"...Unbelievable."
Yuki Tsukumo sank into deep thought.
You could hardly bla her.
Anyone who heard what Naoya Zenin had just said would be left in inescapable shock.
First, there was the scale.
The scale of the [Culling Ga] was far too vast. If things were really as Naoya Zenin described, then it would beco a killing ga sweeping across the entire country. Jujutsu would no longer be able to preserve the mystery it had maintained for so long, and everyone in this nation would learn that the Jujutsu World exists.
Next ca the fear.
If Kenjaku truly succeeded, and used [Cursed Spirit Manipulation] to absorb Tengen as a Cursed Spirit, then all of the major Barriers Tengen had established in the past would beco arenas where only the strong survived. In other words, all of Japan would fall completely into paralysis, Cursed Spirits would run rampant, and humanity would no longer have a single safe haven left.
And finally, there was the complexity.
The rules of the [Culling Ga] were simply too much of a headache. Even after Naoya Zenin patiently explained them, Yuki Tsukumo still could not make heads or tails of what players were, what points were, or what an administrator was supposed to be.
After all, a brand-new concept like a battle royale was not exactly sothing an outdated old woman like Yuki Tsukumo could easily wrap her head around.
At the sa ti, though, that itself was proof that Naoya Zenin was not lying.
Because everything he said was so orderly and well thought out. Even if he had made it all up on the spot, it would still have been a path the Jujutsu World had never imagined before.
A path to seize control of the Barrier Tengen had spread across the entire nation.
"If it's really as you say, then after Kenjaku went to all the trouble of gathering such an enormous amount of Cursed Energy, has it never thought about taking it for itself? Instead, it wants to create an unprecedented Cursed Spirit?"
Yuki Tsukumo found it hard to believe.
Because if the [Culling Ga] really succeeded, then Kenjaku alone could possess the Cursed Energy refined from an entire country.
That was the Cursed Energy of at least one hundred million people.
Even in the Heian era, when Cursed Energy was at its height, no one had ever possessed such terrifying power.
After all, Tiga was able to turn the tables and kill an evil god just by absorbing the light of children.
With the Cursed Energy born from sacrificing one hundred million people, bringing the dead back to life, twisting causality, reversing ti...
As long as it was so greedy desire humanity could imagine, this power could make it happen.
With that much Cursed Energy, Kenjaku could beco the strongest sorcerer in history, one without precedent and without equal to co after.
And yet Naoya Zenin was saying that all it wanted was to create a giant Cursed Spirit?
"It's not sothing as simple as a Cursed Spirit."
Naoya Zenin shook his head.
"When a Cursed Spirit gathers all the negative emotions of an entire nation, then in other words, that Cursed Spirit has already beco the equivalent of the nation's will. It is the collective of all desire, the embodint of everyone's wishes."
"Although the Jujutsu World always uses Cursed Spirit to define that kind of existence, in ancient tis, people preferred another word for sothing so vague and indescribable."
The young man spoke softly.
"[God]."
"...You an Kenjaku wants to create a god?!"
Yuki Tsukumo finally lost it.
She shot to her feet in alarm.
"In the modern era? In the twenty-first century? It wants to create a living god? What kind of joke is that? It has to be insane! No one could ever do sothing like that! Not a single sorcerer in history has ever managed it!!!"
"Kenjaku is obviously insane. Otherwise, why would it still be alive after all this ti?"
Naoya Zenin's voice remained as calm as ever.
"A thousand long years is enough to drive any human mad. Even Tengen has to rely on assimilating Star Plasma Vessels just to keep existing, but Kenjaku only has to keep possessing other people's bodies. Its soul must have gone mad at so point long ago without anyone noticing. It's a lunatic, a complete and utter lunatic, a lunatic who keeps on living only to chase stimulation."
If you wanted a simple way to describe Mara Kenjaku, then it was a player on multiple runs.
It kept taking over bodies, using brand-new identities to start brand-new gas and explore storylines it had never seen before.
But Kenjaku had already played this ga to the point of exhaustion.
In one life, it could quickly conquer a nation and beco emperor.
In another, it could retreat into the mountains, farm the land, and laugh its days away in peace.
It had already experienced everything the world had to offer.
