Within the Realm, on a barren plain.

An earthen-yellow light surged, and the once-flat ground suddenly roiled like ocean waves. Then, a ship slowly erged from below.

Deep within the ship, Guanghai stood with his hands clasped behind his back, ditating to practice breathing.

Just then, Guangming hurried over and took out a rolled-up catalog. "Senior Brother, the disciples have finished refining twelve Arrays."

"Only twelve?"

Guanghai took the Catalog and frowned. "This is about encircling the Demon Dao and promoting our True Skill. Didn’t we set a quota of thirty-six Arrays?"

Guangming gave a helpless, wry smile. "Ten of the thirty-six Array Maps were supposed to be refined by the Naga disciples. But... well, you know what happened, Senior Brother. On top of that, you ordered us to move up the schedule. With such limited ti, twelve Arrays was the absolute limit."

"So, you’re saying it’s my fault?" Guanghai’s eyes narrowed.

"Of course not!"

Guangming’s expression imdiately turned serious. "I was saying the other disciples have been too lazy. I will go and press them right away. I’ll do my best to have them set a few more!"

Guanghai nodded, finally satisfied.

According to the plan they had previously discussed with the Dao Court, they were supposed to advance cautiously, using a vast number of Arrays to trap the Stain Sect here and exterminate them.

But now, things had changed. Since soone in the Stain Sect was cultivating the Ninefold Dragon tamorphosis, Guanghai had no intention of sticking to the original plan. ’What if the Dao Court kills that Demon before I can get to him?’ And so, he imdiately ordered the Pure Land disciples to advance ahead of schedule.

’In any case,’ he thought, ’victory is already in our grasp.’

Because Guangming hadn’t revealed the true extent of Lü Yang’s power, Guanghai, while shocked and enraged by the complete annihilation of the Naga, didn’t find it unbelievable.

’After all, this is the Stain Sect we’re talking about.’

In Guanghai’s judgnt, even if the Stain Sect could wipe out the Naga, they must have suffered heavy losses in the process. ’How could they possibly stand against the combined might of our Eight Legions of Monks?’

Besides, thanks to the joint machinations of the Dao Court and the Pure Land, the Stain Sect had lost nearly a third of its disciples the mont they entered the Outer Realm. Two of their seven Direct Disciples were dead—one of whom Guanghai had slain himself. ’He was a bit of a handful, sure, but not nearly as formidable as the rumors claid.’

The thought made Guanghai even more confident.

’They all say the Stain Sect is vicious, but they seem like nothing special to . Once I take the lead in this battle and achieve great rit, it’ll be the perfect opportunity to make a grand impression on the Bodhisattva...’

Just then, a jolt shot through Guanghai’s Spiritual Sense.

The next mont, a trendous BANG echoed from the Earth Traveling Boat beneath his feet. The vessel lurched to a halt as if it had struck a reef, its Mythical Light flickering violently!

"...What’s going on?"

Guanghai imdiately contacted the Earth Traveling Boat’s Artifact Spirit, only to hear a pained cry for help. "Soone... soone’s attacking !"

"What?"

Guanghai froze. Then, as if acting on instinct, he looked up. At almost the sa instant, every Pure Land Monk inside the Earth Traveling Boat also gazed toward the sky. They saw a flash of Spirit Light tear through the Void and rush toward them. It was a Black Shuttle, and it bood open directly above their heads!

In the next instant, a flood of Stain Sect Disciples poured out!

Five Direct Disciples, seven cultivators at the Final-phase of Qi Refining, and dozens more in the Late-phase of Qi Refining. Each wore a savage grin, their Evil Qi erupting to the heavens and instantly blanketing half the sky!

Only then did it dawn on Guanghai.

But even as the realization hit, his face was a mask of disbelief. ’The Demons are attacking? Instead of hunkering down to defend, they’re launching an assault on us!?’

"Stand clear!"

The first to strike was Daoist Jiao Long. He cracked a grotesque grin and ripped off his Daoist Robe, his seemingly normal flesh instantly beginning to swell!

In the blink of an eye, dense scales sprouted from his left hand. His five fingers fused together and morphed into two Dragon Horns jutting toward the sky. His palm split open to reveal ghastly white fangs, the entire hand transforming into a hideous dragon head. His other organs began to change simultaneously.

His intestines burst from his abdon, twisting into a long dragon’s tail.

His remaining limbs—including his fifth—morphed into dragon claws. His own human head retracted, embedding itself behind the newly ford dragon head like a Reversed Scale. With every breath, an overwhelming wave of Blood Qi surged forth.

He had truly beco a dragon!

Or rather, he had beco sothing that resembled a dragon. The haphazard piles of flesh and the vast but chaotic Blood Qi all radiated an intense, uncanny wrongness.

"HAHAHAHA!"

