Now reading: Chapter 456: I Drank Their Blood from Journey to Godhood Begins in Frieren, a Action novel by Bleam.

When Shichen lifted his mouth from La Folia's neck, her eyes were already hazy and her expression a little dazed.

The thin red line he'd raised broke; he licked his blood-red lips and turned to the eager Kirasaka Sayaka.

"Your turn."

"Mm…"

Sayaka closed her eyes, tilted her head to bare a flawless, milk-white throat. Watching her lashes tremble, Shichen asked nothing—he leaned in and pressed a kiss to her neck.

Sayaka jolted, eyes flying open—then her brows drew together for a mont. Shichen seized the mont, let his fangs pierce her neck, and drew a mouthful of blood.

Sayaka cradled his head, her brows smoothing as her eyes slid shut again, her face drifting into bliss. Shichen likewise took only a little, then let his own blood flow back into her—making her his Blood Servant.

From that mont on, the two of them were vampires as well. As his Blood Servants, they were beings closest to a Primogenitor. He could even leave one of his familiars within them to protect them—but with their constitutions, each could only host a single familiar.

Not that either of them would care; they only wanted to keep their youth forever. Girls will be girls—though the two were still so young. When it cos to appearance, age doesn't change how won feel.

La Folia would be fine; as for Sayaka, once she ca fully to her senses, who knew how she'd feel? She was a War Dancer of the Lion King Agency—becoming his Blood Servant was practically defection. But she was his woman now; he wasn't about to let her stew over it.

The Agency had stirred up trouble for him for no good reason—even if they'd "sent" him a cute girl, they hadn't asked him first. A Primogenitor isn't soone you offend at whim.

The other three Primogenitors might be wary of the Agency, even fear it—but he had no such worries. He wasn't unreasonable, either. He'd just have them offer him a little compensation. As for Sayaka and the rest, there was no need to ddle—everything would go on as usual.

The Agency would be easy enough; Yukina was another matter. Sayaka had not only gotten ahead of her—she'd beco his Blood Servant. Yukina would be hurt. That was Sayaka's problem, but he couldn't turtle; even if he slipped away afterward, he should comfort her a bit. In the end, no matter how jealous or angry she got, there wasn't much to fear. Girls that age are easy enough to handle; he'd only hesitated before out of softness.

What he really cared about was that neither woman's blood had awakened any familiar in him—and adding Kanon to that, three high-aptitude shrine-maiden types, all impeccable as diums, still hadn't done it. In that case, Yukina likely wouldn't either. His familiars were choosy.

Then again—thinking of Tohru and Aqua—the bar really was far above La Folia's. Not the sa league at all. Which ant he would need won of the sa caliber as Tohru and Aqua to awaken more familiars. Did this world have any? Perhaps the other two female Primogenitors—but they might not be so "pure."

"Shichen…"

While Shichen was musing, La Folia recovered, dreamy-eyed, and leaned in, searching for his lips. The after-effects of the bite were here; arousal was rising—and after all the teasing, she couldn't hold back. Shichen kissed her, pulled her close, felt the pounding of her heart. La Folia wasn't like Serie—soone he'd long wanted to tease. She'd said they hadn't known each other long enough, feelings not yet fully grown, that she wasn't ready to go all the way—and he wouldn't "devour" her completely. But he could continue sampling one of the Four Sacred Beasts.

Sayaka was still absorbing his blood, so he settled her at the foot of the bed, then gathered La Folia into his arms and lay back. He didn't need to explain; La Folia understood and turned around.

This ti, she finally wore herself out and couldn't move. But there was soone to take over—Sayaka had been waiting on the side for so ti. Watching all along, she'd learned enough.

Shichen raised a brow. Sayaka wasn't one of the Four Sacred Beasts; she had a few "quirks." To him, that was a rare and precious find. Sensing the "prey," he lifted his head and drew close. She had long since cast off her embarrassnt—and with reason slipping, only one thought remained in her mind.

It was an exhilarating bout that lasted straight through the end of the morning.

When Shichen led the two of them out of the gym, it was nearly lunchti, so the three went to the student cafeteria together. La Folia and Sayaka linked arms with him left and right, walking slowly. Their legs were a bit weak; they couldn't walk normally and relied on Shichen to hold them up. Their faces, though, were rosy and visibly radiant.

"La Folia—see? I was better," Sayaka said, triumphant, to the other side.

"As if. I was better."

"Yesterday I was humoring you," Shichen said at the right ti. No room for misunderstanding in matters like these.

"So that's why today was so…" La Folia nodded, enlightened.

"What? You already did that with La Folia yesterday?" Sayaka bit her lip, crestfallen. So she was behind!

"Couldn't help it—Her Highness insisted on showing off what 'royal girls' know."

"Ugh—Yukina wasn't worried at all, saying with Natsuki ho you couldn't possibly be late coming back."

"Hmph!" La Folia lifted her chin, satisfied.

"What's there to be smug about? He was going easy on you," Sayaka huffed.

"Still ans I went first."

"Mm…"

"So how did you manage it?" La Folia asked, unable to resist.

"What?"

"Everything…"

"Eh? Not allowed?"

"It's not that…"

"Aha—I see. As expected of a Lion King witch—impressive," La Folia praised.

"Lion King witches don't do that!" Sayaka protested.

"Oh, got it—so it's your personal ability."

"You—!"

"Sayaka? What are you… doing?" ca a familiar voice behind them. Sayaka jumped. Stiffly, she turned and looked sheepishly at Yukina. "Yukina…"

"Being affectionate with the Sensei behind my back again?" Yukina stared, expressionless.

"N-no…" Sayaka let go—and nearly stumbled, grabbing Shichen again at once.

"What's wrong with you?" Yukina noticed the oddness in her gait.

"It's nothing—just a little tired…"

"Tired? What did you do?" Yukina frowned.

"Want to know?" La Folia asked with a smile.

"Sensei?" Yukina ignored her, looking to Shichen, wounded in her eyes. He couldn't bear to hide it.

"Sayaka has beco my Blood Servant," he said plainly.

"Shichen, you…" Sayaka tensed.

"Eh?" Yukina froze, as if she'd misheard.

"Just now, I drank their blood," Shichen repeated.

"…"