After all, Kenjaku had even used Kaori Itadori's body to give birth to Yuji Itadori, just to experience what it felt like to beco a mother for the first ti.
Wouldn't a thousand-year-old monster like that have gone mad long ago?
And what drove it even crazier was that the [Culling Ga] it had been plotting for a thousand years had been intercepted by Naoya Zenin ahead of ti.
The most important piece of all, Suguru Geto's corpse, was firmly in this transmigrator's hands.
Without [Cursed Spirit Manipulation], the [Culling Ga] could not begin. Kenjaku had waited a thousand years for the finest dessert on the plate. How could it possibly sit back and do nothing while Naoya Zenin prepared to carve into it with knife and fork?
So Kenjaku would inevitably throw everything it had into taking Suguru Geto's corpse back.
And that was the thing Naoya Zenin cared about most.
The two biggest factors behind this villain's death were Maki Zenin and Kenjaku.
Maki Zenin's awakening of [Heavenly Restriction] and her slaughter of the Zenin Clan were the direct cause of his death.
But the reason Maki Zenin awakened [Heavenly Restriction] in the first place was that Satoru Gojo had been sealed by Kenjaku with [Prison Realm], triggering a massive upheaval in the Jujutsu World. That was the root cause of his death.
So whenever it ca to those two, this transmigrator would never give an inch.
Whether it was enrolling in Tokyo Jujutsu High to nd his relationship with Mai Zenin, or searching for Yuji Itadori ahead of ti so Ryon Sukuna would lose any chance of resurrection, everything he had done ca back to this one reason.
He had to stop Maki Zenin from awakening [Heavenly Restriction].
And that ant he had to make sure every single one of Kenjaku's plans failed.
"If everything you're saying is true... then whether it was the Star Religious Group bribing Toji to assassinate the Star Plasma Vessel ten years ago, or Suguru Geto launching the Night Parade of a Hundred Demons at the cost of his life, all of it was just Kenjaku pulling strings from the shadows..."
Yuki Tsukumo's expression kept shifting.
"The entire Jujutsu World... and not a single person realized Kenjaku was plotting sothing this horrifying. Everyone just assud the world was at peace..."
"Very few people even know Kenjaku exists, let alone have this much information."
"Naoya Zenin. Then how do you know all this?!"
Yuki Tsukumo suddenly realized sothing, and her eyes turned cold at once.
"I've suspected for a long ti that there was a mole among the higher-ups of the Jujutsu World. At first I thought those old n were just obsessed with power, but now it looks like they were bought by Kenjaku long ago!"
Cursed Energy began to surge from the Special Grade Sorcerer.
"Naoya Zenin, what gives you the right to know so many secrets? Am I supposed to believe you're one of Kenjaku's accomplices too?!"
Naoya Zenin's face remained calm as ever.
But inside, he was already in complete chaos.
The worst possible thing had happened.
Yuki Tsukumo was not so obedient fool of a woman.
At this point, after hearing that much, the only conclusion she would draw was that he and Kenjaku were in league with each other, that he was so despicable bastard trying to trick her, with so other unspeakable plot hidden behind it all.
Because aside from Kenjaku itself, there simply was no second person in the world who could know that thousand-year-old monster so well.
Not even Tengen, who claid to know everything, could do sothing like that.
Naoya Zenin, a pampered young master who normally stayed in the Zenin Clan household, living in luxury. What possible reason could he have for knowing so much?
Wasn't there only one answer?
That Naoya Zenin was the mole inside the Jujutsu World.
A pawn planted by Kenjaku.
At this point, it looked like there was only one move left.
"Hmph, Yuki Tsukumo. Looks like I still underestimated you."
Naoya Zenin suddenly let out a cold laugh and started clapping.
"So you admit it?"
"No, I'm only admitting that I underestimated you."
The young nobleman's expression turned grave.
"You're right. There's no way I could know this much on my own. Given my position, I should never have had the ability to trace the clues and deduce so many secrets."
"Just as I thought! You're Kenjaku's mole!"
"No! The one who uncovered all these secrets was soone else entirely!"
Naoya Zenin looked at Yuki Tsukumo and, with utmost solemnity, declared the na of that mysterious person.
"All of this was personally told to by my uncle, Ogi Zenin!!!"
