village who treated you well? Or was there soone who offered you a helping hand when you were in trouble?
No, not one.
If there were none, why couldn’t you just act as if you’ve seen nothing?
Thinking this in his heart, Reiger also knew that even if he said this, Altoria would still want to rush over.
After all, it was the place where the girl had lived for sixteen years; even if only painful mories were there, seeing it beco a sea of flas, the girl still wanted to rush over, feeling that it was better than doing nothing.
"That’s why I said it’s troubleso." Reiger shook his head and, lifting Altoria directly, activated the teleportation magic.
In the next mont, Reiger and Altoria appeared above Tintagel Village.
From this position, both Reiger and Altoria could feel a wave of heat.
The fiercely burning village continuously released thick smoke into the vault of the sky, causing Reiger and Altoria to be surrounded by rising black smoke.
The air was filled with the sll of burning and smoke, and on top of that, there was a heavy scent of blood.
This was to be expected.
From their position, Reiger and Altoria could see that within the village engulfed by flas, a brutal slaughter was underway.
"It’s all because of you useless Wind Clan!"
"If you hadn’t been so incompetent, how could that imposter have escaped?"
"You useless fools shouldn’t continue to stay in the village and waste resources!"
A few fairy mbers of the Tusk Clan with werewolf-like appearances cursed while they lunged with astonishing speed at several fairies of the Wind Clan, swinging their claws at them.
"Spurt!" "Spurt!" "Spurt!"...
In the overly crisp sound of flesh being torn, those Wind Clan fairies didn’t even get a chance to speak before they were torn in half by the physically superior Tusk Clan fairies.
"Boom!"
However, the Tusk Clan fairies had no ti to savor their victory before their heads were simultaneously smashed by several large hamrs.
The ones responsible for this were several fairies of the Earth Clan with dwarf-like appearances, holding heavy hamrs in their hands.
As they cracked the skulls of the Tusk Clan fairies with their hamrs, they also hurled curses.
"What use are you Tusk Clan mbers?"
"A bunch of idiots with strength but empty heads, what gives you the right to speak to us in such a high and mighty tone?"
"It’s because you’re so useless that we couldn’t capture that imposter!"
The cursing Earth Clan mbers, unsatisfied, hamred relentlessly at the bodies lying on the ground. Leveraging their strength far surpassing that of humans, they shattered the corpses of the Tusk Clan fairies, causing blood and flesh to splatter in a horrific and bloody scene.
The sa scene was occurring in other parts of the village.
"Damn Earth Clan! It’s because of you brutes and your ugliness that we ran out of treasures so quickly!"
"If it weren’t for you constantly demanding tal for forging, there would still be a lot left of the treasure that imposter brought originally!"
"And how much better can you Wind Clan fairies be? Always clamoring to spend in the big cities or to throw parties!"
"You’re the garbage that wastes treasures!"
"And you Tusk Clan, absolutely useless in normal tis, only good for manual labor, yet eating more than anyone else!"
"We fairies don’t even need to eat, but just because you find it fun, you keep overindulging. You really should just disappear!"
"The ones who should disappear are you!"
"That’s right! It’s you!"
"It’s you!"
"You!"
"Kill!"
"Kill them!"
"If we kill them, life in the village will be much better from now on!"
"Get rid of all the troublemakers!"
And so, a group of fairies slaughtered each other amidst the blaze, their thods extrely cruel and rciless. They didn’t seem like fellow villagers who had lived together for many years but like bitter enemies engaged in a life-or-death struggle, creating a ceaseless cacophony of cursing, roaring, groaning, and screaming that lingered for a long ti.
