This resulted in the fairies of Fairy Country Britannia having no concept of bearing and raising children, instead, the condition of adopting children was more prevalent.
Without the obligation of childbirth, the marital relationships among the fairies were not as solid. Rather than forming a family, it was more about establishing a superficial community of interests so that so fairies would even marry for shallow reasons like "interest," "curiosity," or "to try out that kind of life."
In such circumstances, the marital relations in Fairy Country Britannia not only lacked legal protection but also posed no problem being viewed as a form of social behavior. So malicious fairies even had a habit of hunting their own spouses, hence here, marital relations sotis not only ant nothing but could also beco a dangerous synonym.
Knowing this condition, Beryl thought that Morgan might want to marry the savior prophesied to overthrow her own rule as a form of malice.
Perhaps, on the very night the wedding concluded, the groom who married the witch could very well end up dead in his bed?
After all, isn’t that Morgan in "his world’s" legend, marked by infamous deeds, called by many a harlot?
Wouldn’t that kind of developnt be the normal thing?
Beryl thought so.
But ——
"...you have no idea what mother has done."
Tristan gritted his teeth.
"What?"
Beryl raised an eyebrow.
Tristan, extrely displeased and unhappy, said, "No one knows but , right? Mother has been pining for soone throughout her two thousand years reign as queen."
"Pining?" Beryl, extrely surprised and astonished, said, "No way? The queen pining for soone for two thousand years? That Morgan?"
"Hard to believe, right? But it’s true!" Tristan stated irritably, "Even though I don’t know who that person is, mother dedicated half of her reign to developing two pieces of magic for him."
"Those are the ’Garden’ and the ’Stake,’ which even I am not permitted to use."
"Originally, I thought that the ’Garden’ and the ’Stake’ were like the ’Tower,’ only usable by mother. Later she told they were actually similar to the ’Mirror,’ things that could be entrusted to , only she couldn’t do it because the ’Garden’ and the ’Stake’ are effective only for one person, magic that exists solely for him."
As he spoke, Tristan, infuriated, swung his hand and with his sharp nails cut open a fairy corpse lying beside him, dismbering it.
"That was when I understood, soone has always lived in mother’s heart. If she were ever to marry, she would only marry him, it would never be so random fairy she married like the others."
Hearing this, Beryl lowered his eyelids.
"...this is indeed a most unexpected event."
Beryl first murmured softly, then spoke up.
"So, that legendary prophesied child is the person Queen Her Majesty has been waiting for?"
But didn’t the child of prophecy arrive in Britannia just sixteen years ago? How could he have occupied Morgan’s thoughts for two thousand years?
There must be sothing happening here that he was unaware of.
Beryl’s thoughts raced.
Yet before Beryl could reach a conclusion, Tristan spoke first.
"I don’t care about this child of prophecy or not!" Tristan, her pretty face slightly twisted, said, "I have no objection to whom mother wants to marry, as long as this person does not take away mother’s love for !"
"I cannot allow soone more important than to appear in mother’s heart!"
"Mother can love many people, but the one she loves the most has to be !"
"Otherwise, I will..."
Tristan did not finish her sentence.
Her eyes shimring, she seed to be thinking about sothing, her eyes reddening.
Seeing this, Beryl’s eyes widened.
"Hey hey, Spinel Miss, you couldn’t be thinking of getting rid of the queen’s future husband, right?" Beryl, with a face resembling ’give a break,’ said, "Although I’m still a bit hesitant to believe that Morgan would value a man so highly, but if it really is as you say, ssing with that man, even you would definitely be punished, right?"
Beryl knew the cold Winter Witch doted on Tristan.
Even if she didn’t show it, her indulgence towards Tristan was clearly evident to all.
If Morgan’s husband had appeared based on a dispensable purpose, then if Tristan went ahead and eliminated him, Morgan definitely wouldn’t mind, let alone bla Tristan.
But if, as Tristan said, Morgan’s chosen husband was soone Morgan had pined for for two thousand years, then even if Morgan doted on Tristan, the mont Tristan hard him, it would be impossible for her to forgive her adopted daughter this ti.
However, Tristan seed unaware of this point, or rather, she deliberately ignored it.
"Since he’s the partner mother has chosen, at least let , her daughter, take a good look at him first, right?"
Tristan took a deep breath, a seductive smile playing on her lips.
"If he dies easily, mother might think she misjudged him, right?"
Hearing this, Beryl wanted to say.
"What makes you think you can easily deal with soone even Lancelot and Gawain couldn’t handle smoothly?"
Beryl did not say that.
Because once said, it would inevitably touch upon Tristan’s deepest wound.
"...never mind."
At that mont, Beryl lowered his head, shielding his gaze behind his glasses.
"Anyway, I also want to see this legendary child of prophecy, let’s see what he’s really about."
