In this world, there exist Jujutsu Sorcerers who can manipulate Cursed Energy and turn powers beyond human ans into reality.

In every era, people have always asked the sa question. Who is the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer in the world?

And in the Heian era, when Cursed Energy was at its peak, there was once a being whom even all sorcerers united, fighting with everything they had, could not stand against.

That was the strongest King of Curses in history from a thousand years ago.

[Ryon Sukuna]!

Cruel, savage, rciless, overwhelmingly evil. He knew no law but strength.

Like a walking natural disaster.

The jujutsu world could no longer accept that such a monster was the sa kind of human as they were, so in the end they could only give him the title of a god-demon, kneel before him, and raise him up in worship.

The King of Curses. [Ryon Sukuna].

Everyone stood in awe of him and submitted to this powerful being from the bottom of their hearts.

But no matter how powerful soone was, in the end, they still could not escape the erosion of fate.

After ruling the world for decades, [Ryon Sukuna] eventually died of old age.

And with his death, the Heian era officially ca to an end, while the world's Cursed Energy began an uncontrollable decline.

So said that [Ryon Sukuna]'s departure took away the last trace of heroic spirit from the jujutsu world, leaving the sorcerers a thousand years later as nothing but cowardly rats. Repeated wars caused multiple breaks in jujutsu inheritance, snuffing out the fla of tradition again and again, until things fell so far that even Cursed Spirits could threaten the world.

But that utterly hopeless state lasted only until the birth of that man.

"Well, even if [Ryon Sukuna] really were revived in the modern era, Gojo would deal with him."

After seriously listening to Naoya Zenin's explanation, Yuki Tsukumo rely waved a hand and said that.

Satoru Gojo.

The pinnacle of the jujutsu world.

From the mont he let out his first cry at birth, every Jujutsu Sorcerer had already been forced to admit defeat.

Even among Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerers, beings capable of overturning an entire nation through their own power alone, he stood above them all.

If [Ryon Sukuna] was a Curse User who could stand alongside Ashiya Doman, then Satoru Gojo was a Jujutsu Sorcerer who could surpass Abe no Seii.

Yes.

No one believed Satoru Gojo would lose.

Not even if his opponent was the King of Curses, [Ryon Sukuna].

This was a truth acknowledged throughout the entire jujutsu world, a fact that even the eternally opposed conservatives and reformists would shake hands over and admit.

The conservatives believed that as the head of one of the Three Great Families, Satoru Gojo possessed both the ancient technique [Limitless Technique] and [Six Eyes], a combination so rare it appeared only once in centuries. [Ryon Sukuna] had just gotten lucky and stolen a win. The whole thing was ridiculous. Strongest from a thousand years ago? Abe no Seii died in 1005, and you were just farming weaklings with a top-tier Heian-era ta at the tail end of that version, then acting all high and mighty about it.

The reformists, anwhile, believed that Satoru Gojo, as the strongest Jujutsu Sorcerer of the modern era and the leading figure of the reformist faction, was the real answer. Wasn't the jujutsu world always obsessed with glorifying the past and pretending the old days were mystical and untouchable? What King of Curses, [Ryon Sukuna]? Four arms, four eyes, and two mouths? It sounded as absurd as saying KFC fried chicken ca with four wings. Rumors had gotten completely out of hand. A myth was a myth. Don't try to use it to compare against our brother Gojo.

"..."

Listening to Yuki Tsukumo's shocked, overdramatic tone, Naoya Zenin was genuinely speechless.

No wonder Gojo died so suddenly. Everyone else was popping champagne even harder than he was.

With everyone clinging to that kind of arrogance, it was no wonder the entire jujutsu world got smashed apart by Sukuna in the late stages of the original story.

Surely I'm not the only one trying to stay prepared in tis of peace, racking my brain like crazy for a way to survive what's coming?

"Co on, I don't know where you heard a rumor like that, but don't put so much pressure on yourself."

Yuki Tsukumo patted Naoya Zenin on the shoulder, comforting him in the tone of soone speaking from experience.

"If the sky falls, Gojo will hold it up. Why are you worrying about all this? He'll solve everything himself."

"Is that fair?"

Hearing such irresponsible words from Yuki Tsukumo, Naoya Zenin replied coldly.

"You dump every troubleso thing onto Gojo-kun. Yuki Tsukumo, as his senpai, don't you feel even a shred of sha?"

"...Sha?"

The blonde beauty scratched her head, looking troubled.

"But I've got my own things to do too."

"For example?"

"For example, drinking and picking up hot guys?"

"The fact that a Jujutsu Sorcerer like you even exists makes feel ashad from the bottom of my heart."

Even soone as shaless as Yuki Tsukumo could not help breaking under Naoya Zenin's relentless, no-filter insults.

"Listen, brat, how many years have you even been a Jujutsu Sorcerer? Is this really how you talk to your senpai?"

"I only believe in one thing. Do everything humanly possible, then leave the rest to fate."

Facing Yuki Tsukumo's anger, Naoya Zenin did not back down in the slightest. If anything, he pressed even harder.

