The fight had beco much more chaotic than it had been 30 seconds ago. Neither team had turned around and decided to attack another group, in fact, they were all still targeting our group and I was having the ti of my life despite being under enough pressure to almost lose my raid several tis.
The groups beca bolder with their attacks and left no room to breathe, at this point I was deeply regretting having only brought one sword, or having thrown Yubashiri's sheath, no matter how light and easy to handle Yubashiri was, I still couldn't move fast enough to be able to defend myself on all sides.
Ruby's group had kept their distance, but Penny had decided to join in the ga when she released the Floating Array, her set of 10 floating swords that she controlled via wire cables. They weren't strong, they weren't fast, and they certainly didn't seem like they could really act independently - they seed to follow a movent together, but their numbers made him irritable.
The worst thing was that Ruby was using the swords as damn platforms in the air to use Thunderclap and Flash, because of course it's also legal since she's not touching the ground. I had to do sothing fast, I spun over Darkness's head and cut off the 12.7mm Hecate bullet that was heading my way, quickly placed Yubashiri in my mouth, spun in the air to lie vertically upside down and infused Haki into my arms, received Ruby's Thunderclap and Flash with my right arm and Floating Array with my left, grabbed one of Penny's swords, and quickly spun my head cutting the wire connecting it.
I spun around again and landed on Darkness's shoulder, knocking Yubashiri out of my teeth as I weighed down Penny's sword, it was light, but it would do the trick. Now that I had a second weapon I could hear several people cursing under their breath, possibly the 3 who knew and knew about my use of three swords.
But now I was more prepared to face the rest.
Todoroki was the first to act as expected, but there was little to nothing her ice could really do, much like Ravel's fire, I got rid of both of them with a crosswise swing of my swords. To my surprise, they barely flinched, instead Yaoyorozu had created a giant speaker in front of her, to it were connected the Earphones Jiro's Jacks , whom I hadn't noticed until now.
I didn't have ti to warn my team, I gritted my teeth, the noise of Jiro's heart greatly amplified by Yaoyorozu's speaker unbalanced slightly, but it was much more effective on the rest of my group and even affected the other participants, Todoroki took the opportunity and froze the entire ground, while an Iceberg grew in my direction.
The trio below was about to be frozen solid when Azula's feet and one of Yunyun's arms generated a burst of fire stopping the advance of the ice beneath their feet, I cut the ice in my direction again with my swords. It was a good try, as the ice also caught the other groups, although they were quickly breaking free as well.
Todoroki clicked her tongue with an annoyed expression, but my gaze went to Midoriya's team that was approaching.
"Die!" Bakugo shouted as soon as we were close enough to her, I moved Darkness to take the hit
"tch, stay still!" Azula growled as she used Darkness once again as a shield against Bakugo's attack, although this ti she imdiately counterattacked, this ti not with her fire, but with her hands that snaked through Bakugo's body and hit her chi points, one on her leg and two on her arm, blocking them. The reaction was imdiate, both of Bakugo's limbs fell to one side of her limply making her trip, Midoriya on top of him also deviated slightly.
"W-What the fuck did you do bitch?!" Bakugo exclaid incredulously.
"Shit! The princess can't touch them! She can block chi!" Toph exclaid in surprise, she stepped on the ground and stabilized Bakugou with a stone pillar, taking advantage of the mont to go against Midoriya, who seed slightly panicked but still, he pulled his arm back and prepared to attack. Seventh Form: Drop Ripple Thrust , I used only Yubashiri for my thrust, which t his fist, there was a clash between our auras for a few seconds, but my sword quickly won.
Midoriya's fist was deflected back leaving him wide open, I used Penny's sword to try and reach the headband on his head. Only for a stone wall to protect him.
"You won't, boytoy!" Toph shouted before she earthbent the entire group. Annoyed, I was once again interrupted when the sound of lightning flashed above , a ball of lightning had ford above our group, I imdiately moved as thunder began to descend.
I jumped up, infused the swords in my hand with Haki, and began to cut down the bolts of lightning that began to fall in my direction. Sun Halo Dragon Head Dance ¸ it was easy to adapt Sun Breathing to two swords, I cut down bolt after bolt of lightning without even flinching. Once I was done, I was left floating in the air several ters above the ground, preparing to fall once more on my riders.
But below I saw Rias, aiming her disintegration rays at , this ti it seed like she was about to use more fire output because of her size, she seed stronger, more powerful, I could feel a slight tingle coming from my observation haki, it was dangerous, too dangerous. I infused Haki and prepared to receive it in the air.
To my surprise, the disintegration beam exploded as my sword attempted to cut through it. The resulting explosion didn't actually hurt in any way, but without any support on my feet, I had been pushed to the side. I looked down at the rest of my group slightly further away than my falling point, nothing I couldn't compensate for.
Except they weren't done with , Taylor and Kazuto appeared in front of . I intercepted both of their blows with ease, but I was still pushed back once again, further away from my group. Tch, I stabilized myself in the air again, only to hear the sounds of gunfire. Once again Taylor's group and Ruby's group tried to mow down.
With no surface beneath , I began to spin in the air to cut through all the incoming bullets, the problem being Jinx's bomb that a swarm of Taylor's bugs had brought in. Once again I found myself being pushed back by the shock force of an explosion.
Once I stabilized myself once more I looked down.
They had knocked off my horse, they had given up on the idea of taking away the 1 million pts band , now they wanted to disqualify imdiately, the repeated blows in the air pushed in one direction while Toph manipulated the earth and moved all the sand to get my team away from .
"You're a nuisance Beifong!" Azula shouted as she took off from the ground, using her firebending on her feet to propel herself in my direction. I steadied myself in the air as I quickly understood what Azula wanted to do, as long as I landed on top of her, I would be safe.
BANG, BANG, BANG 3 shots, Asada, Tanya and Viktoriya had the sa idea, shoot Azula to prevent her advances, Azula reacted faster than she expected, dodged the Hecate II and Viktoriya's bullet, to her misfortune, Tanya's bullet exploded when it passed by her, effectively interrupting her advance.
Azula rolled several tis, the aura having protected her from all harm, she quickly stabilized and all her limbs exploded into fire once again.
"I'm not done yet!" she growled, once again resuming her race. A smile grew on my face. Unfortunately, there were still more participants. Toph created a huge wall of earth while Todoroki did the sa with her ice, once again interrupting Azula. Before Azula could act, both walls were cut by a flash of light. My eyes turned to Yunyun who had a determined look on her face.
"Go Azula!" Yunyun shouted loudly. Azula smiled violently and continued flying in my direction. She was only a few ters away, nothing would stop her fast enough, not at least not if I wasn't able to orient myself and intervene, I prepared to fall on Azula.
"I'm sorry Azula, Izumi." My eyes opened wide as I saw Taylor appear next to Azula, I recognized the position, Thunderclap and Flash, she had used Thunder Breathing, a Thunder Breathing that I didn't know she had mastered, but she had done it, she had moved at a speed greater than she normally uses, Shusui was unleashed, so it could be unsheathed, and she did.
"SHI-" She hit Azula hard, throwing her across the arena. Azula only had ti to protect herself with both arms, before being thrown like a doll. Taylor made it back to her team, using her bugs as a platform once again .
Well played… really well played… it definitely wouldn't get to any mber of my team, and all the participants noticed, they had huge eager smiles on their faces.
