"How absurd," Lin Fan sneered. "You want to kill soone because of their potential future? No, not just potential future, but potential action?"
"For the competition of the Dao, no action or act of killing is absurd — not to ntion I know I’m right."
"You’re wrong. While Wang Wei is selfish, he cares about his wife and family. Assuming you’re right and he reaches the third step, he would never screw the entire universe and ruin his family’s transcendence path."
Hundunxi squinted his eyes, "You’re scared."
"Excuse you?"
"Every ti I talk about eliminating Wang Wei, you always find a reason to persuade otherwise. You may not have realized it, but you’re subconsciously scared of him. And it’s not just you. All the mbers of his generation seed to behave the sa."
"It’s not fear — it’s caution," Lin Fan calmly defended. "After surviving his generation and being treated as a pawn in every interaction, you would develop the sa cautious nature."
"Fear is fear. Don’t try to mask it as sothing else."
"And you’re one to speak.
"What does that an?" Hundunxi asked, his voice slightly raised.
"Aren’t you scared of Pangu?"
"How dare you? Humans, have I tolerated you too much? Do you have the impression I won’t squash you like the ant you are?"
"Am I wrong?" Lin Fan asked, not intimidated in the slightest. "Look at your reaction. Look at how much killing intent you have after seeing a hint of your brother from Wang Wei. If you’re not scared, what is then? Why does Pangu have such a significant influence on your emotions?"
"You!"
"Don’t point at people when your backyard is on fire," Lin Fan sneered, cutting off the communication. Activating the Heavenly Dao Soul, Lin Fan controlled his excited emotions to focus on the battle. He imdiately activated one of the greatest talents of Chaos Demon Gods: Diminishing Death Body. In an instant, his body regenerated to its peak state.
anwhile, Wang Wei was paying the price for his reckless action. While an attack using a flick looked cool and demoralized the enemy, he realized another flaw in his control, and the result was the annihilation of two of his fingers.
"How embarrassing," Wang Wei thought. He shifted his eyes toward his opponent and imdiately squinted. The subtle changes of Lin Fan reminded him of sothing; he understood that so information in his mind that wasn’t connected before was suddenly in the process of doing so, but he still lacked sothing.
The Existence Observation technique started to operate, but Lin Fan suddenly sensed sothing and tried to stop it. The latter had no ans to block his [Existence], but his bloodline was a combination of two Chaos Demon Gods from different tilines; it had its own defensive chanism, which drastically reduced Wang Wei’s effort. And as fate would have it, Hundunxi was taking a stand and not protecting his pupil.
"The Dao that can be nad is not the true Dao, but I – Lin Fan — dare na my Dao, Primordial Chaos." With this incantation, Lin Fan cast a terrifying technique. The Primordial Chaos Origin Law resonated with all the other Daos, borrowing their strength to condense a terrifying cloud-like palm that descended on Wang Wei.
"Origin Laws are not as pure and orderly as the Grand Dao Source, making their raw strength more potent, but their subtlety and malleability weaker," Wang Wei thought. He had this thought for a while, but only through this battle did he confirm it. In terms of raw power, the Origin Laws are better. However, when it cos to subtle manipulation, they are worlds apart. A Grand Dao Source cultivator could use the four seasons and their rotation to control the power of ti. However, the sa cultivator cannot do the sa using Four Season Origin Laws; the best they can do is use the rotation to generate a powerful attack.
Wang Wei’s powerful leg muscles, bones, and tendons contract as he gathers a terrifying amount of power. He flew away, leaving countless black holes in his wake as the sheer power of his actions collapsed gravity and space. Turning into a purple light, he flew directly into the palm and passed through it without a single scratch on his skin. The light continued its flight trajectory, and before Lin Fan could react, it penetrated its colossal body, leaving his entire chess — which was larger than countless universes — opened.
