Chapter 139 – We are.

Kaden instinctively shuddered as his lips brushed against ris’s, and without even paying attention to it, he imdiately put distance between them.

His heart was beating fast. Extrely fast.

He was used to battle, to blood, even to death.

But this...

’Goddamn...!’ Kaden couldn’t help but think as he felt his heart racing at such speed that the rhythmic sound of it seed to almost echo through the garden.

ris raised her head and looked at him, amusent and mischievousness flickering in her silver eyes.

"Oho... is my Kaden the timid type?" she said with a teasing tone as she slowly but surely crawled toward him.

"Are you afraid of a girl? Did the Warborns never teach you anything in this matter?" ris asked, exceptionally liking the complicated emotions Kaden’s face was going through right now.

It was just too cute to see him this flustered—only because of their lips touching softly. It wasn’t even a full kiss.

"I wonder how you’ll do when I really kiss you," ris boldly said, her intentions and emotions laid bare in her voice and eyes.

She was not one to hide her feelings.

She would say to you directly what she wanted, what she felt.

And right now—

"I want to kiss you," she said with a smile, making Kaden’s heart beat even faster.

At that point, it honestly looked like his heart might snap from how violently it was pounding.

The poor guy was surely working overti right now.

’Calm down... I didn’t sign up for this, but I cannot cower,’ Kaden thought as he tried to steel his heart in the face of the dangerous temptation nad ris.

Because ris was truly dangerous—the way she crawled with such sensual grace, her silver eyes gleaming with unnatural glow and a love that was too blinding and too pure to be just love, her long purple hair flowing like liquid athyst behind her, and that dress clinging to her curves in a way that could make a man look twice just to thank the gods for their creativity.

Yes, she was stunning.

But beyond that beauty, she was simply hungry—hungry for love and affection, hungry for a kiss.

And her target was none other than the man who had never held a woman’s hand aside from his own family.

Truly pitiful.

But by now, Kaden was not soone who accepted being overwheld by new challenges.

He steeled his will.

And just at that mont, ris was right in front of him.

"Kade—!"

ris’s eyes widened in shock as she felt sothing press gently against her soft pink lips.

Kaden’s lips.

Before she even had ti to process it properly, Kaden was already kissing her, pulling her into a world of wonder and pleasure ris never believed could exist in this world.

Soon, she closed her eyes and let herself be transported into this new world—a world of pure ecstasy, where nothing else existed but her and Kaden.

And at that ti, it looked like the garden itself beca aware.

Night fell.

And the already fantastic sky was now filled with a countless number of stars that seed far too beautiful to belong in this wretched world.

The elental garden acted as a divine backdrop to this first kiss between two youngsters—the elental flowers glowing with eerie and srizing beauty, the air alive with sothing unseen but felt deep in the soul.

What a sight it was.

ris and Kaden were still locked in their kiss, losing themselves in this unexpected storm of emotion neither had known before.

Echoes of saliva clashing, tongues dancing and fighting for domination echoed faintly through the silent garden, testifying just how much they were evolving in real ti in their kissing abilities.

It was only after a couple of minutes that they finally broke apart, catching their breath.

Their foreheads leaned against each other, their eyes searching, their breaths mixing, and between them—a thin, shimring trail of saliva connected their mouths like a fragile thread of fate.

A small, loving smile appeared on ris’s lips,

"...You’re not so timid after all..." she said, her voice filled with imasurable warmth.

"It... was fantastic," she added softly, still feeling the lingering taste of Kaden’s lips.

Kaden, anwhile, was just looking at her, nodding slightly, his mind half here, half sowhere else.

He hadn’t quite expected himself to act like this.

To act this unhinged. To kiss ris.

But that kiss... that kiss helped him realize sothing.

’I truly fell for her... didn’t I?’

He still couldn’t quite believe it.

He thought he was just getting interested—that’s what he believed—but when he kissed her, what he felt was far more than what one should feel for soone they’re rely curious about.

So at that point, Kaden had no choice but to admit it.

To accept the truth.

ris had succeeded in making him fall for her.

He... loved ris.

A small smile appeared on his lips too, as he looked at her.

"Tell ... have you ever seen a woman who actively pursued a man and still didn’t succeed in having him?"

"Please tell no. Otherwise, I’ll start to feel like I’m quite an easy guy," Kaden said, his voice half serious, half sarcastic.

"Hahahahahah!!!" ris couldn’t stop herself—her head flung back as she laughed loudly and joyfully.

Her voice echoed through the garden like a farm goddess singing a lullaby to her sweet plants.

It was sweet, rich, and full of warmth.

"No..! I’ve never seen one, don’t worry!" she responded through her giggles as she gathered herself.

"But even if there was, how could anyone call my man an easy man?" ris added with a small laugh.

Kaden made a mock relieved sigh, as if a great burden had been lifted from his shoulders.

"Good to know," he said softly.

Then, a sudden but comfortable silence fell between them as they both faced the silver river in front of them.

This ti, they were holding hands. Lovingly.

No one spoke for over a minute—until suddenly, ris scoffed, pride blooming in her voice,

"I got your first kiss," she said with triumphant glee, as if she had just won a competition against an invisible rival.

Kaden wisely shut his mouth, choosing not to respond and instead turning to look at the silver river as if it had suddenly beco the most fascinating thing in the world.

A great decision, really.

Ti passed in that soft, warm silence, with ris now resting her head gently on Kaden’s shoulder.

It would soon be ti to go back... to return to the world.

But before that... ris needed one more thing. Or rather, one more confirmation.

"So now we are together?" she asked, her eyes still closed.

There was a beat of silence, then Kaden’s lips curled into a small smile.

"We are."
