His tone and expression were quite innocent and curious, without a hint of sarcasm, yet he successfully drew countless disdainful sneers from those around Baili An.

Jiang Yunqin, seeing Ying Xiu like this, knew her goal had been achieved. Although she felt a tinge of guilt towards Baili An, it concerned her future developnt in the Tianxi, leaving no room for softness.

"I vaguely rember, this young master, his spiritual power nodes have only been opened to seven paths, which is insufficient to pass and reach the mountaintop, but why..." Jiang Yunqin looked at Baili An with a puzzled and troubled expression.

Yet the young man appeared calm and composed, showing no sign of sha or guilt, wrapped in his fox-fur cloak, calmly eting her gaze.

Jiang Yunqin’s mind was montarily scattered, forgetting what she was supposed to say next.

Ying Xiu didn’t miss this opportunity; in Xianling City, the close actions between Baili An and the two won Yin Baishuang and Su Jing had always bothered him.

His dark eyebrows furrowed sternly as he said, "The rules of Tianxi Sword Sect are extrely strict. If one has only seven spiritual power nodes, it’s insufficient to beco an Inner Sect disciple."

Saying this, Ying Xiu, who had always been courteous and mild, suddenly showed a pressing deanor.

Qi Liancheng, known as "Little Shangyang," was in sync with Ying Xiu and also spoke indignantly: "If soone like him can beco an Inner Sect disciple, then what is the purpose of the assessnts set by the Tianxi Sword Sect? I don’t accept it!"

"I don’t accept it either!"

"Yes, I don’t accept it either! Why should we work ourselves to death, and he enjoys comfort here!"

Baili An chuckled: "Who said I wanted to beco an Inner Sect disciple of the Tianxi Sword Sect?"

The noisy shouts suddenly quieted down, and they saw him flick the small wooden plaque in his hand, casually saying: "I’m here in Tianxi as a mascot."

Everyone was speechless, and Ying Xiu’s expression beca strange: "What did you say?"

"I said I’m here as a mascot." In terms of acting, Baili An was even better at pretending to be innocent and pure than Ying Xiu.

Sitting back in his chair, he tilted his body, leaning on Yue Nu’s shoulder. With such an innocent look, this casual action seed not aggressive at all.

He smiled at everyone, making the ethereal-hearted Yue Nu dazed for a mont.

"Brothers and sisters, isn’t this the truth?"

Ye Qingzhou, renowned for her graceful charm, was completely subdued, finally understanding why her sword-obsessed senior sister had secretly painted a portrait of this young man.

That handso smile, wasn’t it just utterly captivating?

Yue Nu also smiled faintly: "It makes sense." Her smile was vastly different from the indifferent one she gave Ying Xiu, and she even allowed him to lean against her.

Ying Xiu opened his mouth, at a loss for words for a mont.

When he ca to his senses, he was about to blurt out, ’Are you teasing ?’

Just then, a dragon-like sword whistle rang from the distant mountains. A crimson sword light, like a rainbow piercing the sun, transford into a dragon and arrived. It was the Dragon Ascending Sword, the companion sword of the Heavenly Seal Sword Master.

Sword Master Yu controlled the sword, stepping on the wind to arrive at the mountaintop. The Dragon Ascending Sword circled and humd in the wind and snow before steadily landing in the scabbard at his waist.

His dark and cold eyes glanced downward, and in the bright light of the festival, his sharp and stern profile was calm and indifferent, his gaze lightly sweeping over the people present.

The Thirteen Sword Masters were unfazed, already accustod to Sword Master Yu’s imposing presence. But the young disciples participating in the trial, their expressions suddenly tense, dared not make a single noise.

When Sword Master Yu’s gaze finally settled on Baili An, he visibly paused. He stepped down the steps, his entire icy sword deanor sowhat restrained, and greeted Baili An with a respectful gesture: "I wasn’t aware of the presence of City Lord Si Chen; Yu failed to greet you from afar."

The whole place fell silent!

Jiang Yunqin’s expression was magnificent as she watched the World Sword Master converse with the young man as equals.

Shen Zhan’s embroidery needle clattered to the ground, his mouth agape, and the remaining Sword Masters, each with varied expressions, were all shocked and stunned.

Yue Nu’s eyes also widened, extrely surprised, then she smiled helplessly.

This young man truly understood the art of hiding talents.

That young lady from the Jiang family in Shu might be regretting this terribly now.

Baili An stood up, his gaze lingering aningfully on Sword Master Yu’s face. Unhurriedly, he returned the gesture, saying in a calm voice: "Junior Si Chen, greets Sect Master Baili."

He was not just addressing Sword Master, but also...

Sect Master Baili.
