All fairies who couldn’t tolerate Morgan’s rule had been dealt with.
Those who hadn’t been dealt with had already fled the city, escaping to lands unknown to anyone.
This illustrated just how tyrannical and forceful Morgan’s rule over Fairy Country Britannia was.
Such a Morgan didn’t need to listen to anyone’s opinion, nor would he listen to others. To Morgan, the dissatisfaction and opposition of others were nothing but the buzzing of mosquitoes.
And when such a Morgan decided to marry Reiger, no matter whether others were dissatisfied, they had to obey.
Realizing Gawain’s aning, Reiger fell silent for a while before suddenly asking a question.
"What about Beryl Gate?"
Gawain was caught off guard by the abrupt question.
"Beryl Gate?" Gawain looked surprised and said, "You know that suspicious human?"
"Sort of," Reiger nodded non-committally and said, "Isn’t he Morgan’s husband?"
"Him?" Gawain frowned and replied, "I don’t know where you heard such a thing, but I can tell you that the suspicious human is not Her Majesty’s husband."
"Her Majesty has never ntioned such a thing, and when she introduced Beryl Gate to us, she used the word ’accomplice’."
At these words, Reiger fell completely silent.
Now there was one more thing beyond his control.
As far as Reiger was inford, in the original story, Beryl Gate was the husband acknowledged by Morgan.
That man had an extrely important influence on both the birth and the ergence of Morgan and Fairy Country Britannia. Without him, Morgan, who ruled Fairy Country Britannia for two thousand years, wouldn’t exist, nor would Fairy Country Britannia.
It was for this reason that Morgan acknowledged him as her husband, even though there was not a trace of love between them.
But now, the plot had changed.
"Can you tell where that guy is now?"
Reiger asked Gawain.
"He’s in New Darlington." Though perplexed by Reiger’s interest in that suspicious human, Gawain answered his question and said, "He caught the eye of Morgan’s adopted daughter, the Elf Knight Tristan, who allowed him to do as he pleased in New Darlington. As a result, he established a slaughterhouse there, where he enjoys watching fairies and humans fight each other every day."
Saying this, a look of overt displeasure appeared on Gawain’s face.
Clearly, she found such actions contemptible.
"New Darlington..."
Reiger tapped his fingers on the table, seemingly deep in thought.
This part was the sa as the original story; there had been no change.
So, it was very likely that not much of the plot had changed.
"Will he attend the wedding as well?"
With a thought, Reiger asked another question.
"...Probably?" Gawain said with so uncertainty, "He often acts together with Tristan, and his relationship with Her Majesty isn’t as simple as it seems on the surface, so it’s quite likely he’ll attend."
"Is that so?" Reiger smiled and said, "In that case, I do want to et him."
Perhaps, from Beryl Gate, Reiger could find out what exactly had happened with Morgan.
At worst, by observing Beryl Gate’s condition, Reiger could also assess how the "outside world" was faring, and when those foreign magicians who would help the prophesied child might co to Fairy Country Britannia.
While Reiger was thinking of such matters, he heard Gawain say this.
"...Since you ntioned Beryl Gate, let also give you a word of caution," Gawain suddenly said to Reiger, "Be wary of Tristan."
Reiger snapped back to reality and raised an eyebrow at Gawain.
"Tristan?"
Reiger’s gaze fixed on Gawain.
Seeing this, Gawain weighed her words before speaking.
"In Britannia, though the nature of fairies varies, they have both harmful and beneficial sides, with both good and bad characteristics."
"But Tristan is different,"
"She is a fairy who is only harmful, one who likes to toy with lives and trample on the weak, treating both humans and fairies indiscriminately as toys."
Gawain seed to also dislike Tristan’s style, which is why she was telling this to Reiger.
"Her reasons for killing can be many, or there may be none at all."
"Even if it’s a whim, a burst of impulse, or even the reason ’I’m just bored, so let’s kill and see,’ she would not hesitate to strike those around her."
"And yet, she’s Her Majesty’s adopted daughter, a mber of the Elf Knights, so I have had to defend her in the past, and Her Majesty is also very fond of her, indulging her actions, permitting her killings."
"Similarly, Tristan adores Her Majesty, viewing Her Majesty as the greatest being."
Having said so much, Reiger understood what Gawain wanted to convey.
"Are you saying that while others dare not defy Morgan, Tristan alone might attack ?"
To Reiger’s question, Gawain’s answer was a mix of affirmation and denial.
"Even Tristan would not dare to openly defy Her Majesty, but she indeed might make a move against you."
Gawain’s words made Reiger laugh again.
"Is she strong?"
His casual inquiry made Gawain’s eyes narrow slightly.
"I’m offering you a warning, not advice," Gawain said expressionlessly.
The implication was clear to others, but Reiger understood perfectly.
"Thanks."
Reiger toasted Gawain with his drink.
"I just spoke a few more words because of your strength," Gawain gazed intently at Reiger, her eyes blazing, "I hope to have the chance to battle you again."
Reiger responded calmly.
"Sa here."
