Expulsion.

For any school, that was a very serious punishnt.

Especially in the jujutsu world, where students were already in short supply. Unless soone did sothing truly outrageous, most incidents would usually be smoothed over.

The school rules repeatedly stated that students were forbidden from using Cursed Techniques to fight each other in private, but plenty of students still used sparring as an excuse to throw down. As long as nobody died, the teachers usually turned a blind eye.

But that easygoing environnt beca a thing of the past after one particular incident.

The forced expulsion of Kinji Hakari from Tokyo Jujutsu High. Satoru Gojo's forr student.

Kinji Hakari was not just Satoru Gojo's student.

Even before Yuta Okkotsu, he had already been the disciple Satoru Gojo valued most.

Back in Kyoto, Satoru Gojo would often lavish praise on those two students right in front of the old fossils of the jujutsu world.

More than once, he had declared that Kinji Hakari and Yuta Okkotsu would one day beco sorcerers who could stand shoulder to shoulder with him.

Even Yuta Okkotsu himself, a newly appointed Special Grade Sorcerer, had publicly said more than once that when Kinji Hakari was in top form, he was stronger than Yuta.

So how had a heaven-sent prodigy who should have shone brilliantly ended up expelled?

The reason lay entirely in the escalating conflict between the conservatives and the reformists.

Kinji Hakari was not only a genius among sorcerers, he had also fully inherited Satoru Gojo's way of thinking.

Unlike the humble Yuta Okkotsu, Kinji Hakari was arrogant to the extre. Other than Satoru Gojo, there was basically no one in the jujutsu world who could order him around. This gambler loathed the stagnant, ossified jujutsu world and fully supported modern Cursed Techniques. He was an extrely radical reformist.

It could be said that before Naoya Zenin gave his speech, the craziest person among the reformists was undoubtedly Kinji Hakari.

Not only was he exceptionally strong in his own right, he also had the strongest sorcerer of the modern age, Satoru Gojo, backing him. Given a little more ti, Kinji Hakari would undoubtedly have beco a powerful figure capable of freely shaping the future of the jujutsu world.

Faced with a rising star like that, soone with no family background, an Innate Technique that belonged to the realm of highly complex modern Cursed Techniques, and a genius personally unearthed by Satoru Gojo, the conservatives of the jujutsu world were naturally terrified.

People with nothing to lose fear nothing. If Kinji Hakari had been allowed to keep growing, the reformists really might have built a new empire.

So the crafty higher-ups of the jujutsu world laid a trap.

A dead end designed to bury a genius for good.

Kinji Hakari caused trouble.

Young and hot-blooded, he could not stand snide remarks. Ignoring everyone's attempts to stop him, he openly beat up a student aligned with the conservatives.

Originally, it was a trivial matter.

But the higher-ups seized on it and kept blowing it out of proportion under the banner of cleaning up the school's atmosphere, until in the end they handed Kinji Hakari a suspension.

How could Kinji Hakari possibly accept such a blatantly biased punishnt?

And so those sly old foxes got exactly what they wanted.

The proud and arrogant Kinji Hakari not only left Tokyo Jujutsu High, he also went out of his way to establish an underground fight club and brazenly held illegal sorcerer brawls there.

If Satoru Gojo had not been protecting him from the shadows, that gambler who had no idea how ugly society could be would have long since been labeled a Curse User by Jujutsu Headquarters and beco the target of a full-scale manhunt by the jujutsu world.

Everyone present could hear what Satoru Gojo was implying.

He was going to avenge Kinji Hakari.

"Gojo! Isn't that punishnt going too far?"

Utahi Iori had just tried to speak up for the student, only to be coldly cut off by Satoru Gojo.

"No. There's no room for discussion here. Since that old man Gakuganji still hasn't shown up, then I'll make the call. By the old rules, chamaru, as the one who struck first, should be expelled."

Utahi Iori was on the verge of panicking.

Of course Principal Gakuganji was not coming.

That old fox was far too shrewd. Now that Satoru Gojo had shown up, there was no way he would walk into trouble on purpose.

Back then, they had managed to reach all the way into Tokyo and forcibly expel Satoru Gojo's student.

So with Satoru Gojo's personality, it had only ever been a matter of ti before he ca to Kyoto to expel one of Kyoto's students in return.

"Zenin-sensei, y-you should say sothing too..."

The shrine maiden could only turn to Naoya Zenin, who had remained silent the whole ti, with a pleading look.

The other teachers also exchanged glances.

They all thought that expelling chamaru was acceptable. After all, the kid had no background. At worst, the conservatives would just lose a useful pawn.

Compared to that, protecting Momo Nishimiya was the crucial move. Her father was with the U.S. Forces Japan, which made her much more important to the conservatives.

"Naoya Zenin, he is your student, so let ask you this. You do not object, do you?"

Gojo aid the question directly at Naoya Zenin.

At that mont, chamaru's heart beat with nothing but despair.

Naoya Zenin's gaze passed through the cursed energy screen and landed on him like that of a ruler holding the power of life and death, looking down from above.

That bastard was definitely going to agree with Satoru Gojo's solution.

Back in class, the things he had said to him were already proof enough. Naoya Zenin clearly knew that he was the mole hidden inside Jujutsu High.

And on top of that, his real identity was the sorcerer Kenjaku, who had lived for over a thousand years. He had already set his sights on Miwa's body and intended to make her the vessel for Ryon Sukuna's resurrection.

Naoya Zenin had definitely seen through his true objective and had just been waiting for the right chance to expel him.

There was no way he would let this opportunity slip by.

Because Naoya Zenin was the true enemy who had never looked down on his comrades. The real mole hidden inside the school.

"Satoru, I have no objections to your proposal."

Naoya Zenin's uniquely cold and elegant voice caused the last trace of light in chamaru's chanical eyes to go out completely.

Just as expected.

Everything had unfolded exactly the way he had predicted.

How could Naoya Zenin possibly let him go?

His close relationship with Miwa made him the one most likely to get in the way of Naoya Zenin's plans. How could Naoya Zenin possibly spare him?

And the anticipation in Utahi Iori's eyes finally gave way to disappointnt.

Seriously?

Last ti you were willing to go head-to-head with Satoru Gojo, so why are you folding so easily this ti?!

Or is it because chamaru's a boy, so you're just pretending not to see it?! Naoya Zenin, you perverted siscon!!!

"chamaru."

In that suffocating atmosphere, Naoya Zenin spoke again.

"And Momo Nishimiya. Expel them both."
