....

As the night progressed, Karuppu and Nayanthara spent most of the ti together moving through the celebration hall.

They chatted with:

Journalists,

Cricket officials,

Production representatives,

And several international guests curious about the strange actor-cricketer phenonon.

Many reporters repeatedly tried fishing for relationship questions.

Karuppu skillfully dodged most of them with jokes.

One journalist asked directly.

"Are cricket and cinema equally important to you?"

Karuppu smiled casually.

"One gives applause. The other gives scorecard."

Then after a pause.

"Both beco dangerous when audience is silent."

The answer imdiately got written down by nearly every entertainnt reporter nearby.

"...."

"...."

"...."

anwhile Nayanthara quietly observed him during conversations.

And honestly… Even she found it fascinating sotis.

Because Karuppu adapted everywhere naturally.

With cricketers he behaved like athlete.

With cinema people he blended effortlessly.

With journalists he stayed playful without losing control.

And despite the massive attention surrounding him tonight… He sohow still behaved like himself.

That strange grounded confidence made him dangerous socially.

Eventually the night grew late.

Guests slowly started leaving one by one.

Nayanthara had already booked a cab back to her hotel since the Indian squad would remain together tonight.

So after so ti, Karuppu personally accompanied her outside.

The noise from the party beca softer behind them as both walked through the illuminated hotel driveway side by side.

For the first ti that night… Things beca quiet.

"...."

"...."

"...."

No caras nearby. No shouting. No teammates.

Just distant rain sll lingering from earlier weather.

The cab arrived near the entrance.

Before she entered, Nayanthara looked at him for a long second. Then finally spoke softly.

"You know …I ca here thinking I would just support a friend."

Karuppu raised an eyebrow slightly.

"And?"

She smiled helplessly.

"But now I think I witnessed history."

For once… Karuppu actually looked slightly embarrassed hearing that.

Only slightly.

Then his usual grin returned.

-Grin!

"Good ticket value then."

Nayanthara laughed imdiately and lightly hit his arm again.

"-Hehe!"

"Hopeless fellow."

The cab driver patiently pretended not to notice anything while internally witnessing future gossip history unfold before his eyes.

Before entering the cab fully, she paused once more.

"And Karuppu…"

"Hm?"

"That innings…"

A small smile appeared on her face.

"…was beautiful."

For a brief second, the usually shaless Karuppu beca quiet.

"...."

Then he nodded softly.

-Nod!

"Thanks."

The cab slowly drove away afterward.

Karuppu stood there watching it disappear beneath the hotel lights for a few monts before finally turning back toward the celebration hall.

Inside… The noise, laughter, and music still continued loudly.

But sowhere deep inside his mind, a strange feeling lingered now.

As Karuppu made his way back toward the celebration hall, the corridor outside the ballroom remained lively with guests moving around carrying drinks and chatting loudly about the final.

Even now, snippets of conversations followed him everywhere.

"200 in a final da…"

"That sixes over was madness."

"Movie release confird blockbuster."

Karuppu ignored most of it casually while adjusting the sleeves of his black shirt.

Then—He suddenly ca face to face with a small group of foreigners near the hallway lounge area.

Australian accents.

Young athletes.

And right at the center stood the sa girl he had briefly noticed during the match earlier.

Ellyse Perry.

Now seeing her closer, Karuppu finally realized properly how young she actually looked.

Yet despite that, there was already natural athletic confidence in the way she carried herself.

The mont their eyes t, Ellyse smiled warmly before stepping forward and raising her hand politely.

"Hi."

"I'm Ellyse."

Karuppu blinked once in slight surprise.

-Blink!

Even he recognized the na imdiately.

After all, dual-sport athletes were extrely rare.

Especially at international level.

Still, he recovered quickly and shook her hand with an easy smile.

"Karuppu."

Then added casually.

"I've watched your matches before."

That genuinely surprised her.

"...."

Before she could even react, he continued naturally:

"You're really good. And honestly…"

A grin appeared on his face.

-Grin!

"A bright future is waiting for you."

For a second, Ellyse actually beca slightly embarrassed.

A faint redness touched her cheeks unexpectedly.