Wang Wei wanted to pursue his current advantage and follow up with a second attack, but what happened next was sothing he did not anticipate. Lin Fan’s injury healed instantly, which was surprising since he had used his Supre Saint Will Prototype — albeit, this one only fused his Essence Saint Will and the second-stage Dao Will. Furthermore, Lin Fan ignored his injuries and went on the offensive.
Nurous chains manifested around Wang Wei, trying to bind him. No, their target was his speed; Lin Fan wanted to suppress him in one place so he could attack without any chance of evasion. Blood flew from Wang Wei’s skin, condensing into a red spear. With one stab, all the blood in Lin Fan’s body disappeared, and he turned skinnier than a skeleton. However, the sa thing happened again: he instantly healed while condensing even more chains.
"Every ti he heals, his body shrinks," Wang Wei analyzed. "And the amount is determined by the severity of the damage." Without wasting another second, he used a move that was once a signature of his best friend: Li Jun. With a flicker of Wang Wei’s wrist, the red spear flew toward its target, crushing all the chains in its path before blowing the top of Lin Fan’s head, but the thing regenerated the next second.
"I rember now," Wang Wei thought. "One of the sections in the Chaos Demon God Existence was about a unique talent. I was never able to decipher it, but now, I understand."
The Chaos Demon God’s unique talent allows them to heal any injuries — including Saint Wills, apparently — at the cost of shrinking their bodies. More interestingly, when their size reaches 50% of its original size, they can drastically boost their strength. However, once the size reaches 20% of the true body, their strength will also drastically plumt.
"How beautiful and ingenious," Wang Wei thought as he saw through Lin Fan’s bloodline. "By combining the advantages of both bloodlines, Lin Fan can retain his full strength even until his body is the sa size as a human. The only downside is it takes longer and more resources to build afterward."
All things in the universe must be balanced. Grand Dao follows this rule, and no one can escape. While the Chaos Demon Gods’ bodies have such a terrifying talent, the balanced chanism of the universe makes it a thousand tis harder for them to recuperate from injuries, not to ntion the resources involved.
"Should I copy this?" Wang Wei thought. After understanding how difficult it is for Saint to heal from injuries, one of the first techniques he’ll create after sanctification will be a healing art. One direction he could take is to follow Lin Fan’s blueprint. "Let’s wait and see the effects of other healing arts."
The downside of increasing resources raised an alarming bell in Wang Wei’s mind, especially after his theory that the primary issue of the Transcendent Era might be resources. Grand Dao has made the lives of the Old Saint miserable; it’s obvious she didn’t want anyone to sanctify after the Ji Clan Ancestor and ruthlessly suppress the resources available in the Chaos Universe for the Quintessence Realm.
More and more chains condensed around Wang Wei, and with a glance, he could tell what Lin Fan was planning. By using his terrifying healing capabilities, he wants to weave a potent sealing spell throughout the entire world and thus, dramatically weaken Wang Wei.
"Unfortunately for him, he has no idea how terrifying the state of [Absolute Control] truly is," Wang Wei thought. One Thousand of spears materialized behind, each of them blessed with the Ultimate Power of Heaven and Earth. "Only a thousand?" Wang Wei thought. In his calculations, he should have been able to sustain 1269, which is the number representing one yuan.
"It’s not an issue of control this ti around," he analyzed. "It seems my soul cannot bear even more." Sothing dawned on him: there was still room for improvent in the Soul Ancestor Realm. "I can still increase my soul purity."
The Heaven and Earth Spear Attack was devastating to Lin Fan. Each of them was enough to annihilate him, forcing him to defend with all his strength without ti or opportunity to continue the previous plan. Moreover, with each regeneration, his body shrank at an alarming rate.
"Damn it, you forced to do this."
Lin Fan used a finger attack, and Wang Wei’s body was imdiately thrown away. Half of his body turned into skeletons with flailing organs. For the first ti since this battle started, he was severely injured. As such, he couldn’t help cursing a bit: "Damn this bastard. How dare he use the Primordial Chaos Force?"
