"The purpose of [Fate] has always been to establish [Order]. While it may take different forms, while it will not last for eternity, this foundational truth remains one of the very few constants of the universe," Wang Wei muttered. This epiphany sounds so obvious, yet there is a vast difference between knowing about sothing and understanding it. This little experint has allowed Wang Wei to experience the core chanism of [Fate], allowing him to transition from "knowing" this truth to "Understanding" it.

"Grand Dao used the River of Fate to establish her order," Wang Wei murmured. "However, it appeared that things didn’t go as planned — or at the very least, she had to change things." Information about history flashed in his mind.

"The purpose of her [Order] is to create more [True Transcendent]. Unfortunately, things went wrong during the Essence Age. The Bi Ancestor’s ascension hurt the Chaos Universe instead of helping it. And during the Soul Age, Grand Dao probably foresaw that the Ji Clan Ancestor’s ascension would do the sa; she quickly established a new order: the Paragon Age."

According to Wang Wei’s speculation, Grand Dao’s plan was to create the Essence, Spirit, and Qi Age before establishing the Paragon Age, which would be a combination of all her previous efforts. Unfortunately, the Bi and Ji Clan Ancestors ruined the established [Order], forcing Grand Dao to switch things.

’Now, I’m even more sure the new order she will establish with the Transcendent Age will be an age full of restrictions and limitations,’ Wang Wei thought with a frown. However, his expression soon eased. Orders can be established, and they can be destroyed. Unlike him, who has absolute control over the Boundless Heaven World, Grand Dao has many limitations. She might be the most powerful entity, but with rules that she must abide by, there is plenty of room for maneuver.

Wang Wei observed the situation of the world. He had plenty of ideas for other phases, but there was no point now. With a thought, a scroll shining with golden light manifested before him. His [Scroll of Freedom] was complete, and adding to it would no longer offer any benefit. So, he did not hesitate to absorb it and sublimate his [Freedom Seed].

A sense of perfection, accomplishnt, and power washed over Wang Wei. "Hmm? What an interesting ability." The benefit of the [Fate-Freedom Fruit Foundation] was an opportunity for enlightennt during the sanctification process; his mind would enter a state of freedom, free of limits, allowing him to analyze his situation and resolve any problems.

"If I encounter a problem during the transition period, this ability will be perfect, but if there is more than one issue, then I’ll be dead," Wang Wei muttered. Although it was only one opportunity, it was more than enough. If his transition required so many problems to deal with during the process, then he deserves to die. Wang Wei does not expect to use this ability, since he will have prepared everything possible beforehand.

Wang Wei exhaled deeply. His path of Sanctification was already smiling at him. The only thing left to do was complete the second Saint Trait, acquire the Fate Dao Position, and finally, finish modifying his Soul Technique. The first one only requires an opportunity for enlightennt. If that doesn’t co, Wang Wei will artificially create one, or he will replace the opportunity with rit.

The second requirent can only be achieved by returning ho. Under normal circumstances, the owner of the Fate Position should be a worthy competitor. After all, the person should be a Dao Overlord such as him. Unfortunately, Wang Wei is too powerful and has too many advantages. The only issue will probably be tracking down the person.

As for his Soul Quintessence thod, well, the thing was already half done. He was one of the three creators of Maitreya’s original technique, aning he knew it intimately. The only reason Wang Wei did not finish his version was that he never had enough ti. Since acquiring it, he has been too busy with his Primal cultivation or the war with the Infinite Divine Court.

Wang Wei turned his head eastward and muttered, "I sense the calling of fate. Sothing big is about to happen." He waited a while, and when his avatar received a notification that Kong wanted to see him, Wang Wei decided to show up in his true body.

Wang Wei prepared a table to receive the guests. However, as soon as he laid eyes on Kong, he saw the latter’s karmic debt to him had drastically increased. Although he tried to hide it, Kong’s mastery of karma paled in comparison to his. The second thing he noticed was the latter’s strength: S-class primal. Although Wang Wei was now an SSS-Class Primal, he knew how much ti and effort he spent in the process. anwhile, Kong went on a mission and skipped so many steps.

"It seems the mission world was kind to you," Wang Wei said.

Kong imdiately realized he could not hide the truth, so he smiled wryly. However, he swiftly controlled himself: "Regretting giving up this chance?"

"Not even a second," Wang Wei replied. Kong’s rapid growth only ans the trouble he will be facing later will be that much more severe. "Tear or wine?"

"Wine," Kong said. He’s only been drinking tea ever since he took the status of the Great Sage Qi. A heavenly sll spread throughout the room as Wang Wei opened his gourd and served both of them a cup. Emperor Kong closed his eyes after one sip. He felt his mind at peace, and, more importantly, his Dao Heart, which had just been stabilized, was reinforced and perfected.

"Great wine," he comnted.

"Of course it is. It’s one of my wife’s special brews," Wang Wei smiled as he sipped his cup. "So, what exactly happened to you? And why are you here?"

Kong exhaled after a big mouthful. "I’m here to repay karma." He first handed the majority share of the rit before briefly explaining the situation of the Nine Realms and what he did. Although Kong kept it brief, Wang Wei still frowned.

"Do you understand the possible ramifications if this information spreads?"

"It’s not that bad, right?" Kong argued. "I’ve brought the world with , and by now, the Infinite Divine Court should have learned about the temples from their expedition."

"That may be true, but the issue is that this tiline does not have the information. If they get it, especially that person who attacked yesterday, who knew what they could do with it." Although this was an exaggeration, Wang Wei would never doubt the wisdom of a being who was on the verge of condensing their Dao Quintessence. Who knows what kind of inspiration they might receive from learning about the Mortal Dao Arts.

Kong was silent. He has been worried about the issue. Taking away that world ans nothing since these Saints can just trace back ti and experience what happened. "There is nothing I can do now. It’s too late to ask the Tribunal Lords to erase all traces, so I can only rely on my luck that they do not discover it."

"Should I remind you that death is near when soone with a great destiny starts relying on luck for everything?"

"I’m aware, and it’s only this ti."

Wang Wei gave him a knowing look, but did not continue the subject. "Where did you get the Transcendent Foundation thod?"

’*Internal Sigh* Even by being vague, he still noticed the key issue,’ Kong thought. He had prepared for many possibilities. Since it was inevitable, he decided to avoid creating any unpleasantness and showed Wang Wei the Nine Realm World and ntioned the tower.

"I’ll help you deal with the tower spirit. In exchange, I want a copy of all the Transcendent Foundations," Wang Wei said. anwhile, Emperor Kong was silent. Noticing his resistance, Wang Wei persuaded:

"You have only three ways to deal with this thing: wait until you sanctify, spend a lot of rit to buy sothing to deal with it, or ask Maitreya for help. I won’t say anything about the first two; you should understand the pros and cons. As for Maitreya, with her personality, she’ll probably put all of them as thods to exchange in the Heavenly Court. Now, only you and I will have access to them."

Kong sighed. "Deal."

The process was smooth. The new upgrade on the Heaven and Earth Origin Cycle Array was already completed, rendering it even more powerful than before. The Tribunal Lords were kind enough to still hand over a bit of control to him, so he used it to remove all the hidden power in the Inheritance Tower.

The benefits were imnse. All the Upper Paths had at least 30 Transcendent Foundation thods each. The Middle Paths had at least a dozen, and the Lower Paths had 3 to 9 thods. With such a haul, the foundation of the Dao Opening Sect and the Origin Seal Continent will drastically improve.
