The taboo vault.
It was a forbidden place in the Jujutsu World, used to centrally seal and store high-risk Cursed Objects and Cursed Tools. The things sealed inside were usually steeped in extre mystery, and if even one of them were to fall into the outside world, it could cause unimaginable disaster.
Entering the taboo vault usually required special ans.
Jujutsu High's taboo vault was opened by the principal or high-ranking sorcerers through Barrier Techniques.
As for the taboo vaults of the Three Great Families, they could only be opened with the Clan Head's authority or a specific key.
Suguru Geto's corpse was currently being stored in the Zenin Clan's taboo vault.
Its sealing rank was.
[Special Grade].
Naoya Zenin frowned tightly as he stared at the male corpse soaking in formalin.
His first instinct had been to cremate Suguru Geto's body imdiately, but even this noble young master could not single-handedly oppose the entire Jujutsu World and completely destroy a once-in-a-lifeti technique like [Cursed Spirit Manipulation].
Of course, he could also go all in, set the Zenin Clan's taboo vault on fire, and burn Suguru Geto's corpse to ashes along with it.
But the consequences would be irreversible.
While it would prevent Kenjaku from taking over this body, it would also provoke the outrage of the entire Jujutsu World. More importantly, it would make Satoru Gojo hate him completely.
There was no need to say what kind of end awaited anyone targeted by that corpse-loving guy.
In the original work, even the Jujutsu higher-ups who stood at the top would be slaughtered on the spot once they thoroughly enraged Satoru Gojo.
Soone had once described the strongest sorcerer of the modern era like this.
Satoru Gojo could beat the entire damn world by himself.
He had no idea whether that line was true or not, but from a cautious point of view, it was better to assu it was serious.
This transmigrator's current identity ca with a lot of advantages.
Special Grade 1 Sorcerer.
The next heir of the Zenin Clan.
A teacher at Kyoto Jujutsu High.
The leader of the [Hei] organization.
There was no need to throw away all those useful trump cards just for a corpse.
And even if he disregarded everything and cremated Suguru Geto's body, that would only make Kenjaku, lurking in the shadows, start taking him seriously.
[Cursed Spirit Manipulation] was indeed an important piece on Kenjaku's thousand-year chessboard, but that did not an he had no other backup pieces he could move.
Naoya Zenin analyzed the situation calmly.
Right now, his greatest advantage was his knowledge of the plot. In other words, the information gap.
Every move that thousand-year-old monster Kenjaku made was within his grasp.
By sealing Suguru Geto's corpse inside the taboo vault, he would not only gain leverage to negotiate with Satoru Gojo, but also have the chance to lay a trap and wait for the day Kenjaku ca to steal the body.
If he prepared properly...
Then killing Kenjaku outright might not be impossible.
The young noble silently picked up the key from the table and twirled it on his fingertip. It was the key that symbolized the position of Zenin Clan Head.
Naobito Zenin was never a particularly stern old man to begin with, and on top of that, he doted especially on his youngest son, so saying that the Clan Head's key was practically Naoya's own would not have been an exaggeration.
The taboo vault could only be opened with the Clan Head's key.
No matter how much Kenjaku could stir the world with a flip of his hand, he still had no way of entering this taboo vault at will.
Now that the key was in his hands, all the transmigrator had to do was set up layer upon layer of defenses in advance, and then he could catch that brain in a jar.
Of course.
Naoya Zenin was not going to underestimate Kenjaku either.
As the saying went, the beginning of defeat was the mont you beca certain of victory.
Although he could not guess what other thod Kenjaku might have to sneak into this sealed chamber like so phantom thief and steal Suguru Geto's corpse, Kenjaku was still the smartest villain in Jujutsu Kaisen, so cremating Suguru Geto's body as soon as possible was still the best solution.
The transmigrator's current plan was very simple.
He was going to use Suguru Geto's corpse as a bargaining chip to force Satoru Gojo to help him.
But the key was controlling the heat.
