Capítulo 1846: Chapter 1846: The Locator’s Target

Xu Huo knew more information than the others, the most crucial being the potion he obtained from Dr. Deng.

Perhaps Dr. Joyce was conducting breeding experints with humans and degenerates, but at the sa ti, he probably didn’t give up on conquering Black Thorn disease. The potion given by Dr. Deng was proven effective against Black Thorn disease, though more experintal subjects were needed to determine its exact efficacy. Since there have been so breakthroughs, Dr. Joyce likely wouldn’t completely abandon this path.

However, he is already dead, and it’s hard to say how far the research had progressed. Additionally, when the CK12 players retreated, they must have taken the related experintal products, whether it’s the potion or the newborn “lissa.”

Black Under the Light and another person went to clear the sand again, while Xu Huo turned his back and took out the tracking device.

Upon reaching CK12, the speed of the pointer on the tracking device beca extrely slow, but the coverage range changed from a fan shape to a semicircle.

The other half of the tracker wasn’t within the safe zone but was moving outside.

The only explanation for this situation is that an alien took the tracker, and it has been circulating among the different species group, possibly with one or multiple heads, depending on how Dr. Joyce’s tracker ended up on the alien species.

If it was swallowed accidentally, it doesn’t make much difference whether the alien that consud it is dead or if the tracker has been passed among different aliens.

But if Dr. Joyce deliberately placed the tracker on an alien, this is currently the only clue.

“Old Xu, co and look at this.” Black Under the Light shouted from the room.

Xu Huo quickly walked over and saw Juan Er holding a piece of baby clothing. Judging by the condition of the clothing, it didn’t seem to be more than a decade old, and moreover, this is a laboratory, so why would soone have baby clothes unless…

“Did a child really get born?” Black Under the Light and Juan Er said in unison.

“A piece of baby clothing doesn’t an much, but let’s consider it a good on.” Xu Huo glanced around, “Are there any other baby supplies?”

“That’s the strange part; there are no other items for infants,” said Black Under the Light. “If there really was a child, they wouldn’t have packed up all the living supplies and only left this piece of clothing, right?”

“Maybe it’s in other rooms.” Juan Er was eager to try, “Let’s clear out other places as well!”

Xu Huo had no objections. Over the next few hours, they cleaned the laboratory and only managed to clear it out around midnight. Unfortunately, they didn’t find any evidence of a newborn, but they did find several abandoned embryos of various species that clearly were not of the sa kind, along with aliens suffocated under heavy objects, each tagged with a number.

Xu Huo instructed a robot to scan the aliens’ bodies, but no chips similar to those in Zone 019’s aliens were found.

Lacking new leads after a long while, they used so tal materials to seal off doors and windows, then returned to the surface.

Apart from the baby clothing, they truly did not find much. Pink Hair was quite intrigued, “Could it be that the child was taken away by people escaping from CK12?”

“It’s hard to say,” said Black Under the Light. “The key issue is that we don’t even know where those people fled to or if they’re still alive. Even if they are, they surely wouldn’t reveal themselves voluntarily; that child is the hope of Zone 010, the one sprout in over a decade.”

Needless to say, this was another wild-goose chase. The safe zones in Zone 010 aren’t nurous, but there’s no guarantee the child is in a safe zone; besides, the most secure option would be to take the child to another zone, so why stay in Zone 010?

“Looking at it this way, clearing this instance might be a bit difficult,” said Brother Wu. “I originally thought we could get lucky.”

“This instance might not necessarily be referring to the newborn,” said Juan Er with an implicit glance at Gao Dawei.

Noticing the others’ glances, Gao Dawei shrank his neck.

The “Lighthouse” in this instance for Black Under the Light and company was more likely a substitute, whether it be a person, object, or sothing else. Chang Shoujie’s conditions fit, though he wouldn’t live long, but fortunately, he had found a successor ahead of ti for himself.

If managed well, Gao Dawei could be pushed to the forefront, allowing him to beco the next “Chang Shoujie.”

“It’s too late today, let’s rest. We’ll go down again tomorrow.” Xu Huo pulled out “Snowflake Hotel.”

Having a comfortable bed to sleep on was certainly better than sleeping on the sand.

Hotel rooms opened and closed, and before long, the lights in each room went out one by one.

Once the hotel was completely quiet, Xu Huo walked out, heading in the direction of the tracker.

He didn’t use any props and moved through the desert at a length of five hundred ters, allowing enough observation ti for both the front and rear. When the tracker in front backed off, he continued forward for about two thousand ters before stopping, then took out the tracking device to determine the position.

At this ti, the pointer wasn’t moving.

Xu Huo opened the “Cubic Space,” used spatial power for two quick moves, and then ascended into the air, discovering a group of aliens half-buried in the sand.

After the population of Zone 010 dwindled, the number of aliens also gradually declined, mainly due to environntal deterioration leading to reduced food, resulting in starvation and intra-species fighting. However, not all aliens would attack their kind, like those they encountered previously in the sandstorm area, which evolved a low-energy survival mode to adapt to the environnt, allowing them to remain inactive for extended periods without food or water.

No matter which the case may be, although not completely wiped out, this group of aliens implied they had adapted to the desert environnt.

From the ground, there appeared to be quite a few aliens, but from above, nothing seed particularly special. However, Xu Huo shifted his position in the air, causing the pointer to change, confirming the tracker was amidst this group of aliens.

Quietly landing on the ground, Xu Huo took out three ard robots, used silencing props and an invisibility suit, and began a wide-scale scan of these aliens.

About half a minute later, one of the ard robots accurately identified an alien embedded with a tal object.

This alien wasn’t significantly different in size from the others; its skin was just a shade darker. Judging by the look alone, it didn’t seem to be a degenerate human.

Xu Huo didn’t rush to capture it. Instead, he took out Shelter 101 to shield himself, tested the effects of a tranquilizer on two nearby aliens, and then administered it on that alien, thereafter transferring it through a ntal Portal.

He was sowhat distanced from the alien group, so standing in the middle allowed testing if the tracking device indeed pointed to this alien.

The result was correct; finding the place where the tracker was installed, Xu Huo touched the thin leg bones of the alien, confird the positioning chip was embedded in the bone, and then proceeded to cut into the alien’s skin.
