"Um... Professor, I had a few questions if you don’t mind..?"

The Eclipse Elf paused her study of the various jars of Healing Salve and turned to look at , her athyst eyes still practically glowing in this dim classroom; just having her stare at made feel things, though it was primarily a jolt of irrational ’fear’ as I recalled how powerful she was.

"Questions? What sort of questions? If you’re about to ask if I typically show up to class in nothing more than my pajamas and robe the answer is no, so enjoy the sight while you still can."

Being reminded of her rather minimally covered figure was definitely not helpful as of right now, especially not when I had this healthy mixture of ’fear’ and mild anxiety already coursing through my veins.

Adding in the lust that she was reminding I had deeply engrained into myself was most certainly not sothing I wanted since it just seed to force to glance at her toned navel and panty clad hips...

Tearing my eyes off of her and instead looking into her eyes, I took a deep breath, shook my head and said "I was hoping that you might help understand why my Mana Water is so... imperfect, and why it takes far longer than everyone else to create sothing of adequate quality?"

She pursed her lips and seed to be weighing her response in her mind, not staring directly at as she glanced down at the jars for a couple of seconds, only to finally take a breath and say "You’re just... new to magic, it seems, so your mana isn’t that potent nor is you grasp on how to wield it that refined.

Until you learn how to better control everything you have you will not be as capable as everyone else, and that isn’t sothing I can necessarily help with. Was there sothing else? You said ’questions’, did you not?"

"I did... the other thing I was hoping to know was whether you were in need of soone to handle the very basic steps for your own personal brewing..? I really do have a deep interest in Alchemy, and I am also very aware that I have a lot of knowledge but not enough... current skill in order to implent it.

I am more than willing to provide sothing in return, obviously... besides my labor, of course. If you wanted sothing... well, I suppose that sounds ridiculous; a poor student attempting to offer sothing to a Professor in one of the most lucrative professions around..."

A wry chuckle as I felt like the answer was rather obvious made mutter "Sorry, I should probably just go...", completely certain she would just tell to not bother and that she didn’t need the help; on top of that I just realized there was really no incentive for her to help whatsoever, so-

"I really do hate cutting the roots, leaves and the like, and boiling things take forever... also, if you agree to help test so of my concoctions that would be nice. Oh, um, only if you bring cookies or sothing else sweet..! Surely you could manage that..?"

To say that I was surprised would be an understatent of the century, and Professor Jezebyra seed just as confused as I was as she tilted her head and asked "What..? Is that not acceptable terms..?", imdiately making shake my head and say "N-No, I just..! I didn’t think you would accept..! Thank you!"

Furrowing her brows and looking between the jars and , Professor Jezebyra eventually said "Well actually... let see you make another batch. I’ll prepare the Mana Water too, so just... start from the beginning and show what you got."

Going and grabbing all of the ingredients, the Eclipse Elf told she would write a note if I was late to my final class of the day, so I wasn’t terribly worried that I would be in trouble for doing this.

Starting from the beginning and working my way through the recipe with Professor Jezebyra watching rather closely was a lot more stressful than the previous two tis, but I still went through it and concocted the best Healing Salve I had ever made.

Entirely because of the Mana Water provided, but I think that was good enough for the Eclipse Elf since she was nodding to herself as she watched; after I finished she confird what I was thinking and said "That’s good enough for to have confidence in your ability to handle most basic ingredients."

Taking the red salve from and sniffing it, she nodded again as she sealed it up, eventually adding "I don’t usually search for an assistant, so having one search out with a desire to learn is quite nice.

Oh, and don’t think this is because you just asked; the questions you had at the beginning of class and how you handled yourself after not eting ’expectations’ was convincing for ... though I will not lie, I will reconsider this if there are no cookies accompanying you..."

"Of course Professor! You’re providing an additional opportunity to learn even more about Alchemy, so the least I can do is bring so cookies! But... when..? And how often?"

"That... whenever you want, for however long you want. I don’t... typically I remain here, with my potions, and if I’m not here then I’m back in my room asleep. Just show up and stay for however long you want to be here. Do... do you still need that note..?"

The reminder that there was another class I had to attend sent a jolt of adrenaline coursing through , so without any hesitation I went to grab my stuff, thanked her profusely and promised to show up soti tonight, and then rushed out of the door to try and make it to my next class...

After all, my next Professor was a strict woman who didn’t particularly care for tardy students, especially on the first day... though honestly the idea of her sneering at and berating was a bit-

It was that sort of thinking that I really needed to stamp down on soti soon, because it was definitely going to get in trouble soti here in the future... and sadly I doubt it’ll be the sort of trouble that hoists up onto cloud nine...
