Chapter 626: Chapter 562: Are You a Pervert? _2

“Speaking of which, this is the first ti Wuhe Su Xi has knelt before Your Majesty since entering the Demon World, now that Ye Lian has been vanquished by Wuhe’s hand, how to dispose of her body — perhaps it’s best to leave that task to Wuhe himself.”

The words sounded agreeable, but they were, in essence, utter blasphemy.

As a Demon Minister, kneeling before the Demon Lord was both a natural and expected duty; there had never been a ntion of a subject kneeling before the King and then being rewarded for it.

How could soone so astute on a normal day utter such an idiotic statent today?

Mi Lu also frowned anxiously, truly at a loss as to why she was ddling in Su Xi’s troubles.

The Female Demon Lord’s eyes were half-closed, and surprisingly, she did not make things difficult: “Since Si He has spoken, how could I disappoint Wuhe and send him ho empty-handed?”

She sat up straight and casually waved her hand, indicating that Su Xi could take the ominous body away and handle it himself.

Beneath the shade of black Qi, the crimson in Su Xi’s eyes slowly receded.

His kneeling figure gradually straightened, and he cast a deep and complex glance at Ning Feiyan, but said no words of gratitude, silently rose to his feet, picked up Ye Lian, and left the Monarch’s Return Banquet, heading towards the direction of the cabinet.

The Female Demon Lord tapped gently on the Mystic Iron Box laid before her, looking at Ning Feiyan with a smirk that was not quite a smile.

“Today’s Monarch’s Return Banquet is yet incomplete; Yihe self-sealed and slumbered within the Earth Mountain of the Demon World, not even I could awaken him.

Liuhe has yet to be found, and now Wuhe has challenged Erhe, the Battle Order has been used, and now, in this first Mystic Iron Box, there still lies a River Lord’s Battle Order, just not sure, is it Erhe’s or Si He’s?”

Situated above the grand staircase of the Cloud Platform, at the highest point, the assembly of demon lords below would not dare look directly at the Monarch’s face without permission, naturally unable to discern whether the six boxes contained any inserted Battle Orders.

Over the generations, at every Monarch Return Banquet, the Mystic Iron Box belonging to Yihe remained desolately untouched, no one daring to challenge; could this year’s banquet be so stirring and exciting?

To think that a lower-ranked River Lord would boldly challenge the Twin Spirits of Yihe, Shu Ci himself.

Erhe Zangxin subconsciously probed his Qiankun Bag with Divine Sense, covered in a cold sweat, he worried that he had been the victim of a plot, when had his Battle Order been stolen?

When the Divine Sense entered the bag, he found the Battle Order safely resting inside the Qiankun Bag, and only then did Zangxin’s heart sink back into his stomach.

Then, as if suddenly realizing sothing, he glanced at Ning Feiyan quietly drinking tea with her head lowered, and couldn’t help but show a look of sympathy and pity.

Su Xi cradled the cold body of Ye Lian, fresh blood trailing down her arm onto the ground.

He arrived in front of his chamber, his steps suddenly halted, and he coldly glanced back at the malign creature Huodou behind him.

The malign creature Huodou trembled slightly, its gaze cautious, understanding without needing to be told, it chose to be absent, deaf, mute, shattering and dispersing like a reflection on water.

Although Huodou’s role was to keep Wuhe Su Xi’s freedom in check, to keep him from easily leaving the Royal City of the Demon World,

After all, with his status laid bare, Huodou had no right to intrude on Su Xi’s privacy, nor did it dare to spy on his lifestyle.

Whenever Su Xi revealed such a cold gaze, Huodou would seal away its senses, not daring to look or listen further.

It just needed to ensure the chains remained intact.

After Huodou’s form completely vanished behind him, and he could no longer feel the loathso presence like that of a watchdog, Su Xi kicked open the door.

As he crossed the threshold, his movent abruptly stiffened, his gaze instantly darkening with a lethal undercurrent.

Inside, the curtains swayed and billowed, the youth lying on the bed surrounded by piles of garnts, clutching a complete set of n’s clothes, gazed in astonishnt at the unexpected guest in the doorway.

In a split second, he uttered a phrase.

“Have you entered the wrong room, perhaps?”

The murderous aura in the room abruptly solidified, casting the atmosphere into an awkward quiescence.

Su Xi’s eyes drifted to one side, observing the disordered garnts in the cabinet; most of them won’s dresses, clearly indicating this was not his intended chamber.

Although reluctant to admit it, the truth was that he had entered the wrong room.

