[Gojo’s roar still hung in the air, his fury erupting like a volcano with nowhere to go. You didn’t flinch at the fist twisted into your collar. Didn’t so much as blink. The calm behind your eyes remained absolute, untouched, immovable.]

[You stood there and let him burn. Let him grip your collar, let the ragged sound of his breathing fill the space between you.]

[Only when the manic blaze in those pale blue Six Eyes began to flicker, starved of any resistance to feed on, did you raise your hand. The cool back of your fingers tapped lightly against his whitened knuckles.]

["Let go, Satoru. What are you, throwing a tantrum?"]

["I wasn’t hiding my strength. I wasn’t handing you so charity victory out of the goodness of my heart. The decision to surrender was a calculated stop-loss based on battlefield conditions, the intelligence asymtry between us, and projected damage ratios. Under those paraters, continuing the fight was pointless."]

[Gojo’s expression darkened further at the words stop-loss.]

["First, understand the premise. This was a sparring match. No killing allowed. In a real fight to the death, during that fraction of a second you spent teleporting to my face so you could run your mouth and gloat, Asakirimaru wouldn’t have stopped at slicing fabric over your hip."]

[Your gaze sharpened. Sothing with an edge to it materialized in the air between you.]

["I won’t claim a hundred percent certainty I could have killed you outright while your domain was active. But crippling you badly enough to end your combat effectiveness? That I could guarantee. And from that point forward, how does the fight play out? How many seconds does your domain hold? Does your Reverse Cursed Technique heal a lethal wound before my next slash lands?"]

[You watched his pupils contract and ripped the comfort blanket of assud control right out of his hands.]

["But because this was a sparring match, I put a limiter on my own draw stroke: no fatal wounds. Once you reopened the distance and started preparing to brute-force my Simple Domain barrier with a maximum-output Blue, I was left with exactly one option, and it was a terrible one. Tank the domain’s relentless guaranteed hit, endure your nonstop bombardnt, and try to channel enough Cursed Energy to blow your barrier apart from the inside."]

[A rare flicker of sothing crossed your voice. Not quite frustration. More like the bone-dry acknowledgnt of a wall you couldn’t climb.]

["Which turns the whole thing into a pure war of attrition, Cursed Energy reserves against recovery speed. Against a monster with the Six Eyes, soone whose energy expenditure approaches zero, soone who can fire off wide-area annihilation techniques inside his own domain without a second thought... what exactly is the point of grinding myself down to maintain a Simple Domain? Besides stroking that sky-high, terminally boring ego of yours, what does it accomplish?"]

[You watched the anger drain from his face, replaced by bewildernt, then the specific silence of soone who’d opened their mouth to argue and found nothing there. You shrugged, utterly at ease, and delivered the summary.]

["So I surrendered. Under a no-kill rule, against an opponent who’s achieved Domain Expansion, I lose. Checkmate, no way out. Your Unlimited Void is flawless. The precision, the pressure, both impeccable. You’ve proven the weight behind the title of ’the strongest.’ The logic closes perfectly. No gaps. What part of that can’t you accept?"]

[Every word had been the unvarnished truth. Silently, you ran the replay in your head. If Gojo hadn’t made the mistake of closing the distance, if he’d stayed airborne behind Limitless and hamred you with ranged fire from above, you’d have had nothing. Not without revealing cards you couldn’t afford to show.]

[Even with the Simple Domain to blunt Unlimited Void’s data stream, pushing through that pressure to close the gap yourself would have been a near-impossible task, let alone landing anything resembling a killing blow.]

[There was no getting around it. Satoru Gojo was fundantally unlike every other Jujutsu Sorcerer alive. That wall of Limitless wrapped around him like an absolute fortress.]

[To breach his defense, you had to sacrifice the flexibility of Phantom Night Parade, your core technique, locking it into a single function: running a replicated Limitless so you could deploy Cursed Technique Reversal: Nagihiru Kinkou to neutralize and seal his barrier. Only then did you have the basic prerequisite for a aningful attack.]

[Against anyone else, even Suguru Geto, even a Special Grade like Yuki Tsukumo, Phantom Night Parade would never be straitjacketed into such a rigid, one-dinsional counter-configuration.]

[Against them, you could cycle freely through copied techniques, chain devastating combinations, drag the fight into the rhythm where you were deadliest.]

[You needed room to maneuver. Room to adapt.]

[Pinned into a single pattern by Gojo’s unreasonable defensive architecture, you couldn’t bring your full composite combat power to bear. Not even close.]

[Wind passed quietly between you. Gojo fell into a long silence, head slightly bowed, his eyes flickering rapidly beneath that curtain of silver hair.]

[He was replaying the exchange at machine speed, testing every tactical claim you’d made against his own analysis, searching for a single crack in your logic.]

[After a mont, despair settled in. Every simulation returned the sa verdict, precise and rciless, exactly as you’d described. You hadn’t outfought him inside his domain. He’d handed you the only opening that could have flipped the board, gift-wrapped it in arrogance, and walked it straight onto your blade.]

[Reason accepted the result. His pride refused to swallow it.]

[He knew you hadn’t been feeding him polite lies to save his dignity. But what he craved was the kind of victory that crushed every calculation, every contingency, fist against fist until nothing remained but undeniable supremacy. Not this compromise. Not a win built on his own mistake.]

["So, Satoru. What if... everything from the mont I put down my sword and surrendered, all the way through that long-winded lecture on tactics, none of it was what I actually ant?"]

[You watched the faint jolt of confusion cross his features and let the corner of your mouth curve, barely there.]

["What if the whole performance was psychological warfare? A con designed to talk you into dropping your Domain Expansion voluntarily, so that invincible body of yours would plunge straight into the fatal Cursed Technique Burnout window that follows a domain’s collapse?"]

[Those pale blue eyes blew wide open.]

[Shock, disbelief, and a sliver of fear braided together behind his irises. His head snapped up, gaze locking onto you.]

[Because it hit him all at once. His domain was already down. His Cursed Technique was in burnout. The Limitless barrier that let him ignore everything in existence didn’t exist right now.]

[You flicked a cylinder of ash from the cigarette, drew another slow breath. The eyes behind your lenses caught the light at an angle that made them look bottomless. Your voice dropped to sothing silk-soft, the tone of a sentence being passed.]

["Look at you. Can’t even maintain basic Limitless. From where I’m standing... you’re the easiest prey I’ll ever get, aren’t you?"]

[One heartbeat passed.]

[Then you saw his face, wide-eyed, braced for war, and the mask of cold nace dissolved.]

[A laugh escaped around the cigarette. You waved your hand, slipping back into the easy register of an old friend breaking the tension.]

["Relax. I’m ssing with you."]

[You watched the emotional rollercoaster still playing havoc behind Gojo’s eyes, exhaled a pale cloud of smoke, and let your gaze drift sowhere far away.]

["Or would you prefer it? Do you really want to see the day I co at you with everything I have, trying to kill you? Or the other way around?"]
