Chapter 75 — I am.

The duel between Kaden and Kenan was over.

The crowd had already gone back to their lives.

So were thrilled—shouting, laughing, counting their winnings after betting on Kaden. Others were pissed off, muttering curses at their luck, at Kenan, even at fate itself.

But even as they walked off to their everyday grind...

They couldn’t shut up.

Couldn’t stop talking about that duel.

Couldn’t stop talking about the youngest Warborn who controlled blood.

Couldn’t stop talking about the youngest Warborn with his sword.

Couldn’t stop talking about... The Crimson Sword.

Kaden’s na didn’t just rise. It surged. Among the commoners, the adventurers, the low-level fighters—he beca a na you didn’t forget.

And it might’ve stayed just a street legend if he’d beaten a nobody.

But the one he beat wasn’t just anybody.

It was the heir of the FireBorn.

And so... the ones with power began to take notice.

And among them, naturally...

The FireBorn themselves.

...

FireBorn Estate – eting Room

The room was lavish. It was painted in black and orange, blended in such a wicked way it felt hypnotic. The walls were adorned with images of the sun. And below that burning sun, a hand of fire stretched out. It looked like it was begging. But it was nit quite accurate. It was...worshiping.

At the center of the room stood a massive table, ringed with chairs.

And at the head of that table sat a man.

He looked in his thirties. Hair like orange flas, eyes like twin voids. His beard was trimd, streaked with black and orange, giving him that perfect mix of wild and noble aura.

He wore a black suit. Plain but deadly.

Lewin FireBorn.

Kenan’s father.

And across from him sat his son—head lowered, sha heavy on his back.

Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.

Lewin’s finger kept tapping the armrest of his chair, in that soft, rhythmic way that sounded almost soothing.

But to Kenan, it was torture.

Three hours.

It had been three hours since he woke up.

And he’d woken up to this—his father, tapping that damned chair. Staring. Not saying a single word.

Just sitting. Watching. Waiting.

Kenan couldn’t take it anymore.

"F-Father—!"

"Kenan."

The na alone shut him up instantly.

"Kenan." Lewin said again, slower this ti.

Kenan straightened up, his voice shaky. "Y-Yes!"

"Tell , Kenan. Why?"

His voice was still soft. But the weight behind it... was terrifying.

"Why did you provoke the youngest Warborn into a duel?"

Kenan lowered his head even more.

He thought of lying. But lying to his father was suicide.

"I... I provoked him because I wanted ris’s attention," he said, reluctant.

Silence.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

More tapping.

Then finally—

"Didn’t Albert tell you to stop pursuing the Elamin heir?" Lewin asked.

"H-He did, Father."

"So now you’re ignoring my orders, Kenan?"

He didn’t wait.

"You’re ignoring my orders?"

This ti his voice wasn’t soft.

It ca with pressure. Heavy. Crippling.

Kenan gasped.

His face flushed, hands twitching, chest tightening. His eyes beca red instantly. He couldn’t breathe.

He felt like he was about to pass out...

"You’re going too hard, Lewin."

A sharp, feminine but powerful voice echoed through the room—and just like that, the pressure vanished.

Cough. Cough. Cough.

Kenan coughed hard, sucking in air like it was the first ti he’d ever breathed.

And then he looked up—

She was there.

A woman of striking beauty. Long, flowing black hair. Eyes like black fire. Curves sculpted to destroy nations.

Inola FireBorn. His mother.

She walked toward him with warm eyes and pulled him into a hug.

Kenan didn’t even try to hold it in. His eyes teared up, and he clung to her like a drowning man.

No matter how much she scolded him—she was never harsh.

She was warmth. She was softness.

She only wanted one thing.

For him to carry the FireBorn na.

To be better.

To shoulder what he was born into.

Sothing he’d run from because he knew how heavy it truly was.

But now...

"Inola," Lewin growled, "how many tis do I have to tell you—stop babying him. Stop being soft. Look what it led to. He provoked a Warborn because of a girl."

Lewin’s voice was iron.

"Do you know the sha that brings to our na? Do you even understand the damage this causes?"

Inola just smiled gently, not blinking at his fury.

"Who dares?" she said. "Let them talk behind our backs. That’s all they ever do. But if soone says one word about my son to my face..."

She turned and looked directly at Lewin.

"Then let them co. Let them tell if their child awakened a budding intent at fifteen."

She tilted her head, smiling.

"Let Kenan be. He made a mistake. But he’s learned sothing from it. I believe now he’ll act according to his status... right, my son?"

She looked down at him.

Kenan nodded, firm this ti. "Yes, Mother."

"And about the Elamin heir..." she added with a teasing smile.

"You love her that much?"

Kenan’s ears turned red. He gave a small nod.

Inola smiled again. She found him adorable.

"If you love soone, you don’t force yourself on them, baby. You also have to accept their choice. Understand?"

"Yes," he muttered softly, his head lowered.

"Now go rest. Later you’ll train again. You need to stabilize your budding intent and then push it to full intent. After that you will take the evolution quest."

Kenan stood, bowed slightly to his still-frowning father, and left the room quickly.

Once he was gone—

Lewin sighed.

"Inola... you’re too soft."

"I know," she said.

"But forget about that for now."

She stepped closer.

"A Warborn is here, Lewin. Most likely Dain’s little brother."

She t his eyes, her expression deadly serious.

"And you know what that ans."

Lewin nodded slowly.

"I know. It’s ti to put our plan into motion and for to keep my word."

He frowned again, his fingers flexing.

"But how the hell do we approach him after what our idiot son pulled?"

Inola shrugged casually.

"How else? He’s a Warborn. He must be curious about Dain’s whereabouts."

She stepped forward and sat on his lap, eyes locking onto his lovingly.

"You sure you’re ready for this...? This act can doom all of us..."

Lewin didn’t hesitate.

His black eyes locked calmly into hers.

Then with a calm and steady voice...

"I am."