"...."

Because usually she was the one complinting athletes after matches.

Not receiving praise from soone who had just played one of the most ridiculous innings she had ever witnessed live.

One of her friends beside her imdiately raised an eyebrow teasingly seeing her reaction.

anwhile Ellyse looked genuinely curious now.

"You actually watch won's cricket?"

The question carried real surprise.

And honestly… A little happiness too.

Karuppu nodded casually.

-Nod!

"Of course. Cricket is cricket."

Then with a shaless grin he even imitated her.

"Good batting deserves respect."

That answer alone instantly improved the impression her entire friend group had about him.

Because unlike many athletes who gave polite fake responses… Karuppu's reply sounded genuine.

Eventually her friends slowly drifted away intentionally, sensing their friend wanted to chat properly.

And just like that…

The conversation started flowing naturally.

Ellyse asked about the innings imdiately.

More specifically—The insane shots.

She mimicked his kneeling ramp shot from earlier dramatically with her hands.

"How did you even think of playing that?"

Karuppu burst out laughing imdiately seeing the imitation.

"-Haha!!!"

"You rembered that shot specifically?"

"How can anyone forget that?!"

She shook her head laughing.

"-Hehe!"

"I genuinely thought you were bowled."

"So did our coach. So did Virat. So did India."

Both laughed again.

As they continued talking, Ellyse realized sothing unexpected.

Karuppu spoke about cricket very differently compared to many players she had t.

Less technical. More instinctive. Almost artistic.

When she asked how he handled pressure, he shrugged lightly.

"If you beco scared …your body becos slow."

Then casually added.

"I like making bowlers nervous first."

That answer sohow perfectly explained his batting.

anwhile across the hall…

Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja were currently busy chatting with two invited models near the drinks counter.

Virat wore a grin so confident it deserved separate sponsorship.

-Grin!

Jadeja anwhile laughed loudly at literally everything.

At one point Virat suddenly looked around casually.

"Where did Karuppu disappear?"

Jadeja turned too.

And imdiately both froze.

"...."

"...."

Because at the far end of the hall…

Karuppu now stood chatting comfortably with Ellyse Perry while both laughed naturally during conversation.

And the worst part? The vibe looked dangerously compatible already.

Virat slowly lowered his juice glass.

Jadeja stared blankly.

Then both turned toward each other with identical dead expressions.

Silence.

Finally Virat spoke softly.

"…This fellow is collecting international relations now."

Jadeja nodded slowly like a defeated philosopher.

-Nod!

"We are struggling locally. There he is expanding globally."

Virat sighed deeply feeling really irritated.

"God has favorites."

anwhile completely unaware of the emotional damage occurring nearby…

Karuppu and Ellyse continued chatting comfortably about cricket, travel, and sports life beneath the warm lights of the celebration hall.

Two young athletes.

Both balancing unusual careers.

Both understanding pressure differently from most people around them.

And sowhere nearby…

Virat Kohli silently decided life was unfair.

Days Passed...

Days passed after the Under-19 World Cup victory.

The young Indian squad slowly scattered back toward their own lives.

So returned to dostic cricket. So attended sponsor events.

So simply vanished into long overdue sleep after months of pressure.

anwhile Virat Kohli kept calling Karuppu occasionally only to complain about dia questions.

"Bro every interview they ask about your movie."

Karuppu sounded proud hearing that.

"National integration should be handled with care."

Virat disconnected imdiately.

"...."

Back in Chennai…

Karuppu threw himself directly into the promotion activities for:

AADHAVAN

The timing honestly couldn't have been more perfect.

After the World Cup heroics, his popularity had exploded far beyond what anyone originally predicted.

Now audiences were no longer curious rely because:

he was Sivakumar's son and brother of Suriya,

or because he played cricket,

or because he looked stylish in posters.

No.

Now people genuinely wanted to watch him perform.

That changed everything.

Inside Red Giant Movies offices, the atmosphere had beco extrely busy.

Post-production finished rapidly.

Television promotions increased daily.

Songs from the movie already started becoming popular:

"Yeno Yeno Panithuli"

"Maasi Maasi"

And the emotional tracks from Harris Jayaraj slowly climbed charts.

