The wedding celebrations continued for several more days before life slowly started settling down again.

Though "settling down" inside the Sivakumar household still ant:

relatives refusing to leave, leftover sweets appearing endlessly, and Lakshmi discovering new wedding expenses every morning.

Still…

The biggest tension had finally passed.

Suriya and Jothika were married.

And the happiness from that lingered warmly throughout the house.

A few days later, under heavy insistence from Karthi, the newly married couple finally left for their honeymoon trip to Switzerland.

The airport send-off itself beca another cody show.

Near the departure entrance, Karthi folded his hands dramatically toward Suriya.

"Please."

"Go peacefully. Don't call us for at least one week."

Suriya imdiately threw a water bottle at him.

anwhile Karuppu shalessly added.

"Anna1, Switzerland climate is dangerous."

Jothika blinked innocently.

-Blink!

"Dangerous?"

Karuppu nodded seriously.

-Nod!

"Very romantic."

Even the airport staff nearby started laughing hearing that.

Suriya finally lost patience.

"I'm leaving this family permanently."

But despite all the teasing, the happiness on his face remained impossible to hide.

As the couple finally disappeared inside the airport entrance, Lakshmi quietly smiled to herself.

For years she had worried silently about her eldest son's future.

Now finally…

He looked complete.

anwhile, after the wedding ended, Lakshmi suddenly announced another plan.

Temple visits.

Lots of them.

Because throughout the years leading to the marriage, she had made countless prayers and vows at different temples.

Now that the wedding had happened peacefully, she wanted to fulfill every single promise properly.

And just like that—The entire family got dragged into a spiritual road trip across Tamil Nadu.

Including:

Sivakumar, Lakshmi, Karthi, Brinda, and unfortunately for himself, Karuppu.

Though to be honest…

It slowly turned into sothing closer to a family outing than strict religious travel.

The family visited temple after temple:

Hill temples,

Ancient shrines,

Village guardian deity temples,

massive crowded temple towns,

And peaceful roadside shrines hidden between highways.

At every stop, Lakshmi carefully perford rituals she had promised years earlier.

Oil lamps.

Special poojas for the gods.

Annadhanam.1

Offerings for the gods.

Prayers for family wellbeing.

anwhile Sivakumar mostly looked relieved that wedding responsibilities were finally over.

During the road trips, the family atmosphere beca unusually relaxed.

No dia. No shooting schedules.

No industry pressure of a film he need to do a good job acting.

Just family.

One afternoon after finishing rituals at a temple near a village area, the family sat beneath a large banyan tree eating lunch served on banana leaves.

Karuppu, who had already finished eating, lazily stretched while looking toward the open fields nearby.

For a mont, the world felt strangely peaceful.

Brinda suddenly looked toward him.

"When are you leaving for Mumbai?"

"In a week."

The reminder instantly brought reality back.

Because while wedding celebrations and movie shooting had occupied his life recently…

Another path still waited for him.

"...."

"...."

"...."

The Under-19 camp.

Held in Mumbai.

Soon he would leave for intense training with players selected from across the country.

And unlike cinema…

Cricket cared nothing about family na or screen presence.

Only performance mattered there.

Karthi leaned back after drinking water and looked at him.

"You're really serious about this cricket thing ah?"

Karuppu looked genuinely offended.

"Of course."

"I thought you'd fully enter cinema after Adhavan."

Karuppu shrugged lightly his shoulder.

"I like both."

The afternoon breeze moved softly through the temple courtyard while the family rested beneath the large banyan tree after lunch.

Nearby, devotees continued walking in and out of the temple carrying flowers and coconuts while bells echoed faintly in the background.

-Clangs!

For a few monts after Sivakumar's words, silence lingered around the group.

"One day…"

He had said calmly.

"…you'll have to choose."

Karthi looked thoughtful.

Brinda too quietly glanced toward Karuppu.

Because honestly… Everyone sitting there had wondered the sa thing at so point.

Cinema and cricket were not hobbies anymore for him.

Both had already beco serious paths.

One required complete dedication.

The other demanded your entire life.

Trying to balance both sounded almost impossible.

But Karuppu simply leaned back against the tree trunk and looked up toward the swaying leaves above him.

Then slowly—He smiled.

"No."

Sivakumar frowned slightly.

-Frown!

"No?"

Karuppu turned toward his father calmly.

"I'll choose both."

Imdiately Karthi laughed.

"-Hahaha!!!"

"Dei1, life isn't buffet system."

Karuppu ignored him completely.

Instead, he looked directly at Sivakumar.

"You told anna1 to trust his heart when everyone doubted him."

Then toward Karthi.

"You told him too that if he truly loved acting, he should commit properly."

Both brothers quietened slightly hearing that.

Karuppu continued casually.

"So why should I throw away one dream for another?"

Sivakumar sighed hearing his response.

"Because reality doesn't work that easily."

"Maybe."

Karuppu nodded as he looked at his family.

-Nod!

"But I still want both."

There was no arrogance in his voice. No dramatic hero dialogue tone.

Just simple stubborn honesty in him.

The kind everyone in the family knew too well.

Lakshmi quietly smiled hearing him.

Because among all her children…

Karuppu had always been the strangest one.

When he wanted sothing, he never thought halfway.

Either completely or nothing.

anwhile Karthi shook his head while laughing softly.

"-Haha!"

"Only this fellow can say he wants to beco both international cricketer and superstar actor like he's ordering als."

Karuppu pointed proudly at himself.