The next mont, the Evil Flood Dragon, riding a cloud of blood, smashed down into the Earth Traveling Boat. Its draconic head let out a long cry, and for an instant, the world between Heaven and Earth was filled with nothing but its ferocious roar.

RUMBLE!

The Earth Traveling Boat reeled as if from a devastating blow, nearly shattering. Aboard the ship, the Monks with lower Cultivation clutched their ears in agony.

At the sa ti, the other four Direct Disciples followed close behind.

"Oh, Saint Monks, do you find beautiful?"

Bi Feiyuan landed inside the Earth Traveling Boat and, without a word, her clothes burst apart. As the thin gauze drifted away, her snow-white body was revealed to all.

The Monks who took in the sight were instantly stupefied, their vows of purity shattering. The Essence within their bodies was drained in an instant. After their Essence was gone, their lifeblood followed, and finally, even their very Souls were torn from their bodies.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

In a mont, more than a dozen Monks collapsed to the ground, expressions of pure ecstasy frozen on their faces.

Dozens of other Monks, though they had shut their eyes in ti, struggled to expel the Heart Demon she had planted. They could only retreat, silently chanting scriptures to suppress their carnal desires.

SCHLICK!

The next mont, Xu Xin’s figure appeared out of thin air. He backstabbed a Monk who was busy suppressing his Heart Demon, then vanished as strangely as he had appeared.

With each appearance, he claid the life of another Monk.

Chongming, in stark contrast, had no patience for stealth. Becoming one with his Sword Light, he charged into the crowd and began to rampage.

"Kill all these bald donkeys!"

At the sa ti, the remaining Stain Sect Disciples descended from the sky and charged into the Earth Traveling Boat, pairing off with the Monks in battles to the death.

"Saint Monk, why won’t you spare a glance?"

Bi Feiyuan moved like lightning, leaving a storm of blood and gore in her wake, all while cooing in a soft, gentle voice, "You’re ant to deliver all sentient beings, so why not deliver ?"

"Forget power and riches, and your rules and vows...?"

"Saint Monks, let help you with your cultivation..."

At that mont, from the deepest part of the Earth Traveling Boat, Guanghai finally made his move.

"FIENDS!!!"

His voice erupted with the Infinite Buddha Sound, his words booming like the Thunder Sound of Dharma. "When I achieve Buddhahood, if the people in my land give rise to thoughts of attachnt or greed for their bodies, may I not attain supre, perfect enlightennt!"

Wherever the Thunder Sound passed, the Monks were freed from their attachnt to self. With no self, there could be no greed, hatred, or ignorance—nor even life and death. The myriad desires stirred by Bi Feiyuan instantly vanished. Now, even as they looked upon her exposed form, their gazes were perfectly clear, without a hint of wavering.

Seeing this, Bi Feiyuan’s pretty face darkened.

’Hmph. This is exactly why I hate these bald donkeys...’

Freed from Bi Feiyuan’s influence, the Monks quickly regrouped. Beams of Buddha Light shot to the sky, coalescing into one Vajra Dharma Body after another.

"Amitabha..."

Aboard the ship, Guanghai’s expression was grim. "Without the Naga, the Eight Legions of Monks are incomplete. Otherwise, I would have ensured not one of these Demons left here alive today!"

When the Eight Legions of Monks—hundreds of Qi Refining Buddhist Cultivators—joined forces, they could construct eight Vajra Dharma Bodies.

And if those eight Vajra Dharma Bodies were to rge into one, they could borrow an Arhat Position from the Pure Land, a power comparable to the Foundation Establishnt realm. This was one of the Pure Land’s trump cards.

But now, with the Naga completely wiped out, that trump card was mostly useless.

He had a way to compensate for the loss, but the price was too high. He wouldn’t use it unless it was his absolute last resort. Fortunately, the situation was still within his control.

"Seven Vajra Dharma Bodies should be sufficient," Guanghai thought with a cold smile. ’A surprise attack to break the siege is certainly creative, but it’s still a wasted effort. Today, you will all et your end here...’

But just then, Guanghai’s eyebrow twitched.

He was in the deepest part of the Earth Traveling Boat, protected by layer upon layer of Arrays, yet he felt a gaze as sharp as a sword land upon him.

’...This is bad!’

The instant he felt the gaze, Guanghai moved to recall the Eight Legions of Monks to protect him.

But it was too late!

Outside the Earth Traveling Boat, high in the heavens.

Lü Yang stood upon the empty air, his expression impassive as he silently made calculations with his fingers. At the very mont Guanghai felt his gaze, a smirk tugged at the corner of Lü Yang’s mouth.

"Found you."

The next second, he plumted downward!

At almost the sa instant, Guanghai felt a monuntal Magical Power smash through layer after layer of his defenses. It descended like a collapsing mountain, an overwhelming force that blotted out the sky as it tore a path directly toward him!
