Now reading: Chapter 332 - 332 330 Tiger Cub from Journey to the End of the Night, a Eastern novel by North Liao.

332: Chapter 330: Tiger Cub 332: Chapter 330: Tiger Cub Li Jiujiu was stunned.

It wasn’t an illusion; a massive tiger had indeed appeared.

In the blink of an eye, she saw an enormous creature swing its tail, ablaze with a ghastly blue yin fire, sweeping across and cutting a group of grey, rotting Demon Wolves in half.

The severed halves continued to burn with the cold yin fire.

Li Jiujiu continued to fall through the air as the tail swept through the wolves in a mont of brute force.

A large, striped tiger head poked out from the darkness toward her, its fierce, cold tiger eyes covered in a ghastly blue glow.

Yet the way it arched its big head over gave it a deceptively honest appearance.

The sudden appearance of the giant tiger caused the wolves and the blood-streaked Cultivators to freeze in shock.

There was a mont of tacit understanding as they all turned to look at the giant tiger, surrounded by ghostly qi and enshrouded in blue flas.

Li Jiujiu fell in front of it, her heart leaping to her throat as she looked into its large eyes.

“Yin spirit tiger?” Zhang Yaosong exclaid in horror, recognizing the tiger’s origin.

A sense of dread settled over everyone, even the Demon Wolf King hesitated with wariness.

The Yin Spirit Tiger hailed from the Central Netherworld, known for its sinister nature and malevolent actions, and its deep malevolence made it difficult for Ghost Cultivators to subdue and control.

Thus, its notoriety was widespread, and few would dare to make such a Malevolent Spirit into a summoned creature.

Over ti, having absorbed the yin energy of the world, it also developed an extrely vicious nature.

The Yin Spirit Tiger was fond of eating Cultivators, employing brutal thods and delighting in playing with its prey before killing them under its claws.

Sympathy appeared in the eyes of the observers.

They thought that compared to this Yin Spirit Tiger, if Li Jiujiu were killed by the Demon Wolves, it would have been a swifter end.

Sure enough, the Yin Spirit Tiger lifted its massive head, its blue fiery eyes fixed on Li Jiujiu, its mouth grinning—a horrifying, bone-chilling smile.

It raised its large, sharp claws toward her slender, fragile figure.

People couldn’t bear to watch any longer and were about to look away, bracing for the fight.

“ow~” But who would have thought…

The Yin Spirit Tiger ‘roared’ with dignity, retracting its knife-like claws back into its soft pads, its paw curling into a soft cushion.

Then, sothing astonishing happened.

The ghastly fire in the tiger’s eyes dissipated, leaving behind a pair of large, round, black eyes that looked comically adorable and honest.

It bent its front legs like a human, stood upright, and carefully reached out with both paws as if holding sothing, catching Li Jiujiu.

Clang!

Soone’s sword had dropped to the ground.

Mou Chen’s hand slipped, and his Crane Wing carved a deep crack in the mountain path.

Li Jiujiu stood dumbstruck as if in a dream, unable to stir up any feelings of having narrowly escaped death, overwheld with shock.

She felt she must be dreaming, but the soft flesh pad beneath her was so real that she comically bounced a couple of tis when she landed on it.

In the midst of the dire showdown with the Demon Wolves, aside from the injury to her shoulder inflicted by Yan Yun, she was surprisingly devoid of even the slightest scratch on her body.

Everyone’s gaze changed when they looked at her, as if silently questioning why she hadn’t summoned such a fierce creature sooner.

Damn it!

Li Jiujiu also found the situation completely baffling.

Since childhood, let alone a large tiger, she hadn’t ever cared for a single cat.

She lay on the tiger’s paw pads, looking into its harmless, round, large eyes, which seed to belong to a simple-minded, overgrown fool.

Li Jiujiu suddenly felt it inappropriate to describe her savior with such analogies, so she softly asked, “Tiger cub…

have you mistaken for your mother?” She even gave it a rather earthy na on the spot.

The look in the Yin Spirit Tiger’s eyes turned sorrowful.

The Demon Wolf King let out an angry roar, cracking the ground beneath him, but he didn’t give them—the ‘mother and child’—a chance to recognize each other, as he led the swarming Demon Wolves in another attack.

“Damn it!

Quickly summon your Heroic Spirit Tiger to fight!”

“Everyone gather towards the ghost tiger, set up an Array!

Damn it!

With the help of this Malevolent Spirit, we’ll have no worry about slaughtering these damned beasts!”

Seeing the Heroic Spirit Tiger’s arrival lifted the spirits of the humans in the group.

They even prepared themselves for a bloody battle.

Injured or crippled, as long as they could seize this vein, their sect would surely spare no expense in providing Spiritual dicine for their healing and cultivation.

“Woo…”

In the twilight breeze, a clear and lingering flute lody floated by.

The tune was graceful and peaceful, like a song of the gentle early spring.

The flock of Demon Wolves, upon hearing this lody, fell to the ground as if their bones had been pulled out, twitching twice, vomiting out a foul green liquid, and then they moved no more.

The Demon Wolf King, running atop a huge rock, suddenly scread as if struck by an arrow in the heart, fell heavily and created a shallow crater, whimpering in his dying monts there.

The humans, ready for a desperate fight, now seed sowhat ridiculous in this landscape strewn with the bodies of Demon Wolves.

They didn’t know what had happened.

The flute’s sudden arrival was unexpected, and while ordinary to the ear, it elicited such a large reaction from the wolves.

The ethereal lody in the wind slowly ceased.

Dry leaves swirled in the mountain wind, stirring up the crimson blood amongst them.

A ray of daylight penetrated the darkness, casting down where a red robe soaked in blood and dampness on the mountain path, the strands of blood on the Jade Flute retracting into the lody of lant.

People watched the youth in a red robe stride out of the darkness, a frosty white Jade Flute hanging at his waist, giving off a warm jade-like glow in the shadowy light.

His eyes were clear, his complexion pale, and he retained a youthful innocence on his face.

Even as he carried a woman on his back and in his arms, his carried an air of solemn beauty.

The young man stepped over the heaps of wolf carcasses and approached not far from the dumbstruck Li Jiujiu, saying gently, “Ah Hu, the ground is dirty with blood, you can hold her a bit longer.”

Li Jiujiu stared at him, her eyes glistening, this refined young man…

He was the one she had longed for.

Silence fell for a mont, and the vast wilderness echoed occasionally with the wailing howls of dying wolves.

Li Jiujiu lay in the tiger’s paw pads, peering through the tufts of fur at the youth.

She had never seen him wear red before, but felt that even the bright color couldn’t suppress his innate elegance and freshness.

Catching his bright gaze, Li Jiujiu blushed, aware that he had sent such a mighty tiger to rescue her, and although she felt elated, she didn’t know what to say amidst the watchful eyes surrounding them.

Just seconds ago, as she faced the brink of death, his face had flashed through her mind.

And now, he appeared before her.

Greedily, she wished he would personally catch her; after being humiliated and disard by Yan Yun, she wanted to cry into his arms and tattle.
