Now reading: Chapter 400 Long Time No See, Girl from Junior sister, keep forbear for a while, I almost become invincible as soon!, a Eastern novel by A sprig of Mesona.

As the words "Fairy" were spoken, all the higher-ups of the Xuanhe Sect displayed shocked expressions.

It was said that when the Fairy was born, the heavens bestowed auspicious signs, divine beasts accompanied her, and even the Young Emperor appeared, watching from above the sky. It was truly moving.

However, it had always been just hearsay, never witnessed; but now, the Fairy had co here. A group of people suddenly beca excited.

"Quick, quick, invite her in—no, wait, I will go to receive her myself," the White-Robed Elder stood up and strode out. A group of people followed behind him.

Under the bright moonlight, a figure clad in rainbow garnts stood quietly upon the path. Her figure was slender, pure, and divine, with thick, long hair cascading over her shoulders. From a distance, in the dark night, her face was unclear. Yet even so, the sacred aura that emanated from her made people want to kneel, as if they should submit to her.

This was the Fairy.

The White-Robed Elder spoke with respect, "I am the Second Elder of the Xuanhe Sect. May I ask what brings the Fairy to our sect?"

The Fairy opened her eyelids. Her eyes, clear and profound, revealed an utterly different expression that seed eerie, yet it harmonized with her deanor. She gazed at the White-Robed Elder for a long ti before finally speaking, "I co for the Wuji Sect."

Huh? The White-Robed Elder was astonished. "Disciples of the Wuji Sect are not here."

The Fairy replied, "I know."

So what then? Her words left everyone present from the Xuanhe Sect completely baffled—the disciples of the Wuji Sect were not here, nor was the Wuji Sect itself...

Wait a mont! The White-Robed Elder seed to realize sothing, his face changing dramatically. "Does the Fairy suspect that they—a person and a chicken—are about to raid my Xuanhe Sect?"

"Yes!" she replied tersely, with a single word.

She walked step by step up the path. Her rainbow garnts shone brilliantly, shimring waves of light complented by the bright moon, lending her an even more divine presence. Every gesture of hers emitted the natural essence of the Tao.

The people of the Xuanhe Sect were dumbstruck.

The Fairy added, "I have a page of the Heavenly Book, which allows to see so of the future... Thus, I have seen that their target—the person and the chicken—is your honorable sect." Her voice was light, lodious, and captivating.

She approached the Xuanhe Sect leaders, revealing her flawless visage to all present. A heat rose in the hearts of the crowd. But they quickly ca to their senses, and the White-Robed Elder said excitedly, "Fairy, have you co to stop the evil deeds of the Wuji Sect?"

The Fairy nodded. "Yes."

"That’s wonderful..." the White-Robed Elder said with a smile. "Although my Xuanhe Sect has also prepared so defenses, with the Fairy here to guard, should any disciple of the Wuji Sect dare to co, they will surely not return."

Indeed, the Xuanhe Sect had made so preparations, deploying more than a dozen arrays and having three Lords keeping watch, daring not to slack off. After all, the rumors had gone wild. In just over half a year, a person and a chicken from the Wuji Sect had raided the foundations of sixty to seventy powers. None that had been targeted could escape. Furthermore, afterward, they couldn’t trace the footsteps of the person and the chicken, nor find out how they had infiltrated their sects or how they made off with the cultivation resources. Upon hearing the news, many small powers in the Southern Diaspora trembled with fear.

Everyone found it bewildering. Wasn’t it said that the Wuji Sect ca from Heaven Martial? Wasn’t it said that there were no beings within the Wuji Sect that surpassed the imperial way? Why then, could this person and chicken blatantly raid them, and yet no one could do anything? Where had things gone wrong?

"May I ask, has the Wuji Sect really established a sect within the City of Extinction?" one of the Stewards couldn’t help but ask.

"Yes," the Fairy glanced at him.

Everyone: "..."

Damn, that’s toxic. This Wuji Sect is definitely toxic.

The spatial barrier between the two realms was still intact, so how did they co here? And even manage to establish a sect within the City of Extinction. Impressive.

Thinking this way, the high-level mbers of the Xuanhe Sect could roughly guess the Fairy’s intentions. Curiosity? Or was it to investigate the true strength of the Wuji Sect?

