To step into the Chaos Spirit Realm, all warrior has to awaken the Spirit of Chaos. Actually, the term "awaken the spirit of chaos" is wrong.
Because, whenever someone breaks through and steps into the Chaos Spirit Realm, the Spirit of Chaos takes out a strand of energy from its origin and lets it enter the new Chaos Spirit Realm warrior. That is to let that strand of energy, which is generally called the Spirit of Chaos by warriors, bee familiar with the warrior's body. And after going through the Three Stages of Spirit Fusion, the strand of energy fuses with the warrior pletely, enabling them able to sense the Rules of Chaos that also exist in Chaos's Origin.
Why does the Spirit of Chaos do that?
It is because as long as a warrior fuses the strand of energy from the Spirit of Chaos with their body, they could never go against the Chaos even after being an almighty being that has the strength to threaten the very existence of Chaos itself.
One could understand in another simple term.
Let's say, the strand of energy from the Spirit of Chaos is a slave imprint that fuses in the body and soul of warriors, enslaving them. And their master is Chaos.
How could a slave dare to go against its master?
If someone dared, they would die with just a single thought from the Spirit of Chaos.
Now, the question was, why did Ye Xiao decide to break the seal of the universe after going through the Three Stages of Spirit Fusion and stepping into the Chaos SPirit Saint Realm?
It is because, for the very first time, the Lotus of Chaos contacted him.
The Lotus of Chaos told Ye Xiao everything and explained why the universe was sealed by it in the first place.
It is because as long as Ye Xiao goes through the Three Stages of Spirit Fusion, if the universe is not sealed, even his universe will e under the rules of Chaos and will be controlled by Chaos.
Although Chaos will not do anything as long as Ye Xiao does not go against it, however, if Ye Xiao really took that action, he would have no way of retaliating the Chaos and will die almost immediately.
The Chaos is pletely different from a Source Universe like the Heavens. Even if Ye Xiao wants to, as long as he fuses with the strand of energy originating from the Spirit of Chaos, he could not go against Chaos no matter how hard he tries.
