The woman lightly covered her mouth again, "Oh dear, I can’t talk to you any longer, I must be going."

After saying that, she brushed past Xu Huo’s shoulder and left.

Seeing several aggressive players chasing from the front, Xu Huo blocked her for a mont and took out the prop she’d slipped into his pocket, handing it back to her.

The woman seed sowhat resigned, "You’re so oblivious to romance. Can’t you see this is just an excuse I created to see you again?"

"Really?" Xu Huo replied, "I think it’s more like an excuse to escape."

The players had already approached, and upon seeing the woman being stopped, they imdiately demanded, "Hand over the prop!"

"What prop?" The woman’s expression turned cold as she stepped behind Xu Huo, "Don’t think it’s because I’m alone that you can bully with numbers!"

The group directed their attention to Xu Huo, "Are the two of you together?"

Xu Huo gestured for them to calm down and then called over a clerk from nearby, "Could you please contact the Law Enforcent Team; there’s theft happening here."

In a flash, the woman darted over ten ters away, calling out to them from a distance, "When you were harassing , you didn’t think about the prop. Now that you’re done harassing, you want the prop back. Nothing’s that easy! Consider the prop your compensation!"

As her words faded, she completely vanished into the crowd.

Watching her run far away, the players were indignant, intending to settle scores with Xu Huo. However, upon eting his gaze, they suddenly cald down and left with caution.

"Sir, do you still want to call the Law Enforcent Team?" the clerk asked.

"No need." Xu Huo handed over two White Notes to him.

It was just a minor incident. Surprising though, not long after, they ran into the thieving woman again. This ti, she had changed her look, wearing a fitted short skirt, switched her hair to long waves, heavily made up, sitting by the bar drinking, surrounded by several bottles, looking slightly intoxicated.

Two or three n crowded around her, listening to her narrate the betrayal by a lover, urging her to drink more.

"Do you know what happened to that scumbag in the end?" the woman asked with a hint of humor to those around her.

Naturally, soone chid in, and the woman soon revealed the answer, "Of course he died. He wanted to feed to the Alien, so I preemptively struck, and it was he who beca the food!"

Sitting beside her, or perhaps in the bar, so ordinary people who had been watching her automatically withdrew, leaving only so players behind.

A middle-aged man next to her chuckled, "I like won like you who dare to love and hate. Such won are loyal to their lovers, not the fickle type."

The woman lifted her brow to look at him, pushing her glass against his shoulder lightly, "And what type are you?"

The man’s voice was deep, "I’m obviously a romantic at heart. Ever since my last girlfriend cheated on , I’ve stayed celibate, not even touching a woman’s hand..."

The woman laughed lightly, "You just touched my hand earlier."

"You’re different, it was love at first sight for ..." As he spoke, he moved closer, finally whispering into her ear.

Shortly thereafter, they left one after the other.

The Girl in the painting insisted on tasting the fruit platter here, so Xu Huo witnessed their flirtation in its entirety. The woman noticed him too and gave him a hidden wink as she passed by his table.

Less than two minutes later, a fight broke out near the restroom, but thanks to a prop that was used beforehand, the commotion went unnoticed by those outside, or perhaps no one cared.

Two more minutes passed; the man was nowhere to be found, and the woman erged alone, sporting minor injuries. They didn’t look serious, but she carried a strong scent of blood.

After coming out, she imdiately left the bar, and shortly thereafter, two players also departed from different areas of the bar.

Once Xu Huo finished his drink, he settled the bill and left.

A few streets away at the mouth of an alley, he stopped, calling inside, "Let’s go ho."

The Girl in the painting waved a blood-stained hand at him, signaling for him to co in.

Xu Huo stepped in; the two n who had gone after were already dead, and the woman, forcing herself to stay calm, leaned against the wall, with two bullet holes bleeding from her stomach. Potion bottles were strewn all over, but they weren’t very effective.

Glancing at the Girl in the painting rummaging around the corpses, he tossed a bottle of Cleansing Potion over, "Stop searching. Clean your hands and clothes."

Both n were killed by the Girl in the painting—one had his throat slit, and the other had his heart gouged out. That’s where the blood on her hands ca from.

"Two against one, they’re not heroes. Two against two, they’re all dead." The Girl in the painting casually accounted for her ddling.

"Thank you," the woman said weakly, "You helped out back in the bar restroom."

"I didn’t help you," Xu Huo corrected. In fact, in the bar, the woman was already badly injured. She probably intended to lure players to kill, but hadn’t anticipated the middle-aged man was stronger. If not for the Girl in the painting’s intervention, she would have almost been beaten to death. After the middle-aged man failed to fend off the Girl in the painting and left using a prop, the woman hurriedly left, only to be intercepted, before the Girl in the painting showed up.

The outco, as laid out before them.

"Still, thank you," the woman chuckled, "eting so soon again, isn’t it fate?"

Xu Huo glanced at her, didn’t say much, and called the Girl in the painting to leave.

The Girl in the painting also looked at the woman, tapping on the communicator, "You won’t die, right?"

"I won’t." The woman stood up against the wall, "I’m not afraid to tell you, I’ve been in this line of work for years, survived even worse injuries, my little life always held on."

The Girl in the painting paused, turning to Xu Huo, "She’s quite weak, huh."

The woman managed a weak laugh, "Sister, you saved my life, I can’t repay you. If you have any requests, just say, if I can accomplish them, I will, and if I can’t, I’ll write you an IOU."

"I don’t want an IOU," the Girl in the painting quickly replied, "Just work as hard as you can to repay ."

, drawing quite a crowd.

He joined the fun, buying two glasses of local fruit wine to try, and the taste wasn’t bad.

The streets were crowded, and collisions with others were inevitable. Suddenly, another person bumped into him, a woman with glossy, flowing hair naturally drew attention. Following her monts later, she looked up with an apologetic smile, "Sorry."

Xu Huo smiled, "It’s okay. If your eyesight is bad and you’re uncoordinated, you can go out less and avoid crowded places."

The woman looked confused, "What are you talking about?"

Xu Huo pointed forward, "From one end of the street to the other, you’ve bumped into no less than five people."

The woman dropped her innocent facade, glancing coquettishly at him, "Don’t be so petty. It’s just a bump; you won’t suffer much. Why not see it as a romantic encounter?"