Even the dubbed versions surprisingly received decent response during promotions.

Encouraged by the growing nationwide curiosity, the production house eventually decided to add an English dub too.

Though the English release remained limited, the idea itself generated additional attention internationally because of Karuppu's cricket fa recently.

Still…

Despite all the buzz, the release strategy stayed sowhat cautious outside Tamil Nadu.

Because no matter how strong the hype beca…

This was still a debut hero film.

Producers didn't want overconfidence destroying distribution.

So overall:

Tamil Nadu got massive release support, while other states received controlled screen counts.

Total worldwide release:

Around 600 screens

Respectable.

But not monstrous.

Many trade analysts still remained careful in predictions.

So believed the movie might collapse under pressure because expectations had grown absurdly high after the World Cup.

Others argued that hype alone wouldn't save weak storytelling.

And honestly… Even inside the core team, nervousness existed now.

Because cricket victories ended in a day.

Cinema judgnt lasted forever.

After Four Months...

Then finally—Four months later—Release day arrived for the movie.

Early morning.

Tamil Nadu practically woke up noisy.

Massive cutouts stood outside theaters:

Karuppu holding sniper rifle, Karuppu in stylish black suit, Karuppu raising cricket bat beside movie posters.

Fans perford milk abhishekams before giant banners like he was already an established superstar but they had a circket banner of his final shot.

Showing they were his cricket fans who seems to risk printing a banner.

Drums echoed outside first-day-first-show theaters.

Firecrackers exploded.

All this were done by his elder brother Suriya's Fans who were showing their support for him.

But outside Tamil Nadu, reactions remained more controlled.

Curiosity existed. Not madness.

At least not yet.

Still, the theaters across major cities pulled decent crowds steadily.

Especially among:

cricket fans, younger audiences, and families curious about the "World Cup hero actor."

anwhile…

Red Giant Movies headquarters…

Conference Room...

Inside the conference room of Red Giant Movies headquarters… The core team sat waiting.

And the atmosphere there felt far more stressful than any cricket final.

Because now nobody could control the outco anymore.

Present inside the room:

K. S. Ravikumar, Udhayanidhi Stalin several distributors, assistant directors, marketing team mbers, and cast representatives.

Even Nayanthara sat quietly scrolling through early public reactions.

"...."

anwhile Karuppu surprisingly looked calm sitting at the far end with coffee in hand.

Too calm. Suspiciously calm.

At one point Udhayanidhi finally snapped.

"How are you relaxed?! This is your debut..."

Karuppu blinked hearing him.

-Blink!

"Movie already released."

"Exactly!"

"So tension won't change climax."

K.S. Ravikumar groaned hearing how fearless Karuppu was.

"This fellow's blood pressure doesn't work."

anwhile outside…

The first shows were nearing interval.

And social dia didn't truly exist strongly yet in 2008.

So the most dangerous things in cinema still remained:

phone calls, SMS reviews, television flashes, and public word-of-mouth.

aning one bad reaction could spread like wildfire within hours.

Inside the room, phones started ringing one by one.

Everyone imdiately turned each ti.

So calls sounded positive. So vague.

Nobody trusted anything fully yet.

Then suddenly—One distributor from Madurai called loudly through speaker mode accidentally.

Background noise exploded behind him.

Whistles. Screaming.

Theater chaos which was happening.

Then the man shouted excitedly like he had won a lottery.

"Interval block exploded here!"

"Crowd going mad!"

Instant relief spread slightly inside the room.

"...."

"...."

"...."

Another call ca from Coimbatore. Then Trichy. Then Salem.

Reports slowly started becoming consistent.

The cody scenes worked.

Songs worked.

Action sequences got whistles.

And most importantly—Karuppu's screen presence was landing hard with audiences.

Especially after the emotional reveal scenes and climax portions.

Finally one Chennai distributor simply laughed loudly over phone and said.

"-Haha!!!"

"Congratulations. You people created a monster."

For the first ti that day…

Even Karuppu's calm expression cracked slightly into a grin.

-Grin!

Because deep down…

He understood. This was only the beginning he wanted more.