"Yuki Tsukumo, put your hand on your conscience. Do you dare pat your chest and say you've ever once truly done right by the jujutsu world?"

"How have I ever not done right by the jujutsu world?!"

Their argunt only grew louder and louder, to the point that even the people nearby who had been chatting and laughing turned their heads in surprise and instinctively began to gather around them.

"Done right by it?"

Naoya Zenin let out a scornful laugh. In his eyes, there was not the slightest respect for a senpai, only contempt from the bottom of his heart.

"You travel on public money, drink and fool around, watch the Three Great Families rot and ossify, watch the jujutsu world sink deeper and deeper into decay, and watch everyone dream their thousand-year dream under Gojo-kun's protection. And that's what you call having done right by it?"

The laziness on Yuki Tsukumo's face finally faded. Beneath her blonde hair, her eyes darkened, and she was no longer wearing that flippant, carefree look.

Grinding her teeth, she said, "Brat, do you think this world can be held up by passion alone? Satoru Gojo chose to stand at the top. That was his own choice, not chains for the rest of us. Just because I'm a Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer, does that an I have to be morally blackmailed by the likes of you?!"

"Fine."

Today, Naoya Zenin was going to rip away the fig leaf Yuki Tsukumo had hidden behind all this ti, right here in public.

"Is that why, even though you're a Star Plasma Vessel, you refused to rge with Tengen?"

"Huh?!"

Yuki Tsukumo's face changed instantly.

How could Naoya Zenin possibly know a secret like that?!

"You were afraid of dying yourself, so you stood there and watched a middle school girl in the pri of her youth bear the burden of the Star Plasma Vessel in your place. When you saw Riko Amanai die, did you shed even a single tear?"

Satoru Gojo had only been watching from the sidelines.

But when Naoya Zenin brought up that long-buried mory, his fists still clenched uncontrollably.

Riko Amanai.

The little girl who smiled and said she wanted to see the sea, that she wanted to protect the world together with Tengen-sama.

The child who died in his arms, without even getting to fulfill her final wish.

When Riko Amanai died at Toji Fushiguro's hands, he had not felt anger or grief, nor had he hated Toji.

He had only blad himself for being too weak, for failing to protect Riko Amanai.

But afterward, when Satoru Gojo learned that the Star Plasma Vessel who should have rged with Tengen had been Yuki Tsukumo, he began to feel an indescribable rage.

As a senpai, she had turned a blind eye the whole ti and selfishly pushed her own fate onto soone else.

That was sothing Satoru Gojo simply could not tolerate.

That was why Satoru Gojo and Yuki Tsukumo looked down on each other from the bottom of their hearts.

"Because I'm far more useful than she was."

Yuki Tsukumo quickly recovered from her lapse and replied in an utterly calm voice.

"I'm the jujutsu world's first Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer, while Riko Amanai was nothing more than an ordinary schoolgirl. If Satoru Gojo and so ordinary person were placed on a scale, would you sacrifice Satoru Gojo to save that ordinary person? Equivalent exchange. That's the most basic underlying rule of the jujutsu world."

"Heh. It's exactly this kind of cold-blooded, twisted thinking that turned the jujutsu world into the inhuman ss it is now!"

Naoya Zenin's words rang out sharp and clear.

"You say you were more useful than Riko Amanai, so what exactly have you done?! Don't act like I don't know what you're thinking, Yuki Tsukumo. You were raised by Jujutsu High, but from beginning to end you've hated the way Jujutsu High does things. When faced with the rampant spread of Cursed Spirits, you never once thought about exorcising them. All you ever thought about was creating a world without Cursed Spirits."

"And am I wrong?! Compared to the way you people treat the symptoms but never the root cause, isn't my way of thinking the one with the longer view?!"

"So you bury yourself in so false sense of righteousness and numb yourself with idleness. Your so-called usefulness is standing by and watching, comfortably enjoying Gojo-kun's protection, and treating the sacrifice of the weak as if it were only natural?!"

Naoya Zenin's voice was not loud, but every word struck straight at the heart, cutting through Yuki Tsukumo's facade.

Yuki Tsukumo's lips trembled.

She wanted to argue back.

And yet, even with all her strength, she could not force a single word out of her throat.

"I've said all I have to say."

Naoya Zenin turned and walked away.

"If you still want to go on living the sa muddled life you always have, then that has nothing to do with ."

The surroundings fell deathly silent.

No one spoke.

All eyes landed on Yuki Tsukumo, whose face had gone pale as she stood frozen in place.

This mysterious, untouchable Special Grade Jujutsu Sorcerer had been exposed, split open, stripped bare word by word, with the selfishness and cowardly evasion she least wanted to admit laid out in front of everyone.

"Naoya-sensei! I wasn't sure what you wanted to eat, but I brought you sothing anyway on the way back..."

Kasumi Miwa ca hurrying back with a plate in hand and an eager look on her face, only to find the atmosphere around her unbelievably awkward.

"Uh..."

The blue-haired girl could only clutch the plate again, cold sweat running down her face as she began quietly backing away one step at a ti.

"Sensei... hello... moshi moshi... where are you...?"
