The White-faced Ape seed to disdain those lower-grade foods.

It allowed the pack of Demon Wolves to cleanly devour the humans in the bushes.

The Human-faced Ape licked its thick lips, its gaze cruelly and coldly watching those capable little ones who had just fled from its sight when the wind had struck the forest fiercely.

With its stomach growling loudly, it seed to have a great appetite. It leaped down from the hill, and the small mountain it carried on its back fell to the earth like a teor, the heavy Astral Wind causing the solid ground to sink three inches.

But when the Human-faced Ape’s feet touched the ground, its entire body floated above the ground as light as a feather.

Following a sweep of the wind, its figure turned into a huge bolt of lightning and disappeared below the hill.

Two n fled together, running wildly through the mountain forest.

They dared not use Sword Control, because in this world, the sky was not just the cultivators’ domain.

If they left the natural shelters on the ground and exposed themselves under the sky, certain terrifying Demon Beasts lurking in the clouds would tornt them to death like playing with mice.

After the tumult of a stormy hunt subsided, the entire valley fell into a strange quietness and stillness, the pursuit and hunting behind them seeming to quiet down in this silence.

But the two n did not think so, for they knew well that a silent death was truly terrifying.

Behind them, the dense mountain forest and towering ancient trees greatly slowed the Human-faced Ape burdened with a heavy mountain; if it were to co close, the terrifying sound of collapsing trees would surely follow.

But there was none.

What was more terrifying, they could occasionally see through shaking glances a huge shadow in the depths of the woods, chasing them like a tidal wave, drawing ever closer.

With that look back, one of the human cultivators instantly panicked and, unaware, stepped right into a Yin Silk Hand trap set by the Ghost Spider.

The Demon World’s valley was fraught with danger; sotis the real dangers ca not just from the pursuers behind or the vigilant Tusks.

There were also the cruel traps left by the Demon Beasts in the woods, accumulated over days and months, used to hunt for food or even their own kind.

During every night’s escape, if one was not careful about where they stepped, they might not even need the monsters to tear them apart, as they could simply sink down into the depths of the jungle.

The intense pain coming from his foot was not fatal, yet it sent the young cultivator’s heart plunging into despair.

The Yin Silk Hand, made of the Ghost Spider’s silk woven into a net, lay beneath the forest leaves and above the ground.

Strangely, this silk contained a strong poison, and its color could camouflage and blend into the surroundings depending on the environnt and the sky.

Once tangled, it would cut into the flesh and was extrely difficult to remove.

The silk was lifeless, but contained endless force, tearing the wound like a ghost’s hand, not stopping until it ripped apart the sinews and flesh.

Unless one was extrely ticulous, it was very difficult to detect the presence of this Yin Silk Hand.

Many who died from this Yin Silk Hand every day were not only human cultivators but even so demons.

The young cultivator’s face instantly showed a look of despair, the spider silk on his ankle twisting and tightening crazily, and in an instant, the part of his leg below the ankle seed as if ripped off by a ghost’s hand and flew away.

He lost his balance and fell heavily to the ground, and nearby more Yin Silk Hands were climbing in his direction.

The cultivator desperately raised his sword, attempting to take his own life.

He had never thought that the briefly acquainted companion might turn back to save him, they were strangers who t in dire circumstances, montarily joining hands to survive; now useless, with imminent death behind him.

People are all selfish, he had no such naive thoughts.

But suddenly, the Yin Silk Hands around him were ignited by a sword fire, burned to ash, and the cultivator, who had managed to escape several yards away, had sohow turned back, grabbed his arm with one hand and with the sword in the other, cleared a path.

His face was covered in dripping sweat, clearly exhausted to the limit, his grip on the sword trembling,

Yet he said to the injured cultivator, "There is a canyon a kiloter ahead, the Human-faced Ape with a mountain on its back can’t cross the gap in that canyon, just hold on a little longer and we’ll be safe."

Tears suddenly welled up in the young injured cultivator’s eyes.

A kiloter’s distance...

For them, it was an insurmountable gap between life and death.

He alone might not survive crossing that canyon from the pursuit of the Human-faced Ape, let alone carrying him, a crippled burden hard to move.

The chances of them surviving were almost zero.

He was originally an inner disciple of the Jade Palace of the Mortal World’s Immortal Sect, nad Jiang Shaoyu, entrusted by the sect elders with an important and covert task, secretly infiltrating into the Demon World, one of the important moles ticulously nurtured by the Jade Palace.

He spared no effort over more than a decade to disguise his identity, recently finally successfully infiltrating and settling in Mo City.

Yet, he never imagined that a fellow sect mber who had infiltrated the Demon World with him, while stealing intelligence in a Demon General’s mansion, was captured under severe torture and betrayed his identity.

He was captured by the Demon General, turned into a Demon Slave, and thrown into this valley full of rampaging Demon Beasts.

The Demon Beasts in the mountains were naturally ferocious and had large appetites; tossed into this land of death just three days ago, he had witnessed countless of his kind die.

Each day felt like a year, but fortunately, the Demon Beasts in the mountain were governed by the Slave Trainer and active at night.
