2: Chapter 2: Youth Corpse Demon 2: Chapter 2: Youth Corpse Demon Junior Sister has always been Master’s pride and joy.

Once she returns to the sect, she’ll surely tell Master about the discovery of these treasures.

By then, where will there be a share left for him!

Might as well go all in!

But the thought of Junior Sister’s charming and seductive appearance made his heart soften uncontrollably.

How could he bring himself to be so cruel as to hurt such a lovely person?

It would be better to let her help collect these treasures for now.

Later on, in a secluded place, he would force her to his will.

Once she beca completely his, she wouldn’t hesitate to keep a secret for him.

His plan seed perfect, but the woman was no naïve and innocent soul.

The mont he looked away, she had kept her eyes fixed on his face, capturing the malicious intent in his gaze fully in her sights.

Exhausted, she closed her eyes, feeling a chill in her heart.

“Junior Sister, don’t just stand there foolishly, hurry up and help your Senior Brother pick these up.

What Senior Brother said earlier was just a joke.

After we leave this place, I will surely give you half of the treasures and let you pick first.”

However, in her heart, the woman had decided that once they left this place, she would find an opportunity to leave him.

The man let out a light “hmm” as his gaze fell on the short sword at the boy’s chest.

With his keen eyes, he couldn’t discern the origin of the sword.

Yet, given the look of the coffin, it seed to have so years on it, and the short sword still looked brand new, unaffected by the passage of ti—it must surely be no ordinary item.

He reached out to grab the short sword.

Seeing his action, the girl couldn’t bear to see him desecrate a dead spirit and quickly spoke out to stop him: “Senior Brother, it’s enough to take the burial items; let’s respect the dead and not disturb his body any further.”

Hearing her words, the man’s expression darkened with malice.

Every line from Junior Sister seed to express concern for this dead youth.

Could it be that she was fond of him because of his youthful and handso appearance?

Jealousy flared inside him, compelling him not to listen to her.

His movents to grab the sword beca even more hasty, gripping the hilt tightly and pulling hard.

With a crisp “crack,” the sword did not budge an inch, deeply stuck to his breastbone.

The man’s face grew darker as he set aside the longsword in his hand.

He squarely sat on the boy’s corpse and pulled at the short sword with all his might.

The woman closed her eyes, feeling guilty, and brought her hands together to bow in the direction of the boy.

In her mind, she silently uttered the Rebirth Mantra, hoping the boy could find peace.

But in the instant the woman closed her eyes, the corpse opened its eyes, which had not been opened in hundreds of years.

The eyes were pitch black, like a pool of bottomless still water, showing no ripples.

His gaze was hollow, his pupils larger than those of ordinary people, and looked eerily deep.

The man, absorbed in his effort to remove the short sword, did not notice that the corpse beneath him had opened its eyes.

The deceased boy’s expression was blank, completely unaware of his current situation, his eyeballs slowly rotating.

He looked at the strange man before him, moved his pale lips, yet could not make a sound.

He stiffly lifted his hands, and from the joints ca a “crack crack” sound that put one’s teeth on edge.

The crisp noise was exceptionally clear within the silent interior of the coffin.

The woman’s eyes flew open, and she was so terrified that she fell backward into the coffin.

The man also stopped his actions and looked up incredulously at the corpse that had opened its eyes at so unknown ti.

Shock filled his heart only for a few monts before his face twisted into a sneer, and he mocked, “After all the trouble, it’s only now turning into a corpse demon, too late to scare anyone.

Junior Sister, don’t be afraid.

It’s just a newly awakened little corpse demon, not to be feared.”

“Crack crack crack.”

As he spoke, the dead boy finally lifted his arms, placing them heavily on his shoulders, his voice dryly rasping as he made an effort to open his lips, his sharp tusks barely visible.

The woman’s heart skipped a beat as she thought the young corpse demon intended to bite soone.

Just as she was about to warn him, she rembered that her Senior Brother was highly skilled—was there any need for her to remind him?

So, out of spite, she chose not to speak.

However, the young corpse demon did not intend to bite anyone.

He struggled to utter a note, but it was not human language.

“This is the Corpse Language, this little one is probably threatening us to scram,” the man said with a cold laugh.

However, the girl was sowhat puzzled, because she couldn’t see any hint of a threat or malice on the young boy’s face.

On the contrary, her Senior Brother seed more like the villain.

The young corpse demon clearly heard his own voice.

In addition to the look of bewildernt, there was also a touch of sadness on his face, indicating that he understood what kind of existence he had beco.

But he still gathered his spirits and stiffly opened his mouth again.

In his fragnted mory, he finally pieced together a sentence of human language.

“Don’t…touch…the…sword…it’s…dangerous…leave it…”

The girl was startled; she had never seen a newly awakened little corpse demon capable of speaking human language.

She frowned and said, “Senior Brother, he ans no harm.

Maybe that small sword that killed him is indeed very dangerous.

You should co over here quickly.”

With a nasty smile, the man’s face showed no fear.

He freed one hand and swung it to knock away the two stiff palms on his shoulder.

