Isekaied Into An Eroge, Time To Have Fun! Chapter 233: Uncertainty

Pulling the bowstring back, I took a long, deep breath and stared at the target, letting the draw weight of my bow work out my back muscles nicely while I searched for the next spot on the target to hit with another arrow.

Already there were five arrows sunk deep into the bundle of straw and sticks, and the plan was to sink a sixth into it before heading over and gathering them all up; the reason behind this was to test my accuracy, to hit the spot I wanted to hit based on changing factors.

I had done this thrice already, letting the first arrow fly at ’random’ to dictate where the next five would go, and as such I was really feeling the burn in my muscles now; honestly, this might not be doing much for in terms of my skill in archery, but it was definitely working out my muscles and getting accustod to doing lots of shooting, so to it was worth it.

Finding the spot on the target, I held my breath, steadied the bow and then released the bowstring, watching as the arrow sprang forwards and whistled through the air straight for the spot I had selected.

Seeing it sink in almost halfway made grin, and after lowering the bow and rolling out my shoulders I happily made my way over to the target and began to retrieve my arrows, only to click my tongue in annoyance when I saw one of the arrowheads was blunted.

"Gotta be more careful now, Natalie. If we can’t get reliable coin now you need to start taking care of these better."

I nodded at Lu’Shaki’s words before turning to look at the Orc, asking "Have we not found anyone that’s taking any Blacksmithing classes? That would be a lot of help, to all of us." and imdiately earning a shrug in reply.

"I know of a few people but haven’t gotten close to them yet. Soone keeps... distracting ..."

That made roll my eyes as I sauntered away from her, loving how she imdiately walked after and definitely loving how she quickly caught up and grabbed my waist, unbothered by this being a public space.

"How am I the one distracting you, hm?"

"You’re being all sexy right in front of ..."

I just raised a brow before chuckling as she leaned down to kiss my neck, though after a mont I pushed her away and returned to where I had been a mont ago, deciding to do one more set before calling it for today.

"Never would have expected a Cult to show up nearby the city. These mountains are pretty treacherous, and not to ntion incredibly expansive. How do you reckon they got here?"

Setting up my equipnt again, I pursed my lips and thought on it for a mont before replying "Either an Airship that they took to the fringes of the barriers set up to dictate where Mythia is or they ca in slowly, using the Gates to enter Mythia and then heading out into the mountains to establish themselves."

That made the Orc nod slowly as she leaned against the table, though before she could say sothing in reply one of the nearby students chid in and said "They could have also taken an actual ship on one of the rivers.", making us both nod in agreent.

"Doesn’t change the fact that there’s a fucking Cult threatening to kidnap and butcher us for who knows why!"

The first student had been a lean Elf with a calm expression, while the green haired portly woman beside her was chewing on her lip and most certainly distraught, which only got worse when the Elf said "Not like we can change the fact that they’re here. Knowing how they got here is-"

"Who cares how they got here?!"

I glanced at Lu’Shaki and imdiately earned a shrug in response, and when I looked back the green haired woman was clenching her fists as she added "They could find ways into the city, into the Academy! Oh my Goddess, they could already be inside!"

"That’s very unlikely thanks to the various wards and whatnot around the city itself. If they summoned a Demon that would be a ’stain’ on them that would be detected, so-"

All that did was make her glare at as she prepared to say sothing, clearly not reassured whatsoever and if anything getting more wound up by her own thoughts as she prepared to argue, but thankfully the Elf just gave us a small smile and guided the woman away, listening to her in our stead.

"Well... I guess it makes sense that so people are going to be a bit... wound up by all of this. I imagine she was about to argue that soone in the Cult could still infiltrate the city so long as they didn’t participate or were close to the Demon, which... that’s fair."

I just shrugged and replied "That’s speculative and needlessly worrying to think about, so I would rather not. Unless we were discussing it with soone like the Sinner, who actually knows about those things." before reaching for my arrows, getting ready for this final set.

"Well, it’s not like we have much else to do. Most of the Professors already admitted that they were going to have slower classes tomorrow in anticipation for this mild wave of hysteria, so howork doesn’t really matter right now..."

"You make it sound like all you do every single day is study."

Nocking the arrow and pulling on the bowstring, I smirked at Lu’Shaki as I added "Unless you’re about to tell that the next set of speculation you want to do is in regards to Sera’s panty colors or sothing..?", earning a grin from her that was as warm and relaxed as always.

"Maybe not hers, but definitely yours... and Anwen’s. I have to admit I always wonder if she is wearing them or not every single day... it’s beco a little ga, honestly, since she so often puts herself into positions that make guessing a little easier~!"

We shared a laugh at that and I resud my training, only to end up being walked back to my dorm by a lustful Orc that knew there was little else to do today besides go at it, and honestly... I was feeling a little bit the sa, at least after I felt that burn in my shoulders go from ’good’ to ’damn that hurts’.

That was when I agreed that it was ti for sothing besides shooting at a target and chit chatting about random things...
