Pathos praised as he reviewed the footage of Zhen Liu creating the bodies of the three tezcatlipocas.

Most people, when asked to explain traumatic situations to others, would normally shy away, be a touch evasive, and generally avoid giving copious amounts of details.
Zhen Liu was not like most people.
The trio of tezcatlipocas asked for details about what their wayward brother was up to, so he decided to tell them...as much as the others reported to him.
Naly that the wayward fragnt of a god had decided to build himself so kind of underworld army by defeating and absorbing the assets of underworld organizations while simultaneously creating weird "apostle" motherfuckers that were birds for so reason.
The trio didn’t give a shit about the forr; they gave a lot of shits about the latter.
"Hang on, did you just say that Smoking Mirror was bestowing mortals with [Law] power? Directly?!" Quetzalcoatl asked, sounding shocked and offended at the sa ti.
"I get the feeling that you have a reason for this shocked behavior...but yeah? Why is this shocking?"
"Tell , Shaper, you must be familiar with our stories, yes?" Huzitlpotchli asked with a raised brow and an inquisitive look.
Zhen Liu understood the implications of the blue war god’s words but didn’t fully confirm them due to the presence of his friends and family. Instead, he used a lie that had a modicum of truth in it.
"The library here was books dedicated to your stories. You three and Smoking MIrror were created by a dualistic deity known as Oteotl," Zhen Liu answered, unaware that the na he just said beca garbled to literally everyone else in the room due to it being laced with the power of [Chaos] in an unintended manner. That is, he was unaware of it until he heard his aforentioned friends and family react in surprise.
"Whoa!" Lythero exclaid in surprise at the rumbling noise that emanated from Zhen Liu’s mouth. "What the hell was that?"
"It sounded like a na," Jinju Ren mumbled as she tried to wrap her head around the sound she just heard co out of her fiancee’s mouth. "But like, sothing ancient, guttural, and weird."
"It kind of reminded of...spider song," Rianna eventually answered as she racked her mories.
"Yeah, wait, what?"
Noticing these weird reactions, Zhen Liu directed his attention to the three tezcalitipocas for an answer.
"Mind explaining?"
"Nas have power to them. But only when spoken by certain individuals with a certain...wavelength," Xipe Totec answered. "Let’s just say that you and Ototl have a little more in common than you think."
"The hell kind of na is Ototl?" Zhen Tai asked, apparently being able to hear that as opposed to Zhen Liu’s weird pronunciation.
"Huh..." Zhen Liu trailed off for a brief mont as he thought of the implications of this revelation. "Anyways, I recall from the story that you four created the world out of the living body of a giant crocodilian monster nad...I’m not going to risk saying that na for fear of accidentally waking it up or sothing, and that you guys then tried to create humanity multiple tis while also swapping out the roles of who was the sun during those tis. A total of...five tis. Five suns, five ages."
"Wait, what?" Lythero asked the mont he heard that little snippet of the story. Unfortunately, he was ignored by the others in favor of the godly beings explaining themselves a little further.
"Damn, a Shaper with so actual knowledge between those ears. Color impressed," Quetzalcoatl praised in a slightly exaggerated tone. "But yeah, if you know the story, then you know how Smoking Mirror was very bitter about the fact that we made humans to replace the first batch that was under his rule, and that he kept causing problems for the suns that followed after him."
"Yeah...that much I rember," Zhen Liu nodded as he recalled the stories for himself.
Tezcatlipoca, Smoking Mirror, presided as the first sun in an age where humans were all giant. Due to his domain, and because he was missing a leg at that point in ti, however, he had only managed to create a half sun and make a world of eternal twilight.
This age ca to an end when, after an argunt with Quetzalcoatl, he decided to cover the land in a rain of jaguars that devoured everyone.
"What the fuck? What kind of world is this?" Zhen Xing exclaid. While Zhen Liu was talking to the three tezcatlipocas, he and Zhen Tai had decided to use the library’s function and learn more about what the fuck they were all talking about.
He had apparently gotten to the part about the world being flooded in blood for fifty two years straight.
"Smoking Mirror was never fond of any of the humans other than the ones he ruled over, so the fact that he has apostles suggest one of two things," Xipe Totec picked up without missing a beat. "He’s either desperate enough to empower the mortals of this world to make up for his own deficiencies, or he’s making mortals by his own hand. Judging by the fact that you ntioned his warriors appeared to be bastardized eagle warriors, it suggests the latter."
"Well, that’s fun," Zhen Liu sarcastically said in joy. "So what are your plans then? Are you going to stay here and wait until I co into contact with him again?"
Zhen Liu had mild misgivings about unleashing even more deities into the wilds of Valresta. Granted, there were like...six different groups who have done that shit before in history...of which half were directly related to previous kaijin lords.
Honestly, he was just paranoid about them causing havoc that he would have to clean up later.
Correction: havoc that he and the kaijin would have to clean up later.
"Oh, you don’t have to worry about us, Monster Shaper," Quetzalcoatl said as he stretched his sinewy new body, purposefully exposing the fact that his stomach was tight enough to grind at upon. "We’re just going to take a page out of our brother’s book and train up a bit."
"I...am a little scared to ask what that entails exactly," Zhen Liu freely admitted.
The three Tezcalipocas didn’t even bother to assuage Zhen Liu’s fear. They simply got up from their seats and prepared to move out.
"That door over there is still connected to the Dozing Salamander continent, yes?" Huiztipoctli asked.
"Yes, but we’re also inside of a roadside inn. Please don’t do anything—"
Before Zhen Liu could even make his request for the three divine beings to not cause a ruckus or trouble for others, they imdiately flew out of the library and out the door that was connected to a little roadside inn’s one and only suite.
"Fuck," Zhen Liu cursed before sucking air through his teeth and looking grumpier than a toad covered in sand. "I really hope this doesn’t get out of hand."
...Oh boy...
"Bleh, why is it so humid today?" Carlos grumbled as he finished piling the last of the firewood. "Makes it near impossible to work."
As the only son of the owners of the Skydipper Inn, Carlos was tasked with a multitude of chores that were necessary to keep the inn running.
These chores were naly to clean the floors, gather the wood, prepare ingredients, etc.
Now, most people would grow tired of such a mundane routine, but Carlos actually found the tasks rather fulfilling. Especially since these tasks were the only things keeping his mind off of his old leg injury.
The one that ended his ambitions of becoming a legendary aether warrior.
"Alright, that’s the last of the wood," Carlos declared after placing the last log. "Now I have ti to—"
Woosh! Woosh! Woosh!
"What the—whoa!"
Just as Carlos was about to make his way back inside of the inn so that he could start prepping for the dinner al, he found himself getting bowled over as a trio of light motes originating from inside the inn suddenly flew right past him.
The motion was so sudden that it took him a hot minute to realize that these lights were colored.
It then took him another minute to realize that a miracle had occurred the mont these lights blew by him.