"Ambition. Madness. Vision."

"Future headache for my future ."

Even Brinda started laughing now.

"-Hahahaha!!!"

But Sivakumar remained thoughtful.

He looked at his youngest son carefully.

The boy sitting before him didn't look confused.

That was the surprising part.

Usually young people chased multiple things because they couldn't decide.

Karuppu wasn't like that.

He genuinely loved both worlds.

The stadium. And the cara.

The roar of crowds.

And the silence before "action."

And sowhere deep inside, Sivakumar realized sothing uncomfortable.

This boy might actually try to do it.

Not because it was practical.

But because everyone telling him it was impossible would only motivate him further.

Finally Sivakumar let out a helpless sigh.

-Sigh!

"You inherited your mother's stubbornness."

Lakshmi imdiately looked offended.

"My stubbornness ah?"

"Then whose?"

She pointed toward Karuppu.

"That shaless confidence is fully your side."

"Amma1…"

Karuppu grinned proudly.

-Grin!

"Thank you."

"That wasn't complint."

Too late. He had already accepted it as one.

The family slowly burst into relaxed laughter again beneath the shade of the tree.

And for the first ti in many months…

Karuppu himself felt strangely clear inside.

No confusion. No pressure. He didn't want to abandon cricket.

And he didn't want to leave cinema either.

So instead of choosing one dream…

He would simply force life itself to make space for both.

After two days...

Two days later, while most of Tamil Nadu remained busy discussing Suriya's wedding photos and celebrity guest appearances…

Another unexpected piece of news quietly began spreading across sports dia.

At first, barely anyone paid attention.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India1 had officially announced the squad for the upcoming Under-19 World Cup to be held in Malaysia.

Which will be in a month.

Usually, outside hardcore cricket followers, such news didn't create huge noise.

Most people focused more on:

the senior Indian team,

IPL rumors a tournant which has been a revelation this year, or international tournants involving famous players.

Under-19 cricket rarely entered mainstream discussion.

At least initially.

But that changed very quickly.

Because among the announced nas, one particular entry suddenly started spreading everywhere.

Karuppan Sivakumar Vice Captain All-Rounder

At first, many people assud it was so other Karuppan.

Then sports journalists started connecting details since he was from Tamil Nadu.

Then cinema reporters picked it up soon after.

And suddenly—The news exploded all across Tamil Nadu.

"Sivakumar's third son selected for India U-19 squad!"

"Actor and Cricketer?"

"Adhavan hero enters international cricket!"

"Karuppan Sivakumar nad vice-captain for India!"

Television channels imdiately began recycling every available image of him.

Unfortunately for Karuppu…

Most available public visuals still ca from the Adhavan pooja function.

So sports discussions awkwardly used photos of him wearing sunglasses beside movie posters while discussing cricket statistics.

Inside Chennai tea shops, the confusion beca hilarious.

One man reading the newspaper frowned deeply.

-Frown!

"Wait… He's actor or cricketer?"

Another man replied confidently:

"Apparently both."

"Aiyo1 what both?"

"He's hero in cinema and vice-captain in Indian team."

The first man lowered the paper slowly.

"Life is unfair."

anwhile sports magazines and local Tamil newspapers began digging deeper into his cricket background.

School records.

District performances.

Selection camp reports. His aggressive batting.

His bowling versatility.

And especially his reputation as a genuine all-rounder.

The mont that information spread, public curiosity increased rapidly.

The reports they were reading in these news papar and the news were telling them he was damn talented in it.

Because this wasn't just celebrity privilege anymore.

Cricket selection at national level carried weight.

Nobody entered Indian squads purely through family influence that too from Tamil Nadu.

Especially not vice-captain positions.

That alone made people take him seriously.

anwhile inside the film industry itself, the news created a different kind of reaction.

Many technicians from Adhavan openly celebrated hearing it.

Assistant directors called each other in excitent.

Even Ravikumar reportedly laughed loudly hearing one producer complain:

"This fellow is collecting careers like Pokémon cards."

At the Sivakumar household, however…

The situation beca chaos again.

Phones started ringing nonstop from morning.

Relatives. dia people. Friends.

Sports journalists. Cinema reporters.

Everybody suddenly wanted to speak with Karuppu.

Lakshmi herself looked both shocked and emotional after seeing the official squad announcent on television.

"My son…"

She kept staring at the screen proudly.

"…India team."

anwhile Sivakumar sat silently reading the squad announcent several tis.

"...."

Not because he doubted it.

But because even he hadn't expected the vice-captain position.

That ant the selectors trusted Karuppu deeply already.

Across the room, Karthi looked toward his younger brother sitting casually on the sofa eating mixture like nothing life-changing had happened.

"You're not reacting at all?"

Karuppu shrugged his shoulder enjoying his fruits salad.

"I expected selection. Since they had already contacted us few weeks before."

Karthi stared at Karuppu with an raised eye brow.

"Vice-captain too?"

Karuppu thought for two seconds.

"…pleasant bonus for a handso young man."

Brinda threw a cushion at him imdiately.

"Can you behave normally for one day?"

"No."

anwhile the television channels had already started creating dramatic crossover headlines:

"From Silver Screen to Team India!"

"Kollywood Hero in Blue Jersey!"

"Can Karuppan balance cinema and cricket?"

And sowhere in Mumbai…

Even the BCCI dia staff looked mildly confused while preparing official promotional material.

Because for the first ti in a long while…

An Indian U-19 cricketer was already entering the tournant with cinema fans waiting for him.
