Takina shook her head helplessly and delivered the plates. She didn't have the nerve to dive into Shichen's arms like Chisato.

"Shichen, who's that pretty girl? And the other pretty girl?" gumin couldn't help asking.

"Maybe they're his sisters," Yunyun tried.

"No way! The love in her eyes is spilling over!"

"I get it—Shichen's been hiding beauties away. Figures," Darkness said.

"What? Shichen! Explain—are we not enough for you?!"

"gumin, calm down. You're too loud," Tenka said mildly.

"How am I supposed to calm down?!"

Before Tenka could answer, Tohru bolted out of the kitchen and leapt into Shichen's other arm.

He hugged one on each side.

It didn't end there.

"Chisato, Takina—we're back."

The door opened again. In walked Irisviel and Artoria.

"Eh? Shichen, you're back!" Irisviel's flawless face blood into a brilliant smile the instant she saw him.

"Iri, Artoria—I'm back," Shichen greeted.

"Mm." Artoria pressed her lips together and nodded. Her face was still a bit girlish and calm, but her eyes couldn't hide their joy.

"Two more—and each prettier than the last! How many are there?!" gumin was numb.

"And their chests get bigger each ti~" Aqua added, twisting the knife.

"Don't worry, gumin—I'll explain slowly," Shichen soothed.

"Artoria, this is Darkness—a knight, like you."

"A knight? Pleased to et you," Artoria said, offering her hand.

"I'm Darkness. Nice to et you, Artoria," Darkness replied, shaking it.

"Shichen, hurry up and explain what's going on!" gumin urged.

"No rush—we'll go over everything tonight. So people are still at school."

"S-still more? How many?" gumin asked, nervous.

"About eight more."

"S-so many…" gumin plopped down on the bed in a daze.

"gumin?" Yunyun looked at her, worried.

"I'm fine. I just need to process this," gumin said, staring up at the unfamiliar ceiling.

"Hehe. Iri, look after them for a bit, and fill them in on how this world works."

"Of course," Irisviel said with a warm smile.

"Where are we going?"

"The bath."