Then he tightened his grip on the boy’s neck, saying viciously, “After all this, you still dare to threaten !

You don’t realize how pitiful you are.

Killing you would be as easy as flipping my hand!” Yet his other hand never left the dagger.

The woman’s brow furrowed even more; she realized that her Senior Brother’s character was truly terrible.

The young corpse demon was already dead, his face deathly pale, but not because of the man’s grip on his neck.

His flesh body was gone, without breath, naturally unaffected.

And a corpse demon’s body was indeed far stronger than ordinary people’s.

His sheer strength was not enough to affect him.

Whether it was the man’s illusion or not, by the light of the sword beside him, he could see that the young corpse demon’s pale complexion seed to regain a hint of color, no longer pale, and fitting to be described as radiant and handso.

Damn it, it’s just a body; how could it cause him such confusion?

Suddenly, a piercing pain ca from his fingers.

Looking down, he saw the hand that was gripping the short sword.

For so reason, each fingertip had a pinhole-sized wound!

Though the wounds were small, they seed to connect to the veins, and his blood, as if free of cost, crazily swirled into the seemingly unremarkable short sword.

The short sword still looked the sa as before, with a silvery hilt and no sword body visible.

But that blood, like a flowing river, poured into the young corpse demon’s body, as if an ancient, dried-up riverbed was coming back to life with a trickle of water.

He was actually absorbing his Essence Blood!

The man’s anger rose within him, and he instinctively tried to let go of his hand.

But to his horror, he found that the hilt of the short sword seed to possess infinite suction, powerfully pulling his palm to stick to it.

He could distinctly feel the Essence Blood within his body was about to drain away, his heart filling with increasing terror as the hand choking the young corpse demon trembled violently from the effort.

With a ferocious expression, he said, “Let go of , or I’ll kill you!”

The young corpse demon, watered by the blood, no longer had a chaotic consciousness.

A gleam seed to touch his dark pupils.

The confusion on his face dissipated, replaced only by a calm that instinctively made one shudder.

His human speech was no longer coarse, as he looked at him calmly and said, “I am already dead.

How would you kill ?”

The man roared, the hand around the boy’s neck grew weaker; he was losing too much blood.

His face was paler than a dead man’s, cheeks deeply sunken over the bones, and he appeared more frightening than a Fierce Ghost.

“Junior Sister, save !”

The terrified girl ca back to her senses, hastily picked up a Seven Stars treasure sword lying nearby, and poured her Spiritual Power into the sword desperately.

The sword glowed brilliantly, but she shakily pointed it at the young corpse demon’s cheek, stamring, “Let…

let go of my Senior Brother!”

She didn’t want to kill him; she also understood that this was all her Senior Brother’s own doing, and she was blaless.

Moreover, the young corpse demon had warned her Senior Brother right from the start.

It was her Senior Brother’s greed that had led to this deadly disaster; he wanted to monopolize soone else’s short sword.

Although she understood the cause and effect, she could not bring herself to abandon him, since they had both been disciples under the sa master.

Besides, he was her father’s favorite disciple, a gifted genius in the sect; how could she abandon him at such a ti?

Yet, she could not bring herself to strike with the sword.

The young corpse demon slowly closed his eyes, saying indifferently, “Too late, I warned him.”

In the brief mont of her hesitation, the man was already dead, slumped over the young corpse demon’s body.

His eyes wide open, his skin clung tightly to his skeletal fra, indeed looking like a dried-up mummy, dead with eyes open in indignation.

The girl stood there, sword in hand, clearly unable to accept the reality so easily.

Her Senior Brother, who had just been full of ambition and dreams for the future, was he truly dead just like that?

The young corpse demon’s body was no longer as stiff as before.

He pushed off the male corpse, sat up halfway, and looked at the girl with a calm gaze, asking, “Do you want to kill for revenge on his behalf?”

The girl looked lost for a long ti, looking into the eyes of the young man who seed as lifeless as his body, her spirit deflated as she let her sword drop and shook her head, “I don’t know…”

It was a strange feeling; he had clearly killed her fellow Sect disciple.

He was clearly a murderous corpse demon.

Yet oddly, she was not afraid of him at all.

Instead, she found his company much more comforting than that of her own Senior Brother, who had shown his cold nature.

The young corpse demon bowed his head in thought, feeling it was better to explain himself.

“I did not an to kill him.

The living…should not touch this short sword.”

The young man pointed to the fatal sword thrust into his chest.

Her gaze followed his finger to the short sword deep in his chest, her heart inexplicably aching.

What a good young man he had been.

Even in death, he bore no resentnt and kindly warned her not to touch the sword.

Having been dead for many years and unable to feel any pain, it was still extrely uncomfortable to have such a foreign object lodged in his chest.

He frowned slightly, held the hilt, and easily drew out the short sword, no blood flowing out.

The girl watched him and originally did not want to talk more with him, but in such an oppressively quiet and tense environnt, she couldn’t help speaking up.

“Hey, what’s your na?

And who killed you?”