Satoru Gojo was not so fool who could be manipulated at will. If he got impatient and stord into the Zenin Clan by force to take Suguru Geto's corpse, that was the outco Naoya least wanted to see.
So the transmigrator ca up with what he thought was the best solution.
He would gradually take Suguru Geto's place and beco Satoru Gojo's second best friend.
The plan sounded insane, and it was full of obstacles, but it was not sothing utterly impossible.
After all, he knew exactly what Satoru Gojo liked to eat, what he liked to do, and what kinds of things he enjoyed.
He could also see the sa ideals Gojo had, understand what he pursued, and understand how he viewed the world.
The only real difficulty was that Satoru Gojo's personality and the original owner's personality simply did not match at all.
Which was perfectly normal.
Satoru Gojo was a wildly popular mber of the main cast.
Even if he was ultimately cut in half by Sukuna and turned into a ridiculous clown, if people could go back to that sumr, they would still bet on him to win.
Naoya Zenin, anwhile, was a wildly popular villain.
All anyone wanted to see was his smug ass getting beaten up in every possible way.
Satoru Gojo's swagger ca from the arrogance of youthful spirit.
Naoya Zenin's swagger ca from a lofty, condescending arrogance.
For two people this completely different to ever beco close enough to call each other brothers, even in fanfiction that would be so extre and out of character it would blow through the ceiling.
The transmigrator felt nothing but a pounding headache.
Why could he not have transmigrated into so uplifting, straightforward hot-blooded shonen world?
Why did it have to be Gege Akutami's damp, gloomy, darkly twisted gag manga world instead?
Even a magical girl world would have been fine!
You know, the kind where enemies who were at each other's throats before. Like a heroine who once opposed the righteous protagonist and got brainwashed after falling into enemy hands, or forr best friends who drifted apart, or a magical girl on the side of evil. After a long battle, they get moved by the magical girls' friendship, justice, and bonds, then finally take the protagonist group's hand, betray their old side, redeem themselves into the light, and defeat the final boss together!
Could he not get at least a little of that kind of guaranteed redemption plot?
Oh.
Was that not just Suguru Geto?
Except his corpse was already soaking in a jar and practically about to stink.
Damn it, if he tried to get a redemption arc now according to the plot of Jujutsu Kaisen, no matter how he looked at it, he would just end up being that kind of villain who suddenly rushed out during the final battle, tragic music started playing, and he died taking a hit for the protagonist just to squeeze so cheap tears out of the audience.
And more importantly, the thing sitting in front of this thoroughly frazzled villain right now was.
Lesson prep.
As a first-rate teacher at Kyoto Jujutsu High, Naoya Zenin also needed to prepare teaching material worthy of the position.
He had to co up with Jujutsu knowledge he could actually teach students.
And the sad part was that this transmigrator did not even have anything he could properly bring out himself right now.
If he had Naoya Zenin's mories, that would have been one thing. At the very least, he could talk about how Cursed Energy flowed through the body, or how to draw a Barrier formation...
But that most basic knowledge was exactly what he had wanted to co to Jujutsu High to learn in the first place!!!
Naoya Zenin really did want to just phone it in when class started and say everyone could sign in and do self-study.
But Kyoto Jujutsu High was not so trashy no-na school.
Naoya Zenin was a Special Grade 1 Sorcerer. If he really spent every day slacking off with that kind of attitude, sooner or later the school would start putting pressure on him.
On top of that, he had acted so arrogant during his speech, talking about how modern Jujutsu was invincible.
If the school realized he did not actually have any real substance, getting fired would be the best possible outco.
And if they found out that the Zenin Clan's young master had actually been possessed by so mysterious modern soul, then he would really be hauled onto an operating table to reenact what happened to that certain white-haired young lady director from Chaldea.
"Looks like I've got no choice but to cram at the last minute..."
So the young master had no choice but to stay in the taboo vault and start rummaging through the relevant ancient Jujutsu texts.
The night was long.
A perfect night for staying up and reading.
