Chapter 1926: Chapter 1597: Let’s Duel

Joe Ga didn’t continue talking with the old Rothschild; instead, he sat beside him, quietly observing the surroundings, blocking the old Bayer’s convoy inside The Regent’s Park for a full two hours…

This feud has been settled!

However, Joe Ga wasn’t nervous at all; he even felt a peculiar clarity.

A gentleman’s agreent was reached!

It ans neither of us should trouble each other, wasting ti and effort…

Let’s settle it with one decisive battle!

If Joe Ga loses, of course, everything is over, but as long as he wins, it ans he has firmly stepped into the top echelon of power.

Moreover, unless he does sothing against humanity, or if there’s a huge issue with his strategic route, he won’t fall out of this realm because of the opinion of one or a few people.

Actually, Joe Ga has many ways to continue wearing them down, and he’s very likely to wait until they quickly fade, while also seizing the chance to feast on their territory when their strength wanes.

But as a multinational military group without a nation’s backing, the problems to face after going all-in are too nurous and too large.

Once the other side goes all out, Joe Ga would beco a firefighter, P·B’s work will definitely stall, and that’s just one aspect…

A prolonged standoff is very likely to cause a split in the company’s reputation, and that’s what worries Joe Ga.

Joe Ga has never wanted to destroy the existing systems and rules; he targets the malignant parts within them.

If, because of the prolonged standoff with those people, he is pushed to oppose the current political correctness, then the efforts he has made in the past will be discounted.

Joe Ga’s ideal is not to beco one of those people, or even to seize the power in their hands.

For the things they care about, engaging in endless entanglent with them seems utterly pointless to the current Joe Ga.

So Joe Ga resolves firmly, even if it ans putting himself in, to end this aningless consumption and let P·B go forward unburdened to do what they must.

There was nothing unusual about the conversation with the old Rothschild, but it made Joe Ga more determined in his ideas and path.

Old Rothschild said Joe Ga is an idealist, and that’s not wrong…

But Joe Ga knows clearly that he is an idealist within the frawork of Western rules, his role is naturally that of a challenger.

The negative effects of neoliberalism amplify Joe Ga’s role as an idealist, and the two are absolutely incompatible!

The conditions offered by the old Rothschild are very tempting, but a surrendered idealist is worthless…

It’s a huge tragedy when a dragon-slaying youth becos an evil dragon!

If Che Guevara hadn’t died on the path of ideals, the greatness that influenced generations wouldn’t exist!

The difference between Joe Ga and Guevara is that Guevara hoped to overthrow all Western systems, while Joe Ga seeks to “correct errors” within the Western-established system.

Joe Ga does not tread the path of grand narratives; he never thought of overthrowing the existing system because the price needs everyone to bear, and no one knows if the final result will be good or bad.

The old Rothschild has a keen eye, he saw Joe Ga’s value at a glance and wanted him to join the Lake Belga Foundation…

If an idealist becos a leader, they can effectively offset the greed of those in the foundation; maybe they can guide it down another path instead of being driven relentlessly by greed…

Both sides have completely different personalities, values, philosophies, and action habits, but there’s one point they both recognize.

That is, the rules of neoliberalism that conform to human nature are nearing their peak!

The law of rise and decline in ancient tis might have required one to two hundred years, but in the modern era of advanced productivity, this ti has been shortened.

The greed spawned by lust for power and consurism is like fuel, propelling the train of neoliberalism to full speed…

And the faster it goes, the worse the crash outco!

Old Rothschild saw this, but he has clearly already lost control over the ‘train’…

His final blessing to Joe Ga didn’t sound like pleasantries!

Joe Ga feels that a split might already have occurred within the Lake Belga Foundation, a divide between the rational older generation and the radical middle-aged generation.

The governntal intervention policy direction stated in the New Washington Declaration was their effort and compromise under external pressure, but it can’t resolve the core contradictions.

Decades of high-speed developnt and propaganda brainwashing have ensnared too many individuals, organizations, and even countries, and no one is willing to give up the benefits in hand.

The internal affairs of the Lake Belga Foundation originally had nothing to do with Joe Ga, but the mont P·B reached a scale that demanded everyone’s attention, it beca inevitable to get entangled in conflict.

Joe Ga doesn’t want to waste ti on such aningless conflicts; P·B can do many aningful things. The honors Joe Ga promised to his buddies are on those aningful things!

Joe Ga is confident in winning!

If he still loses while holding the initiative, then fully retreating to Africa, guarding his ideals in a place that won’t be swept into war, and waiting for the grand change to unfold isn’t bad either.

The aning of the gentleman’s agreent lies in both sides using relatively restrained ans to engage in a decisive battle, minimizing the impact, both sides refraining from revenge actions afterward, and the other side being even less likely to fra Joe Ga on the Nord Stream issue.

