Now reading: Chapter 26: The Non-Existent Future from JJK: I Was Cast as Gojo Satoru, but My Powers are Real!, a Action novel by Shadownarch.

The set of Eternal Blossom was usually a place of rigid professionalism, but tonight, the high-end trailers were glowing with the blue light of mobile screens. The A-list cast was currently paralyzed by the latest update of Jujutsu Kaisen.

"This is... it's heartbreaking," Seraphina (the industry's 'Crown Jewel') murmured, her eyes fixed on the screen where Junpei's despair was unfolding.

She leaned forward, her elegant period-drama makeup contrasting with the raw, modern grit of the show. "The actor playing Junpei is a revelation. His emotions are so layered. Even without knowing every detail of the previous episodes, you can feel the weight of his isolation. Leo managed to make a minor character feel like the protagonist of his own tragedy."

Nathaniel C. nodded, his face grim. "It's the ensemble strength. Leo isn't just making a 'Gojo show'; he's making every single person on that screen matter. That's why it hurts so much when things go wrong."

Director Evelyn, a woman known for her keen eye for pacing and script structure, was also watching. As a veteran of the industry, she found herself taking ntal notes. "This is the best character-driven action I've seen in a decade. It's a masterclass in 'Show, Don't Tell.' The way he frad the bullying, not as a trope, but as a slow-motion murder of the soul is haunting. It would be a cri if this show didn't sweep the awards season."

"I'm actually angry!" Sophie Vane burst out, slapping her script onto the table. "Junpei is so incredibly pitiful. Everything, from the bullying to his mother's death was a trap designed to break him. Even if he burned that school down, I wouldn't bla him! How could the writer do this?"

Just as the group was debating the morality of Junpei's actions, the plot on the screen reached its boiling point.

Episode 6: The Weight of the Heart.

Junpei, eyes clouded with tears and madness, raised his hand. A transparent, ghostly jellyfish Shikigami manifested behind him. With a flick of his wrist, the creature's tentacles transford into jagged, poison-tipped awls, thrusting directly toward Yuji Itadori's chest.

The audience expected a high-speed dodge. They expected a Gojo-style counter.

Pfft!

The sound of flesh being pierced echoed through the speakers. Yuji Itadori stood perfectly still, taking the full force of the attack. Blood began to seep through his uniform, dripping onto the classroom floor.

"Why... why didn't you move?" Junpei gasped, his hand trembling as he recalled the Shikigami.

Itadori took a jagged, painful step forward. His expression wasn't one of anger or combat, but of deep, sincere apology. "I'm sorry, Junpei. I was talking about things I didn't understand. I was making light of your pain. Please... tell what happened."

He squatted beside the broken boy, his voice a gentle anchor in the chaos. "I won't judge you. I'm here now. Tell ."

Through sobbing breaths, Junpei revealed the murder of his mother. Itadori's eyes filled with a raw, agonizing distress. He gripped Junpei's shoulder, his tone becoming a vow.

"Junpei... co to the Jujutsu Academy. There's a teacher there who's a literal god, and there are people who will actually have your back. We'll find the monster who did this to your mom together. We'll make him pay. Just... don't be alone anymore. Let's fight together."

Junpei looked at Itadori, his face a ss of tears and snot. For the first ti, the darkness in his eyes flickered. He had been redeed. He had a path.

But this was a Leo Vance production. The "Healing" tag was a lie.

A figure descended the school stairs, Mahito. With a sickeningly casual grace, he patted Junpei's shoulder.

"Idle Transfiguration."

As those two words were whispered, the world changed. Junpei began to swell like a balloon. His bones cracked and shifted, his skin stretching until it tore, finally being compressed into a hideous, non-human Cursed Spirit.

The collective heart of the global audience stopped.

[LEO VANCE, YOU SICK BASTARD!]

[No! No! No! There has to be a twist! Gojo, where are you?!]

[Junpei ans 'Smooth Peace,' but he got the most violent end possible! I'm going to find the screenwriter's house!]

Starlight Managent.

"He's not really dead, is he? Maya, tell there's a reversal!" Della Rose was sobbing openly now, her mascara running. She clutched a plush pillow to her chest, her eyes glued to the screen.

Maya West was already reaching for a tissue. "That... that cruel brat. Leo Vance is a monster. He gave us that beautiful dinner scene just to make the death hurt more. He didn't just kill Junpei; he killed our hope."

"I'm going to kill Mahito!" Natalie G. (Shoko's actress) shouted, her face red with fury. "I'll find that actor on the street and I'll--!"

On the screen, Yuji Itadori was a hollow shell of despair. He crawled to Sukuna's innate domain, begging the King of Curses to save Junpei. He promised his life, his body, anything.

Sukuna, however, rely laughed. He and Mahito shared a mont of sadistic joy at Itadori's suffering.

"Yuji... Itadori..."

The monster that used to be Junpei lay at Itadori's feet, its remaining consciousness flickering for a final mont. A twisted, malford hand tugged weakly at Itadori's pant leg.

"Why... why?"

"Why do I have to suffer all this?"

The arm fell limp. The light in its eyes vanished. Junpei was gone.

Itadori stood in the silence of the school, the rain pounding against the windows. His mind was a buzzing void. Then, a scene flashed across the screen, a sequence that wasn't in the manga, sothing Leo had added to maximize the pain.

It was a "Non-Existent Future."

In a beautiful, sun-drenched street in Manhattan, a group of four teenagers in Academy uniforms walked together. Nobara was arguing with gumi about a shopping trip. Junpei was laughing, his hair out of his eyes, looking healthy and happy. Itadori had his arm around Junpei's shoulder, grinning. They were the best of friends. It was the perfect ending.

Then, the scene dissolved back into the blood-stained classroom.

The internet officially erupted into a volcano of grief and rage.

[DAMN YOU, LEO VANCE! I'm taking a taxi to your penthouse right now with a baseball bat!]

['A thin rope breaks easily, and misfortune only picks on the unfortunate.' I have never felt a line of dialogue more than this.]

[Wait... the screenwriter is Leo. Leo is Gojo. So Gojo killed Junpei? My brain is lting with hate!]

[HEALING?! You tagged this as HEALING?! I am literally in therapy now because of you!]

Eternal Blossom Set.

Seraphina sat in stunned silence. She had been an actress for fifteen years, but she had never been manipulated by a script so effectively. She looked at the screen, then at the na in the credits: Screenwriter: Leo Vance.

The "Hollywood Hellraiser" had just broken the heart of the world. And they were going to love him for it.

"This isn't just a hit," Seraphina whispered, her eyes shining with unshed tears. "This is a cultural trauma. Leo... what have you done?"
