After A week...
A week later, the headquarters of Red Giant Movies looked unusually crowded from early morning itself.
Outside the building stood:
dia vans,
cara crews,
photographers,
assistant reporters,
And curious cinema fans had already gathered in heavy numbers.
Because by now, anything involving Karuppu automatically generated national-level attention.
Especially after:
Aadhavan's massive collections,
His U-19 World Cup heroics,
And the growing mystery surrounding his script choices.
The public had slowly started noticing one strange pattern about him.
He never followed predictable paths.
After delivering a gigantic comrcial blockbuster, most actors would normally:
sign safe mass entertainers,
Work with established directors,
And surround themselves with star-heavy casts.
Instead…
Karuppu sohow kept choosing:
Psychological horror,
And now another film from a completely new director.
Naturally, curiosity kept growing around him.
Inside the Red Giants office, preparations for the pooja function had already been completed.
The movie title banner stood at the center decorated with flowers:
SMS
(Siva Manasula Sakthi)
Several journalists quietly discussed the title among themselves.
So assud it was youth romance.
Others expected full cody entertainer.
Nobody yet fully understood the chaos hiding inside the script.
Around ten in the morning, the sound of caras suddenly intensified outside the entrance.
A black car slowly entered the premises.
Imdiately flashes exploded everywhere.
Karuppu had arrived finally.
The mont he stepped out of the car: wearing casual jeans, black shirt, cooling glasses,
And carrying the usual relaxed confidence, the photographers instantly began shouting nonstop.
"Sir look here!"
"Karuppu sir!"
"One photo sir!"
"Smile sir!"
Unlike many actors who either ignored dia completely or overperford before caras…
Karuppu simply moved naturally through the chaos with easy confidence.
He removed his cooling glasses briefly, gave a small smile toward the press, folded his hands politely once toward the gathered dia, and entered the building.
Inside the hall, the contrast compared to Aadhavan was imdiately noticeable.
This project looked much smaller. Much simpler.
There were no giant superstar faces surrounding the event except Karuppu.
No massive comrcial aura. No huge industry crowd.
Most of the crew mbers sitting there were almost completely unknown to the general public.
Which actually made the dia even more curious.
Because this was now becoming a habit with Karuppu.
He kept placing trust in newcors.
At the center of the gathering stood M. Rajesh.
The poor fellow looked both excited and terrified simultaneously.
This was his debut film.
And suddenly he was directing the hottest young star in the country.
Even now, Rajesh occasionally looked around the room like he still hadn't fully processed reality.
anwhile the cast itself remained surprisingly fresh-faced.
Outside of a few recognizable actors like Urvashi, who would be playing Siva's mother Kalyani…
Most of the team consisted of relatively lesser-known or erging faces.
And honestly…
That only increased industry curiosity further.
Because Karuppu clearly had the power now to demand:
Top heroines,
Major codians,
Huge supporting stars,
And expensive comrcial packaging.
Yet he continued choosing scripts over market safety.
Soon the pooja ceremony officially began.
Coconut was broken at the start.
Camphor flas burned softly.
Priests chanted mantras for the success of the movie.
The clapboard for the first shot was placed carefully before the deity photograph.
anwhile photographers aggressively captured every possible angle.
After the rituals finished, the press interaction naturally started almost imdiately.
Questions flew nonstop from every direction.
"Sir why debut director?"
"Is this a full cody film?"
"After Aadhavan why such a small-scale movie?"
"Will cricket affect your shooting schedules?"
"What about your upcoming IPL participation?"
Karuppu answered most questions casually while seated beside Udhayanidhi and Rajesh.
At one point, one journalist directly asked.
"Why are you repeatedly choosing unknown directors?"
Karuppu smiled slightly before answering calmly.
"Every big director was unknown once."
That line itself imdiately got written down by several reporters.
anwhile Rajesh sat nearby trying not to look overwheld while watching the dia attention surrounding his debut project.
Because until a few weeks ago…
He had been struggling to convince producers to even trust his climax.
Now national news channels were broadcasting his film pooja live.
Across Tamil Nadu and several other states, entertainnt channels quickly picked up the announcent.
Soon television tickers started running continuously:
"Karuppu joins hands with Red Giants again."
"New film titled SMS launched officially."
"Debut director M. Rajesh to direct Karuppu."
"Another fresh crew chosen by the young star."
And once again, discussions started everywhere.
Tea shops.
College campuses.
Online forums.
Cinema circles.
People began wondering a question:
What exactly was Karuppu trying to build?
Because his career no longer looked random anymore.
Slowly, a pattern was forming:
comrcial entertainer, psychological horror, tragic emotional drama according to the rumours around the industry, and now dark cody romance…
It felt like he was deliberately building range instead of image.
And sowhere inside the crowded pooja hall…
While journalists flashed caras nonstop around him…
Karuppu quietly looked at the SMS title banner once.
A small grin appeared on his face.
Because deep down…
He already knew this chaotic little love story was going to beco another turning point.
After the pooja rituals and the first round of press interactions ended, the atmosphere inside the Red Giants office slowly relaxed.
The earlier tension that had surrounded M. Rajesh gradually disappeared little by little.
Initially, the poor fellow had looked like soone attending governnt interview examination.
Every cara flash made him straighten automatically.
Every journalist question increased his blood pressure visibly.
But sitting between Karuppu, and Udhayanidhi Stalin slowly eased him.
"...."