WHOOSH!

A gust of cold wind blew, and another figure appeared on the path behind them. It was a young man in plain white clothes, of average build, with elegant features, red lips, and white teeth. His smile was radiant, like a youth untouched by worldly affairs. The man carried an odd instrunt on his back, akin to a fire poker, completely black and devoid of any sheen or fluctuating aura.

The Fairy instinctively turned her head, uttering two words, "Scholar."

The newcor was indeed the Scholar from an academy. There wasn’t much talk about him, for he seldom took action, but among the younger generation, no one dared to underestimate him, including the Fairy and Bai Yisheng.

The group of high-ranking mbers from the Xuanhe Sect looked as if they had seen a ghost. Two renowned young geniuses from Fairy Valley had converged at their sect at the sa ti.

My heavens! The White-Robed Elder was thrilled.

"So you are here too," the Scholar said with a smile.

"Aren’t you also here?" the Fairy responded with an indifferent tone.

"Alas!" The Scholar said helplessly, "That Wuji Sect really chose a good place, setting up their sect right inside the City of Extinction. Since we can’t get in, we had to track them here."

"Indeed!" the Fairy uttered two words.

"Can you say a few more words? We could exchange so information. For instance... that bastard Sect Master of the Wuji Sect, and that guy nad Chen Pingping, who exactly are they? How can they ignore the Strange Power of the City of Extinction?" The Scholar walked over.

"No!"

"..."

The Fairy had no wish to deal with this guy for two reasons: first, they weren’t on good terms, and second, she didn’t know the answers anyway. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have co here, waiting for the ergence of that ’one person, one chicken’ from the Wuji Sect.

The Scholar chuckled lightly. "This news will soon spread. By that ti, the folks from the Star Sea and the Ancient Country will also arrive here. After all, there aren’t many things left that can ignore the Strange Power, the Power of Destruction, and also the Power of Destruction!"

There was a place filled with such terrifying powers, which had blocked countless talented individuals. Now, soone could ignore it, and naturally, they were curious. If they could obtain this power and control it, it ant they would have the right to enter that place. No one was unmoved.

Huh? At this mont, the Scholar looked back at the small path he had co by. At so point, two more people had appeared. A man and a woman.

When the Fairy saw the man, her heart trembled. It’s him!

Chen Pingping and Jiang Ni’er.

At this ti, he was supposed to be in the City of Extinction, waiting for the combined forces of sixty or seventy powers to attack, ready to intervene and repel them. Indeed! But he hadn’t chosen to defend the City of Extinction; instead, he appeared at the Xuanhe Sect.

Chen Pingping recognized the Fairy and grinned. "Little lass, long ti no see!"

Little lass? Everyone present was shocked. He actually called the Fairy ’little lass’?

What the—! Who was this guy?

Even the Scholar was taken aback for a mont. This guy, his nerve is sothing else! He rembered, a few years ago, so reckless fellow in the Ancient Country had teased the Fairy and was beheaded by her on the spot.

However... upon hearing the words "little lass," the Fairy did not get angry.

The Scholar, standing nearby, wore a peculiar expression. There’s definitely sothing between these two.

"May I ask who the gentleman is?" the White-Robed Elder inquired with a respectful bow.

"Oh, I am just a Loose Cultivator, Naless. I accidentally passed by your esteed sect and happened to see an acquaintance, so I ca over to say hello," Chen Pingping said with a smile.

Passing by? Impossible. He wasn’t blind; how could he just ’pass by’ a trashy sect? He had deduced from the Heavenly Book that it was very likely for Earth Chicken and Li Qi to appear in this place, so he had traced his way here, never expecting to et the Fairy.

Fate, indeed!

Chen Pingping’s smile remained as he walked over and casually slung his arm around the Fairy’s shoulders, then whispered, "Have you found sothing to dissolve the Fusang Tree branch?"

Behind them, a group of people stood dumbstruck, their eyes nearly popping out. He was actually draping his arm around the Fairy, and what’s more, the Fairy wasn’t even angry... Huh? What is happening?

The Scholar’s face turned pale with disbelief. Has the goddess of my Fairy Valley been defiled just like that?
