"Do you want to try the sa tactics we dealt with the Fanatic Knights?" Ye Guang asked.
"Not yet," Qiyuan replied. He sent an order to the Heavenly Art Division to deploy. Then, a passionate song reverberated between Heaven and Earth. The boil of all the soldiers in the Creation Legion suddenly boiled, followed by a dramatic spike in their auras. A bit of bloodlust turned their eyes red before they rushed toward their opponent with greater vigor and determination.
With this simple move, the tides shifted slightly. Before, it took twenty Creation Lives to kill one Silver Soldier, but now, the number was reduced by half. More importantly, they could now match the unparalleled morale of the Silver Soldiers, which removed all doubts and hesitation in their fight.
"Isn’t your approach too safe?" Ye Guang asked.
"Are they demanding deploynt?" Qiyuan asked. Every silver soldier, puppet, or ti boat destroyed is a rit that mbers of the Heavenly Army could acquire. Instead, the rit is now being designated to the Manufacturing Departnt and to these Creation Lives — well, to their creator, but a portion still belongs to them.
"Yes, while it’s starting to get annoying, I’m inclined to agree that it’s ti."
"Why are they in such a hurry?" Qiyuan asked instead of replying. "They’ve just set up their base, and the best move should be to gather information before launching any kind of battle, but they didn’t even wait a few hours before initiating such a large-scale battlefield. Why? Even their Saint Puppet seed too active for my liking."
"That is sothing worth taking note of, but do you think sending regular soldiers will have any effect on whether we can determine the truth?"
"No, but we can minimize the damage done," Qiyuan replied. As cruel as it was, Creation Lives are disposable. They can be created with a snap of the finger, and the only resources they take are the ti needed to train them properly so they can survive the Creation Tribulation. By combining the Grandmist Worlds of nurous cultivators, the process of manufacturing them as soldiers becos even easier.
"Well, you’re the Grand Strategist," Ye Guang uttered.
"That I am."
Divine War Post:
"Our plan will be useless if they continue to use World Lives," a strategist comnted.
"Don’t forget, we are just bounties to these people. We only need to increase the pressure, and they will send their ’normal’ troops," soone explained. "Truth be told, I’m surprised they could resist the temptation for so long."
"I agree with you, but we can’t be too apparent in our aggression, or our objective will be discovered. I suggest the boats start using the Ti Storms, and the Silver Legion activate the War Cry."
"That should increase the pressure enough to force their hands without revealing too much, so I concur."
"I second it."
"I..."
"Then, do it," Wan Yani ordered.
The arrays of 126,900 Ti Boats suddenly fuse into one, summoning a projection of the River of Ti. The Grand Construct trembled slightly before releasing a terrifying storm of chaotic temporal energy that instantly eradicated millions of the Heavenly Court’s boats. After so many years of conquest, developnt, and creation, the Divine Tiline had manufactured countless boats. Unfortunately, for the Primordial Tiline, they did not spare any effort for this conquest. With only 100,000 boats needed for this formation, the following blow to the Heavenly Court’s Boat Legion was devastating.
But that was just the beginning. The Silver Legion suddenly started chanting: "For the honor, prosperity, and glory of the Highest Sovereign." Their voice surged outward like the warring path of a tsunami, but that may have well been how their auras felt to the enemy. The previous advantage of the Creation Legion was shattered like a mirror that could reflect the horrible state of their existence in this cruel cultivation world.
"The Highest Sovereign," Qiyuan muttered. For soone to have such a title, they are either full of themselves and have chosen this na, or they are a hero of their people and are worshipped even without demanding it. And based on what he had learned about the Grand Saint, he could guess it was the latter.
"Do we send them now?"
"Not yet," Qiyuan denied. "Send in the Soul Manipulator Puppets." The Fanatic Knights’ source of power was their fanatic belief, so the best way to deal with them was to twist their minds and souls to destroy that belief. The result would usually be their madness, suicide, or a loss of their strength, but regardless, they were neutralized.
A group of puppets, created from Ghost Wood—a black wood with green veins—appeared on the battlefield. They imdiately released a spell with a large area effect that covered the silver legion. Everybody in the war room waited for the chaos and madness that would ensue, but they were imdiately disappointed. The Silver Legions continued their rampage.
"Send in more of them," Qiyuan ordered. Most Soul Manipulators teleported to the battlefield, and they joined their kind to work together to boost their techniques. Sadly, the result was the sa.
"It’s not working," Ye Guang said.
"I can see that. The question is why?"
"It’s either that their thod is vastly superior to ours, or —"
"Or, they know of our history and are already prepared for this kind of tactic," Qiyuan muttered while squinting. After knowing of the traitor, Ti Eater, he had his suspicions that this might be the case. Now, he had confirmation. This information ant that most of their tactics from the First or Second Origin War might not work, since the enemy had already learned of them.
"What now?"
"Send in the Divine Faith Haven, the Soul Race, and your clan mbers to try."
The Divine Faith Haven is a master of incense/faith, making them instruntal when they dealt with the Fanatic Knights. The Soul Race is good at manipulating souls, and the Ye Clan is a lineage of Demon Fox that excels at Illusion and Charms. The three of them working together to influence the Silver Legion should have so effects, or reveal a bit of information.
Qiyuan calmly watched the situation unfold. The three teams unleashed their attacks, and for a brief mont, the Silver Legion faltered. But they imdiately started singing even louder, neutering the effect. The mind team proceeded to combine their expertise to improve the effect of their spells, but the result did not change.
"I don’t think we have much of a choice but to send reinforcents," Ye Guang pointed out. Their side was losing, and badly at that. Qiyuan agreed with this statent, but he felt sothing was wrong, so he still continued with his safe approach despite the rising casualty. He sent a few orders, and after receiving unsatisfactory responses, he ordered Wang Wei to return to the Divination Departnt to see if he could find sothing.
"Well?" Qiyuan asked as he looked at the projection before him.
"I may have found sothing," Wang Wei said. "I have detected danger."
"Danger? As in, you will be in danger?"
"That’s right."
"But you’re not partaking in the battle. Are you suggesting that this might be a distraction, but they are planning a secret attack on the court?" Ye Guang asked.
"That’s one possibility," Wang Wei nodded. "All I know is so form of danger is coming my way."
"Have you pinpointed when the danger is coming?" Qiyuan asked. "Or its intensity?"
"No, on the titable. As for the scale, the divination revealed mild to severe injuries."
"You’re a C-Class Primal, right? For you to be mildly or severely injured is a big deal," Ye Guang comnted. His words made Qiyuan frown since he knew Wang Wei’s true strength.
"You know, there is a way we can solve this problem," Wang Wei said.
"What idea do you have?"
"Order Ying Zheng to lend his artifact. With the boost, my divination will be greatly improved."
"No," Qiyuan directly denied.
"You’re not even going to consider it?" Ye Gang had a similar question.
"I already proposed a similar thing to the Saint, and she warned not to get involved with the karma associated with that artifact. So, unless it’s a last resort, even she won’t touch that thing."
’She might not want to get involved, but I’m already deep in it,’ Wang Wei said through divine sense.
"Even so, the answer is still no."
"In that case, there is nothing I can do," Wang Wei shrugged.
"Your information is valuable enough," Qiyuan said before cutting off the communication. He sent orders to prepare for a possible sneak attack before finally giving the order to mobilize the Heavenly Army. Losing too many tis will affect morale, so Qiyuan had no choice but to finally send in reinforcents to deal with all three of the enemy’s legions. However, he ensured not to send Yan Hai’s division or the Origin Seal Continent. Instead, he tasked their troops to remain in the court to prepare for a possible attack.
