Shichen looked at Tohru's slightly embarrassed smile, the awkwardness overflowing in her expression.

He actually forgot about this!

This world is an ordinary one—there's basically no magic, no spiritual power, no special forces of any kind. At most, there are so people with minor superpowers.

Even Kanna, who's lived for over ten thousand years as a dragon, can't get any spiritual energy from this world to recover her strength, which shows just how "normal" this world is.

But Shichen felt this couldn't entirely be blad on him.

After all, up till now, he had never actually cultivated mana. He directly gained imnse mana by devouring the Wiseman's Blood and later absorbing the Fourth Primogenitor's mana. He simply never lacked mana.

Even in this ordinary world, he—like Tohru—wouldn't be bound by any constraints.

He literally leaped from a lower-level existence to almost the highest level; not long ago he was just an ordinary person with no foundational knowledge, so it was quite normal to forget these little common-sense details.

"Ahem." Shichen cleared his throat twice, covering his awkwardness.

"That's right—what Tohru said is correct. It's not that you two can't cultivate mana; it's that mana in this world is too scarce."

"Oh, so that's how it is?" Kasumigaoka Utaha felt sowhat relieved. As long as it wasn't her own lack of talent.

For her, being able to cultivate mana was secondary anyway. She had lived a normal life for so many years; it wasn't like she'd been living in a magical world all along, so not being able to learn magic wouldn't be so huge disappointnt.

"It's not good at all!" On the other hand, Chisato couldn't accept it.

"This ans we can't learn magic at all!"

"What's the big deal? We weren't doing magic before anyway," Kasumigaoka Utaha said nonchalantly.

"But no, I want to learn magic—I want to beco strong, I want to help Chen-nii!"

"… " Kasumigaoka Utaha pursed her lips and looked at her helplessly.

"Haha~" Shichen chuckled and reached out to stroke Chisato's soft platinum-blonde hair in comfort.

"Don't worry. Didn't I say I still have other ways?"

"What ways?" Chisato imdiately asked.

Kasumigaoka Utaha also couldn't help looking over.

Not being able to learn is one thing, but if there's a way to learn, who wouldn't want to?

A normal person's desire for supernatural power originates from the most primitive yearning.

"Hmm…" Shichen thought for a mont, then worded it carefully before asking, "Do you know about vampires?"

"Of course we know about vampires. What about them?" Kasumigaoka Utaha countered.

"How much do you know about vampires?"

"They love sucking people's blood? And specifically pretty girls' blood?"

"Mm…close enough. Anything else?"

"I know—they can turn into bats! Their vitality is super strong! As long as they aren't killed, any injury can heal!" Chisato answered enthusiastically.

"That's the vampire from the novels, right?" Kasumigaoka Utaha retorted.

"But real life doesn't have vampires at all."

"…You have a point," Utaha had no coback.

"Who says real life doesn't have vampires?" Shichen smiled, countering her.

"Eh? There really are vampires in reality?"

"Of course there are. One stands before you now."

"?"

Both of them froze, uncertainly staring at him.

"You're a vampire?" Kasumigaoka Utaha asked with a weird expression.

"To be precise, I have a vampire's powers."

"Really? Then why aren't you afraid of the sun?"

"It's not the Middle Ages anymore. Why would vampires still fear sunlight?"

"…Then prove it."

"Sure."

Shichen nodded and imdiately, his pupils turned crimson, a dazzling red glow emanating from within—strange yet enchanting. He opened his mouth and extended his fangs—yet it didn't look out of place.

Kasumigaoka Utaha opened her eyes wide, dazed as she stared at his sudden transformation, the shock trembling within her.

On the contrary, Chisato was delighted. She stepped forward eagerly to examine this form, even reaching out to touch his fangs.

"Chen-nii suddenly looks even more handso—why do I feel even more drawn in? So this is a vampire? Chen-nii, are you going to suck my blood?"

"How? I wasn't handso before?" Shichen teased with a chuckle.

"Hehe, different kind of handso. You used to have a bit of a holy vibe; now you feel more seductive."

"Well, guess that's a vampire for you."

"So, Chen-nii, are you going to suck my blood?" Chisato asked expectantly.

"Don't rush." Shichen lovingly pinched her smooth cheek, then turned to Kasumigaoka Utaha.

"Utaha, are you aware of a vampire's 'Blood Kin'?"

"Blood kin? As in turning soone into a vampire's thrall by sucking their blood?"

"Mm…it's roughly that idea, but specifically I'm referring to 'Blood Servants.'"

"Don't know."

"Simply put, I can share my blood with you two, turning you into vampires as well, so you can use my mana."

It's impossible to store mana inside them all the ti simply because to them, his mana is foreign and repels them. But if they beca his blood servants, his mana would then be recognized by their bodies, letting them operate it freely.

He possessed an enormous, inexhaustible reservoir of mana—giving so to them wasn't an issue.

And as his blood servants, they wouldn't be ordinary humans anymore. Even if they encountered unexpected danger, they wouldn't have to worry about an accident.

Chisato he never worried about, but Kasumigaoka Utaha was weak and powerless, so he had to worry for her.

"Becoming a vampire…" Kasumigaoka Utaha blinked, staring at Shichen's vampire face.

Nothing about his appearance was off-putting, even easy to accept. But turning from a normal human into a vampire was a bit overwhelming.

Chisato, however, had zero hesitation—she took his arm and bounced happily. "Chen-nii, I wanna beco a vampire! Let be your blood servant!"

"You sure about that?"

"Mm-hmm, absolutely sure! Hehe—I want to see how I'd look with fangs!"

"…Your focus is quite unique?"

"Anyway, you wouldn't harm ."

"Alright…though becoming a vampire doesn't happen instantly. Depending on one's constitution, it might take days or maybe a month."

"No worries—worst case, you just give more blood!"

"You…" Shichen shook his head, not knowing what else to say.

Her mindset was too unrestrained, yet that's exactly what he liked about her.

"And you, Utaha? What do you think?"

"This is so sudden, I… I don't know… would I fear sunlight? Do I have to suck blood?"

"You won't fear sunlight, and you don't have to suck blood. Plus, you'd live a very long life."

"Hmm?" Kasumigaoka Utaha's eyes sparkled. "What about physical aging?"

"Heh heh~ you basically won't."

Hearing that, Utaha's face showed she was tempted. She didn't care about "vampire" status or not, but if it ant eternal youth, how could she hesitate?

"For now…maybe I'll wait to see how it goes with Chisato."

"Sure."

"Chen-nii, what should I do?" Chisato had long been eager to begin.

"Don't be nervous. I need to drink so of your blood first, then share mine with you," he said, gripping her shoulders gently.

"Ohh~ so Chen-nii's going to suck my blood, right? Hurry!"

After speaking, she tilted her neck, revealing her fair, delicate nape.

"…It's not enough just like that," said Shichen.

"Not enough how?"

"I need a bit of stimulation so that my desire to feed is triggered…"

"Oh! I get it!"

Chisato wasted no ti—she undid her sash, pulling down the slanted neckline of her yukata, exposing her snowy-white form.

Her exquisite clavicle, flawless white skin, plus the fullness outlined by white-lace undergarnts… this made Shichen's fangs lengthen more, a red glow shining in his scarlet pupils—bewitching.

Yet Chisato didn't stop; she grabbed his hand and placed it right on her chest.

The softness transmitted to his hand. At that mont, Shichen no longer held back. Another hand wrapped around her waist, and he lowered his head, burying himself at her neck, fangs piercing her skin.

Scarlet droplets of blood marred the whiteness of her skin; Chisato felt no pain—only bliss.

"Mm—"