Joe Ga’s strategic purpose has been achieved. It seed like he might have shortchanged himself, but in reality, he was exchanging ti for space, gaining plenty of maneuverability. No matter how you look at it, he ca out ahead!

He personally sent off the old Rothschild to his car, watched the old man depart, then waved to the convoy stuck in the park before signaling the dic Bird to drive out of the north gate of The Regent’s Park…

Old Bayer had been stuck in the park for nearly two hours. Forget about the eting with the Pri Minister of England, Telas; he’d probably even be late for the condolence ceremony.

This slap was truly resounding…

……………

Westminster Cathedral…

The attendees were being seated under the guidance of the attendants.

Westminster Cathedral is huge, but the number of mourners exceeded the capacity, so the pews were replaced with simple black folding chairs—and even then there wasn’t enough seating…

The British governnt and the Royal Family had so miscommunication, leading to a guest list beyond expectations.

The Royal Family’s butler, like a cat on a hot tin roof, was scurrying to find extra chairs to accommodate the unexpected guests.

The restless Igor had two cat-scratch-like marks on his face and sat on the temporary fourth row of folding chairs set up in the cathedral…

Looking at the little girl making faces at him from the front row, Igor farted in anger, then turned to the disgusted Briella beside him and said, “You promised to hit people, why are you acting like this?”

Briella, with the poise of a swan, straightened her chest and nodded to the Archbishop greeting her parents to fully display her upbringing. She then glanced sideways at Igor and said, “I was planning to hit the Spaniards. Why did you provoke Charlotte? His great-grandmother just passed away…”

Igor turned to look at the girl in the front row and frowned, “White, brown hair, black dress, white socks—where did I go wrong?”

Briella rolled her eyes, pressing down on Igor’s head, directing his attention to the left…

“There are at least 10 girls like that here, you fool…”

Igor pushed Briella’s hand away, slightly irritated, and said, “How much longer will this take? I’m suffocating here…

What should I do to get that old priest to throw out?”

Upon hearing this, Briella covered Igor’s mouth in terror, and then awkwardly smiled at the Archbishop, whose expression was a bit odd…

“Sorry, Archbishop Canterbore…”

The elegantly dressed Archbishop nodded with a smile, glanced at the restless Igor, and asked with a chuckle, “Are you the son of Knight Joe?”

Hearing his father ntioned, Igor was taken aback for a mont before standing up honestly and nodding, “Yes, my father is George Pas, but everyone usually calls him Hu Lang or Knight Joe…”

The Archbishop, intrigued, looked at the feisty Igor and chuckled, “So you’re the legendary ‘Demon Child’ Igor…”

The Archbishop’s slightly aggressive words made Nis, next to him, frown. Just as she was about to speak, Igor nonchalantly said, “I heard it was that old man from India who gave that nickna, and I don’t really like it…”

“Oh? Why not?”

Igor clearly didn’t want to engage with the Archbishop further, responding sowhat curtly, “Because that nickna makes sound like a child. I’m a soldier!”

The Archbishop shook his head slightly and said, “This has nothing to do with whether you’re a child. Child, God teaches us to face others with kindness. Reckless slaughter will only bring misfortune…”

Igor frowned at the Archbishop before him, sensing that this old man wasn’t saying anything good, especially since Albert II and Princess Charlene’s expressions had soured—and his mother was already standing up…

Just as the atmosphere grew tense, Joe Ga’s tall figure appeared from inside the cathedral…

The guide solemnly led Joe Ga and Kitten to their seats, not even pausing to take stock of the odd atmosphere around them, then turned to stride towards Claverley, standing to the right of the chapel…

Joe Ga’s conversation with Chauvin was overheard clearly by the guide, and he had to report the news to Claverley, the real Royal Family steward.

Joe Ga, appearing as if late to a movie screening, apologized all the way while squeezing in from the left with Kitten.

Arriving beside Nis and sensing the strange mood, Joe Ga pushed Igor, who was stretching his neck, back into his seat and asked, “What happened?”

Igor pressed his lips, spread his hands, and said, “This old priest said I should face the world with kindness, claiming excessive violence will lead to misfortune…

I don’t even know what he’s talking about?”

Joe Ga frowned at the gorgeously dressed Archbishop, shaking his head as he said, “Your Excellency, I think you’ve misunderstood. Violence won’t bring us misfortune because we are ‘misfortune’ itself.”

As he spoke, Joe Ga noticed a few n hurrying in from the cathedral’s main entrance, and he smiled, saying, “If you want to critique violence, go there.

The President of the United States is expected to arrive soon. He surely ets your so-called standards of violence.

If you say to him what you said to my son, I’ll apologize for my current attitude to you…

If you don’t, I’ll assu you’re in league with him…

Vampires have no right to lecture my son!”
