"These things are getting annoying," Wu Hong thought as she evaded countless attacks from all sides while rushing to her destination. She frowned as she tried different means to hide her aura or presence, but no matter what technique, artifact, or spells she used, these creatures always found her.

"Hmm? Am I surrounded?" Wu Hong suddenly thought when she saw another horde of these creatures ahead of her. However, she soon realized she was wrong: the group in front wasn't for her. The army in the front noticed her, and a small group immediately directed their wrath toward her. Wu Hong didn't fight back; she continued her plan of evasion until she found a living civilization.

After a few minutes of flying, Wu Hong broke the siege and finally saw the full picture. Not far from her location lay an assortment of worlds, and in front of them stood countless military bases built directly into Primordial Chaos. The dark-red creatures were assaulting the bases, and a coalition of humans and countless other races formed an army to resist. Unfortunately, they were rapidly losing, with countless bases being destroyed each passing moment.

Wu Hong's presence drew attention, as it was rare for anyone to live long enough in that dangerous zone. However, these poor soldiers didn't have much time to think about her as their lives were on the line. The officers manding this battle had the time, but Wu Hong didn't care about them for now. Her current goal was to gather information about this strange timeline.

"Immortal Path Cultivators?" Wu Hong first thought. Everywhere she glanced, all she sensed was the power of the soul and Qi — there were no flesh cultivators or the power of Law. "No, something is wrong. There are too many of them who would be considered Insurgent Cultivators."

As far as Wu Hong could tell, more than half of the soldiers in this army were Insurgents, and it did not matter whether they were Tier 10 (Great Emperors) or Tier 12 (Paragons). This was an anomaly. Even the Infinite Divine Court, which seemed to have perfected all cultivation Paths, didn't have so many Insurgents — or at the very least, their invasion didn't bring so many.

"Their weapon is designed to annihilate the destruction energy the beasts are posed of," Wu Hong continued to observe. "And those bases — they are not just here for military deployment. They serve as a multi-purpose array, but the core is to prevent the spread of the destructive aura."

Wu Hong suddenly thought of something and immediately glanced in the opposite direction of this battle. She saw the few worlds floating in Primordial Chaos, resembling eggs in a basin of water. She cast a technique that made her frown: there were fewer than 10,000 worlds in this entire timeline.

"It's indeed a world on the verge of destruction," she thought. Ten thousand might sound a lot, but it wasn't. For a timeline, the number of worlds should be unquantifiable; there should be top worlds that are famous throughout the entire timeline, but the exact number should be endless.

Boom!

A sudden change occurred on the battlefield. The red beast army stopped attacking and parted to form a single line right in the middle. The red clouds covering Primordial Chaos also parted, revealing another red creature, but this time, it had a humanoid shape. The coalition immediately began to panic. Wu Hong even saw countless soldiers lay down their weapons and flee. However, someone activated an array, and all those fleeting soldiers were instantly killed.

Wu Hong was intrigued by what was happening and by what some of these soldiers were saying. So, she sneakily delved into the mind of a soldier who was already on the verge of a mental breakdown and copied his language skills. Of course, she also stole some information, or she tried.

"Why is the protection to their mind so sophisticated?" she thought. The soldiers she chose were just a random, bottom-tier one. And yet, she was sure that if she tried to acquire the slightest information from his mind, the seal inside would activate and instantly annihilate his soul. Regardless, now that the language barrier was broken, Wu Hong could acquire more information.

"…A Destructo King? Why, Heavens? Why? Do you want the Myriad Vitality All Heaven World to truly be destroyed?"

"We all knew this day would e."

"Stop whining! It's just one Destructo King. It's not like we haven't faced even worse situations before."

"What do you know? Back then, we had backup and resources from the Central Worlds. But now, we are alone."

"Shut up. As long as mander Long is here, we will be fine."

"That's right. mander Long is our hope."

As soon as the word "mander Long" was uttered in the crowd, the panic dissipated. Even the rate at which soldiers defected began to decrease, and it wasn't out of fear of being executed. That name alone was enough to suppress all the soldiers' negative emotions.

"Interesting," Wu Hong thought, wondering who had this kind of charisma to force these soldiers to worship him to such a degree, and soon enough, she had an answer. A man about 2.1 meters tall, muscular, with a perfect jawline, sharp eyes, a handsome face, and floating white hair, wearing a gold battle suit and a halberd, slowly floated from one of the bases. His demeanor and aura could only be described as fierce, domineering, and so full of confidence that the word "arrogance" is not enough to describe him.

"Hmm? He's also an Immortal Cultivator, but I sense the power of Law," Wu Hong thought.

mander Long focused on the Destructo King, but a small part of his mind remained focused on Wu Hong. And it was not just because she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen in his life, but also because he was unaware of her origin or purpose for appearing in this battlefield. However, for now, his focus remains on the current threat. Under no circumstances could he allow the Borderworlds to collapse — he would never let these central bastards have their way.

The battle between the mander and the king immediately began after both sides made way for them. Wu Hong immediately frowned. The power displayed by these two was on par with an A-Class Primal, which would normally not be an issue for her. However, this timeline did not have all the Grand Constructs, and as far as she could tell, none of them were utilizing the Source Qi Space.

"How is that possible? The purity and potency of their souls have broken the limit of a Paragon," Wu Hong thought as she moved away due to the shockwave from their class. Without the Grand Constructs, her strength was reduced to a C-Class Primal, albeit one with great stamina due to her two transcendent foundations.

The two fighters did not waste time; the intensity of their battle kept rising with each passing moment. In less than five minutes, their strength became on par with S-Class Primals. And ten minutes later, their power broke the Primal scale. Although they weren't quite Saints, their strength reached something in between.

"Something is wrong," Wu Hong thought, and she was not referring to how strong these people had bee. As she observed their battle closely, she realized that the source of the Destructo King's increase was the destroyed side of the Primordial Chaos; meanwhile, mander Long's strength originated from the array formed with the bases.

"The rate at which the mander is improving can no longer keep up with the Destructo King," Wu Hong analyzed. With her years of experience, she saw more than these soldiers who blindly worshipped their leader. Wu Hong frowned. The situation was not ideal. If the king wins, then its next target might be her. And in her current weakened form, there is very little she can do to resist.

However, Empress Wu did not panic; instead, she looked for a solution. Her eyes shifted to the mander's array and began to analyze it. "The array used a bunch of Qi to power itself. However, its core is the hope energy generated by all life in the Boderworlds; all other Qi are condensed and fused into the Hope Qi. I must say, the fusion process is quite brilliant; it's so natural, effortless, and highly efficient."

By now, Wu Hong was sure this timeline had developed a Qi civilization. It remained unknown why the Emperor Path never flourished in this place, but she had a feeling the benefits she could acquire in this timeline might be more than just pleting her third transcendent foundation.

Wu Hong focused on the array, trying to see if she could improve it to help mander Long resolve the current problem. "There are no runes. Instead, the Array Master directly weaved Heaven and Earth's Qis together to form a cohesive power. What a stupid method." Without runes or other assistance, the barrier to learning and understanding the array will increase drastically, meaning fewer Array Masters to create, innovate, or even maintain any kind of formation.