Especially because both of them kept casually cracking jokes between discussions instead of maintaining heavy "cinema professionalism."
At one point Rajesh was explaining one cody scene excitedly while Karuppu instantly acted the entire thing out dramatically using nearby assistant director as unwilling demonstration actor.
Even Udhayanidhi nearly fell laughing.
The atmosphere around the table completely loosened afterward.
And honestly… That helped the newer artists too.
Because many of them were visibly nervous about working with Karuppu for the first ti.
After all, his public image now had beco massive:
World Cup-winning cricketer,
Pan-Indian rising actor,
Blockbuster hero, and dia sensation.
Naturally many expected arrogance.
Instead they found sobody behaving like college senior during culturals.
Soon one by one, the official cast introductions began properly.
The production team started bringing the actors toward Karuppu and Rajesh for formal introductions and crew photographs.
The first major introduction ca when veteran actress Urvashi stepped forward.
The mont Rajesh introduced her as Kalyani, Siva's mother in the film…
Karuppu imdiately stood up respectfully.
Without hesitation, he bent down and touched her feet politely.
The sudden gesture genuinely surprised Urvashi for a second.
Because by now many younger actors barely even stood up properly during introductions.
But Karuppu had grown up watching her performances.
And more importantly… He genuinely respected actors with strong versatility.
Urvashi herself was one of those rare actresses who could shift between: cody, emotional scenes, family drama, and natural realism effortlessly.
Karuppu smiled warmly.
"Your cody timing is dangerous, ma'am."
"I grew up watching your films."
Urvashi laughed softly and blessed him naturally.
"-Haha!"
"Stay grounded like this. You'll go very far."
Nearby photographers quickly captured the interaction because monts like this always spread positively through the industry.
Especially respect toward senior artists.
Soon after, Rajesh introduced the next important character.
"Siva's friend Vivek…"
The actor stepped forward grinning already before introduction even finished but one could see his nervousness.
It was none other than Santhanam.
At this point, Santhanam was already becoming widely recognized through:
cody side roles, television appearances, and especially through the cult popularity of Lollu Sabha and many cody small roles in movies.
The mont Karuppu saw him properly, his face lit up imdiately.
"Adei!"
"You're the fellow from Lollu Sabha!"
Santhanam instantly laughed loudly.
"-Haha!!!"
Karuppu shook his hand firmly while continuing excitedly.
"I've watched so many episodes. The spoof timing was too good."
That genuine appreciation visibly made Santhanam happy.
Because unlike film actors who casually praised for formality…
Karuppu clearly sounded like sobody who actually watched and enjoyed the content.
"Thank you sir,"
Santhanam replied honestly. Then with mock seriousness:
"So now if cody scene fails …I'll bla you only."
Imdiately Karuppu pointed toward Rajesh.
"No. Director sacrificial goat first. He is our divine shield."
The nearby crew burst out laughing.
Even Rajesh helplessly shook his head already realizing this shoot would definitely not stay peaceful.
Then finally ca the heroine introduction.
The assistant director guided her forward.
And the mont she stepped into the center area, several photographers imdiately focused their caras properly.
It was Tamannaah Bhatia.
After the massive success of Ayan, Tamannaah's popularity in Kollywood had risen sharply.
Offers had started flooding toward her from multiple production houses continuously.
Comrcial films.
Glamorous roles.
Big banners.
Safe projects.
But interestingly… She had rejected quite a few already after Ayan.
Because most of them felt repetitive.
Just songs and glamour without emotional importance.
Then four days earlier, she had heard the narration for SMS.
And what surprised her most was this: Shakthi was not simply "heroine."
She had equal emotional presence throughout the story.
The character argued. Manipulated. Loved. Hurt. Teased. Reacted.
Made mistakes.
The relationship itself moved because both characters constantly clashed equally.
And honestly… That excited her.
The second reason? Karuppu himself.
At this point, he had beco the hottest topic in the industry.
Everywhere people discussed him: cinema circles, cricket circles, dia panels, college campuses, trade discussions.
And unlike carefully manufactured stars…
His rise felt unpredictable and organic.
That made him interesting.
As Tamannaah stepped closer, Karuppu removed his cooling glasses casually and smiled.
"Hello. Officially eting finally."
Tamannaah smiled back politely.
Before she could properly introduce herself, Karuppu continued with completely straight face.
"I should warn you beforehand. This film hero is very chaotic."
For one confused second Tamannaah blinked.
Then realized he was referring to Siva himself.
She burst into laughter imdiately.
"-Haha!!!"
Nearby Santhanam joined too.
Rajesh sighed dramatically already.
-Sigh!
"Please don't improvise whole script outside itself."
But the ice had already broken naturally.
Tamannaah relaxed considerably after that.
Because one thing beca imdiately obvious:
Karuppu was extrely easygoing during personal interactions.
No unnecessary superiority.
No forced "star behavior."
Instead he joked continuously with: assistant directors, cara assistants, makeup artists, and co-stars without creating awkward distance.
And honestly…
That made him even more attractive socially.
He carried a naturally confident "bad boy" vibe.
But softened with humor and respect.
Which was dangerous combination.
Even Tamannaah quietly noticed how easily people around him relaxed within minutes.
anwhile photographers continuously captured:
cast introductions, smiling interactions, handshake monts, and the fresh new crew gathering together.
And slowly…
Inside that noisy pooja function filled with laughter, cara flashes, and new beginnings…
The strange chaotic world of SMS officially ca alive for the first ti.
