Earth Mana began to spill out of its body and burrow into the ground beneath us, causing the tunnel to tremble as the bear attempted to do sothing about us right before it died; hearing the rattling of loose stones dropping against the floor and the groans of various sowhat loose rocks getting closer to being knocked free, we found ourselves in quite the predicant.

Even still the first order of business was to finish off the bear before it could cause any more trouble, and to that effect both Taji and I readied another attack, though unsurprisingly the Hyenakin was far quicker in acting than I was.

Yanking her sword free from the bear’s ribs and sending an arc of blood splashing across the floor and wall beside her, Taji flicked her blade to the side once and murmured sothing, causing the weapon to crackle before it exploded with electricity.

Flickering once more and appearing in front of the monster, Taji swung her blade upwards and cleaved through the monster’s softer underbelly, opening it up and causing its guts to spill out onto the floor with wet plops.

The bear stumbled backwards and fell back onto its legs, staring at Taji in shock before it tumbled to the ground a mont later, the blood loss and lingering lightning stopping its heart and killing it off rather unceremoniously.

The tunnel was still shaking slightly but the tremors were slowly stopping, and with no clear signs of any more damage it would appear that we were safe again, though one of us was currently in far more danger than the other.

With her back towards and her mana slowly fading back into her body, Taji glanced over her shoulder and froze as she realized I still had an arrow nocked and aid, but instead of it being pointed towards the now dead monster it was instead aid straight at the back of her skull.

Our eyes t and imdiately caused ti to crawl to a standstill as we stared at one another, stuck in place and waiting for sothing to happen; I so desperately wanted to release the arrow and kill her here and now, but sothing in was holding back.

Her muddy red eyes were filled with a small amount of genuine fear as she stared past that arrow and at , though when I took a long, steadying breath and saw her flinch I couldn’t help but chuckle softly as I carefully retrieved my arrow and stashed it back in the quiver.

"You thought I was going to shoot you..?"

With her blade still in her hand Taji seed... frozen, her eyes locked to mine as she continued to watch set myself back into a neutral stance as I looked back at her, and it took her a few monts more before she let out a breath of her own.

"There was a part of that felt like you might."

The typical teasing tone she had was gone, and it filled with a bit of triumphant joy as I grinned at her and replied "I wanted to. Oh I so badly wanted to...", causing her to narrow her eyes before she asked "But you didn’t want to feel what it was like..? Ending soone’s life..?"

"You... are a horrible person, Taji, and I have a feeling you’ve done so terrible things before, things that deserve punishnt... but... so far..."

Biting my cheek and looking away, I clenched the bow a little harder before sighing as I continued on with a bit of a tired tone, not looking at her still even as I said "You haven’t been soone I... want to..."

Shaking my head and leaving that unsaid, I internally realized just how much the idea of killing an actual person shook compared to a monster, and after these handful of encounters with Taji she had earned my anger but not my hatred.

There was also that small part of that kept whispering about how much of a sha it would be to kill soone as handso and obsessed as this, a part of that was reminding she seed to have quite the ’package’ on her and that it would probably feel great to lay with her...

The consequences of living a debauched lifestyle rearing its head, I suppose, since killing soone as handso as Taji rubbed the wrong way slightly, though that didn’t an I was about to start loving on her and giving her what she wanted.

Sheathing her blade and walking straight up to , the Hyenakin looked down at for a mont before pulling into her arms, hugging tight before promptly grabbing my ass and kissing hard, revealing her hunger to once more.

Pushing her away and glaring at her, I prepared to say sothing only to be cut off as she licked her lips and said "You aren’t helping yourself here, Natalie... I want you more now... So many others would have killed there, but you spared ..? That’s so interesting..."

Her hands found their way back onto not even a mont after I pushed her away, and even as I growled "Now I regret not shooting you..." she just laughed and kissed again, savoring the taste for a mont before giving a smack on the rear as she finally let go.

"No you don’t, and now I have you... and you don’t even realize it~! Alright then... co on, let’s get going back to the Academy."

Taji gave a wink before she grabbed my hand again, that stupid grin still adorning her face as she walked around the corpse and back through the tunnels, ignoring my attempts to get free and not minding at all how I cursed her multiple tis.

Her grip hurt sotis, her pace was a bit too fast for to match, she constantly yanked my arm and stole a kiss whenever she felt like it... but she was also holding in a way that felt... possessive, which tickled my heart in a very weird way.
