While these three were having their secret conversations, they were also listening to or conducting the eting. After introducing Shenghuovi, Maitreya had a few more things to announce. "Empress Wu has classified Primals, and I decided to adopt her system. Take a long at it, understand where you fall and how you can improve."
These primals frowned. Whether they liked it or not, they must admit Wu Hong deserves the title of the Strongest Primal, but was she worthy to be classified? While they acknowledged her strength, many of them had the confidence to reach her level and even surpass her. Luckily, the Saint was the one publicizing the information, which made it easier for them to accept.
Unlike the initial design for this system, this one has been refined, mainly to better categorize the A-Class Primals. The minimum requirent is three Grand Constructs, but there are six. As such, Maitreya and Wu Hong divided A-Class into three subtiers: 1A, 2A, and 3A. Regular A is for the minimum requirent; 1A is for people who have mastered four Grand constructs, and so on.
The reaction was different. Terogene, Sea Sovereign, and Cao Sicong realized they were only B-Class, while one of their counterparts — Zheng Jike — was one class above them. They thought they were in the sa boat with similar foundations, but it soon beca apparent they were wrong. Of course, while they were shocked, it also inspired their fighting spirit.
The Primale Lineage Leader’s reaction was the appropriate one, unlike Water Immortal from the Limitless Exchange Hall. He was at the bottom of the list, and based on how this system is worded, he could tell from now on that so people will not even consider him a proper Primal. Such news was a devastating blow to his ego and to the hall’s prestige.
Water Immortal glanced at Old Man Black Chess from the corner of his eye. Based on what he knew about this old man, he was a 2A Primal, aning he had mastered five Grand Constructs. He did not expect this shady old man, known for plotting behind people’s backs, to be this strong.
’I am ashad of the Deva Race,’ Shen Tian thought. Despite how blessed he was, he’s only a 2A Primal, missing the mark for the top echelon of battle prowess. In fact, deep down, he had known this for a long ti. When facing so of these people, he always cos short. However, he convinced himself that he hadn’t unleashed his full potential, creating an illusion he happily believed. However, the cold detail from this classification shattered the dream he had woven for his comfort.
’Father God, are you alright?’ Primal Nature Wrath asked through divine sense.
’I’m fine, just lost in thought,’ Shen Tian replied. His son should be a 1A Primal, aning he’s one step from reaching the sa level as him. ’No, I can’t allow that.’ No matter what, he must ascend to 3A as soon as possible.
’Are you sure?’
’I said I’m fine."
’A-Alright.’
The leaders of the top Overlords’ faction were glad to learn the requirents to achieve S-Class and above: a transcendent foundation. Now that they clearly understood why soone like Wu Hong was so powerful, they had even more confidence in the path ahead.
"Saint, can I ask what exactly is a transcendent foundation?"
"The Primal Stage is a transitional realm — similar to Quasi-Emperors — in which a cultivator must optimize their body and soul to prepare for the Santifiction Process. The first optimization is a gift from Grand Dao for mastering the pinnacle of skills in this realm, but the subsequent optimization must be achieved through the transcendent foundations," Maitreya calmly explained.
"In the mortal realm, Dao Foundations had a grading system. Is this the sa for Transcendent Foundations?"
"Yes and no," Maitreya replied. "The foundation’s purpose is to increase the probability of sanctification, ranging from 1 to 5%. However, so transcendent foundations can also help survive the process and even leave room for a second attempt."
As she uttered these words, Maitreya secretly glanced at three people: Wang Wei, Wu Hong, and Ma Liquiu. The Perfect Foundation was the top of the line and should give these two a second attempt without having too much of an effect on their foundation pillars. As for Ma Liquiu? She was a unique case.
Her two transcendent foundations were good, but not to the level of the Perfect Foundation. However, as a twist of fate, when she accidentally communicated with Wang Wei across space and ti, she realized what fate had in store for her, so she took asures to change her foundation accordingly and her destiny. The re fact that she succeeded is proof of her extraordinary nature.
Maitreya’s explanation created a somber atmosphere. The Immorial Tribulation was a terrifying experience, but after many years, various thods of assistance have erged to help cultivators navigate and survive it. And even if they die, there is still the opportunity to revive — it’s just a painfully long and complicated process. However, taking the first step in the Transcendence Path was absolute: either succeed and survive, or die trying.
"Is there a way to verify how good the transcendent foundation is?" soone finally asked after a few quiet seconds.
"Maybe there is, but Grand Dao has placed heavy restrictions on this kind of information, so even I don’t know," Maitreya shook her head.
’Saint’s Foundation, huh? That takes back,’ Shenghuovi thought. All Chaos Demon Gods are gestated inside a Primordial Chaos Egg, and during the process, their soul and consciousnesses are created before their flesh. During this long process, they will begin to understand the accompanying laws from their eggs, aning all of them are born with a cultivation technique.
Besides Hundunxi, who was chosen to be the first, all the others chose the ti to leave their eggs. So exited as soon as their flesh was completed, while others stayed a bit longer for a variety of reasons. This decision resulted in the Chaos Demon God’s strength varying from the early Paragon Realm to the Peak.
Shenghuovi was one of the more careful ones, so she stayed a bit longer, resulting in a strength at birth that this era would call Peak Paragons. One of the first things her big brother, Hundunxi, taught her was how to optimize her body and soul with a Saint Foundation Technique.
’Humans are truly an interesting race,’ Shenghuovi thought. One of her core mories was the task Grand Dao gave them to set up areas in Primordial Chaos that could give birth to a new race called the Primordial. However, most of her brothers despised the Primordials because they were born weak (as Great Emperors and Empyreans) and they were stupid.
It took them a long ti to comprehend the most basic cultivation techniques, and when the Chaos Demon Gods taught them the more advanced ones, such as the Saint Foundation, it was a nightmare due to how slowly these creatures learn. However, today, based on Shenghuovi’s analysis of these humans’ reactions, none of them seed to think a Saint Foundation Technique was a big deal. On the contrary, all of them present seed confident they could create their own technique.
’The world has changed so much. Can we really re-establish the dominion we once had?’ Shenghuovi started to doubt things. She has looked through ti and seen a general history of the world and of humanity. She saw how they rose and beca the dominant race of the Chaos Universe. This race even gave birth to an entity even more potent than Pangu.
’We need to change and adapt if we want a chance of reclaiming our forr glory.’ Shenghuovi was more reassured of her decision to ally herself with the humans. She can learn much from them to improve herself, and eventually, the entire Chaos Demon God Race. ’They may call a traitors for now, but they will one day understand.’
Maitreya answered a few more pertinent questions before ending the session with a few words. "This Class System is not absolute. After so many years of fighting and competing, you should understand that the difference in strength is not that much. In fact, it’s so little that tactics are usually the key to determining the final victor.’
The primary difference between a 3A Primal and an SS Class is only in stamina. With the right strategy, the chances of winning are high. The true difference cos in the SSS-Class when the primal can just bombard their opponents with 6-tier Grand Construct Skills with no worries about their stamina.
"It’s also a good way to judge your opponent during the war," Maitreya continued. "So, don’t make a bigger deal out of it." She did not think, no, she knew, her words would not be as effective as she desired. However, she was not these people’s caretaker. As their leader, there are certain things she can control, and so she cannot. These Primals were individuals who climbed their way to the peak of the Immortal Stage of Cultivation; they can be responsible for their actions.