Since childhood, Su Xi suffered from one unchangeable flaw: poor sense of direction; often getting lost in the Nanze Mountain, countless tis she would retrieve him from the lairs of wolves and serpents.

He was Wuhe, and Ning Feiyan was Si He, and the chambers they were temporarily provided for rest during the banquet were arranged in order of their titles.

Thus, his room was only separated by a single wall from Ning Feiyan’s room.

However, Su Xi did not wish to admit before others the fact of his directional incompetence.

He glanced dismissively, casting an eye over the pile of won’s clothing left carelessly by Baili An: “Are you a pervert?”

To steal Ning Feiyan’s apparel, that would make one no ordinary pervert.

Even for Su Xi, he couldn’t help but hold a degree of admiration for the young man.

Baili An tensed slightly, the corner of his mouth twitching, as he earnestly explained: “You’ve misunderstood, I’m not a pervert.”

Su Xi narrowed his eyes, looking at the set of clothing he held — certainly not won’s dresses, but rather a man’s attire.

Realizing the situation at hand, he swiftly kicked the door shut with a backward step, entered the hall with Ye Lian in his arms.

He stared at Baili An with a sneer, “The clothing you wear belong to the City Lord of Xianling City, designated for succession ceremonies, so it seems you would be the newly appointed Lord of Xianling City by the Kunlun God.”

Su Xi’s eyes carried a hint of scorn: “Ning Feiyan indeed has the habit of keeping n’s attire; with her multiple identities in the Mortal World, she often presents herself as a man. Stealing her clothing and ditching your eye-catching garb can certainly save you from unnecessary trouble.”

Baili An felt the barrage of words unnecessary, quickly interrupting his rambling: “Let’s not talk about that, I won’t tell anyone about your poor sense of direction just now.”

Caught off-guard by the sudden exposure, Su Xi felt a rare mont of embarrassnt, glaring fiercely at Baili An: “Are you seeking death?”

Baili An, seeing that he had co this far, clearly understood that the challenges amongst the River Lords at the Monarch’s Return Banquet were likely at their most critical phase.

He quickly shed the ceremonial sacrificial robe of the Xianling City lordship, removed his coronet, and switched into the n’s outerwear and White Jade Hairpin that Ning Feiyan had prepared.

While changing, he glanced discreetly at the woman Su Xi held, nonchalantly remarking:

“Aren’t you walking into death as well? The Taixuan Nine Classics are sure to bring certain death in the Demon World; yet today you showed rcy, deceiving the Demon Lord with a feigned death.

Should this deceit be exposed, not only she but even you, may struggle to escape with your life.”

Su Xi silently pursed his lips, his eyes stormy and chaotic as danger lood.

He narrowed his eyes and stepped forward, reducing the distance between them, his voice cold: “How do you know she’s still alive?”

Baili An, indifferent to the murderous intent emanating from him, glanced casually and helpfully hinted: “When you spoke earlier, she woke up.”

In front of Ye Lian, Su Xi’s sword, ever exacting, always seed to miss by a hair’s breadth.

This ti was no exception.

Su Xi’s steps halted, his neck stiffly lowering to et Ye Lian’s serene and tranquil eyes.

He inhaled sharply, his voice hard: “If you’re awake, then why feign death?”

Ye Lian’s lips were still pale, her black eyes reflecting the dense demonic Qi shrouding him; after staring for a long while, she slowly spoke: “Earlier, when you two discussed the topic of poor sense of direction, had I spoken up, wouldn’t that have been quite awkward for you?”

A vein throbbed on Su Xi’s forehead, he ground his teeth: “I — am — not — directionally — challenged —”

Ye Lian: “Put down.”

Su Xi’s voice was uncharacteristically detached: “Do you think I enjoy holding you?”

Despite his words, his footsteps softened, and although a chair was nearby, he instead carried her all the way to the bed, taking great care as he placed her down.

Baili An gave them an odd look.

The Demon World said Wuhe Su Xi was a rabid dog that would bite wildly without a leash, yet now he seed more like an at lost and miserable abandoned pup.

Having adjusted his clothes, Baili An was about to leave the pair to themselves, when Ye Lian unexpectedly addressed him: “Could it be that the gentleman’s na is Si Chen?”

Baili An looked at her with a surprised gaze: “Does Miss Ye Lian know ?”

Ye Lian gave him an apologetic smile, saying, “Half a year ago, regarding the alcohol incident in the mountain city of the Lihe Sect, I must apologize on behalf of our Young Master to the gentleman.”
