Chapter 956: Chapter 859: The Winds Rise and the Clouds Swell in Africa

P·B encountered a bit of trouble in Africa, but the main issue was the shortage of manpower.

The Middle East business took up too much of Boss Joe’s energy, and together with the investnts in Arica, almost all the special operations teams were called away.

The newly recruited Colombians and Bolivians seed to have so difficulties adjusting to the new environnt.

The main problem was not their combat capabilities but the lack of ti to integrate them properly, coupled with the overextension of P·B’s business operations over the past year, which led to a shortage of personnel.

The most crucial issue was that Boss Joe’s provocations against terrorists in Syria, while generating massive traffics, also led to global terrorists seizing the spotlight.

In other places, it had nothing to do with Boss Joe, but the resurgence of terrorist activity in Africa put pressure on P·B.

The situation in Liberia was still relatively good, as the mbers of the base organization knew to pick on the weak, so it was the people of the National Unity Governnt who were unlucky.

As Boss Joe’s plans in Syria were winding down, Hasan returning to Tubruq and ‘Gunfire’ quickly stabilized the situation.

It was ‘Jackal’ who ca all the way from Arica that didn’t get to work with Boss Joe for even a day and ended up being left in Syria.

He was Russian, and the base happened to be located on the border between the Syrian Governnt Forces and the Kurdish people.

Boss Joe left him a team of Xiao Hei and a team of Kurdish Militia and authorized him to recruit a group of good Russian hands; then he washed his hands off the matter.

Indeed, Joe Ga couldn’t handle it because too many things had happened, and he was too busy!

The traffic led by Boss Joe caused the Africa terrorist organizations influenced by ISIS ideology and behavior to erupt collectively for a while.

In essence, this had nothing to do with him, but the reality was that P·B in distant Africa was affected.

Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria beca disaster zones.

The resurgence of Boko Haram, the frenzy of the ‘Maghreb Base Organization,’ and the brutality of ‘Al-Shabaab’ frequently orchestrated terrorist attacks.

But Africa was just too isolated…

During this period of massive traffic, Africa suffered more than a dozen large-scale attacks in a few months, with over a thousand casualties, yet it failed to elicit much international concern.

It seed these countries were used to it!

Facing rampant terrorists, so chose to resist, others to negotiate, while so simply turned a blind eye.

But no one expected that besides those directly affected nations, the ones that were hit hardest by the terrorism spree in Africa were ironically France and Arica, and the one with the most problems turned out to be P·B…

The French forces entrenched in Mali suffered consecutive attacks, and after multiple futile calls for help, to suppress the montum of the ‘Maghreb Base Organization,’ they bravely left their base to engage in battle, only to encounter a preditated ambush.

What happened to the French had nothing to do with Joe Ga, but the attack on the United State. Military Base in Niger did concern him.

The Rangers stationed in Niger, while on a routine patrol with the local security forces, were ambushed; four of them were killed and only two managed to survive by hiding in the bushes.

A few P·B cooks happened to pass by in a vehicle and saved the lives of those two unlucky souls.

After the incident, the White House didn’t express any concern about the soldiers’ casualties. Instead, they dispatched a transport plane hastily to recall all the rangers stationed in Niger back ho, leaving an empty base for the puzzled P·B support staff of Xiao Hei.

Unsure of what to do next, they called Boss Joe, who was also at a loss.

He had already collected next year’s fees and sent the ‘hardship pay’ to so mysterious people. If they withdrew now, the Aricans would ask for a refund, which would an a loss for him.

The Nigerien Minister of Defense was good friends with Boss Joe; the two had cooperated to strike a devastating blow to Boko Haram. Now that Boko Haram was making a resurgence, he wanted P·B’s powerful support to suppress them again.

Naturally, he was unwilling to let P·B’s people go!

So, two Colombian special operations teams, which had been adapting to the jungle in Central African Congo, were sent to the desert to replace the Rangers.

They took over the United State Military Base in Niger, and the Pentagon turned a blind eye, rely sending a letter stating that they could temporarily lend the base to P·B.

If these incidents were just a bit troubleso, then the renewed conflict between North and South SD was utterly unreasonable.

Ad-Damazin, the hotown of Boss Joe’s rise to fortune, was in the line of fire, facing not only the influx of refugees from the prolonged internal conflict in Ethiopia but also harassnt from North and South SD military forces.

And that was not all. Several big Chinese enterprises, probably with no proper expectation of the SD civil war, threw their staff into Ad-Damazin Resort by car, leaving behind a hefty sum of US Dollars, hoping to weather the storm as the resort’s expenses were cheaper than plane tickets.

Then things went beyond their expectations as North and South SD quickly escalated the war into a no-holds-barred conflict.

Under imnse pressure, Sayram resolutely refused Eric’s Angel’s attempt to drive away the military from both sides and decided to call P·B for help.

Subsequently, a Bolivian special forces squad and a 50-man Xiao Hei team were dispatched there.

The incidents around the globe drained all of P·B’s special operations teams…

And then chaos erupted in South Kivu Province of Congo…

President Kabila of Congo, wishing to extend his term, aid to achieve credit by taking over South Kivu Province. Eager for quick success, he attempted to replicate P·B’s success in North Kivu.

He faced stiff resistance upon entry, and then warlords from South Kivu Province retaliated with random attacks in response.

Then, whether due to deliberate instigation or so other reasons, the opposition took to the streets of Kinshasa, leading to large-scale violent conflicts.

Subsequently, the unfortunate President drew 500 soldiers trained by P·B from North Kivu Province, and as a result, the neighboring North Kivu also began to face a manpower crunch.

These ssy incidents, however, did not affect the security situation around Sangha Town.

Even though most of the manpower was drawn away to provide assistance elsewhere, the periphery of Sangha Town remained as secure as a fortress.

Due to factors such as transportation and communication barriers, even if sothing were to happen in Central Africa, it would take a long ti for it to escalate.

Joe Ga wasn’t worried about Central African security issues, not even that he couldn’t handle the situation…

He felt that putting so pressure on President Kabila of Congo would be more advantageous for promoting reforms in North Kivu and South Kivu Provinces.

But nobody expected that Sangha Town, which had been as stable as Mount Tai, would eventually run into trouble.

It wasn’t because of rcenaries, warlords, guerrilla squads, or anything of the like, but because of the ‘Zika virus’.

The sanitary standards of Sangha Town were among the highest in Central Africa, yet the sudden outbreak of the ‘Zika virus’ easily breached the town’s dical system.

The virus was sowhat like ‘Dengue fever,’ spreading the disease through mosquitoes.

Symptoms in the infected included fever, conjunctivitis, and body aches; with the right dication to alleviate symptoms, one could expect to recover after a week.

At first, nobody took it seriously; Africa people, accustod to poverty, had already learned to face diseases head-on. Besides, Sangha Town Hospital had a substantial stock of dicine. Other than the hospital queuing up every day and the factories’ efficiency dropping significantly due to sick workers, it didn’t cause too much trouble…

But when a similar epidemic broke out in the area of Yamako in Congo, and a group of strange individuals began to haunt the peripheries of the P·B-controlled jungles, causing attacks that killed two P·B guards, Nis and Karman on guard duty realized sothing was wrong.

The virus is impartial to all, unless one is vaccinated in advance.

The P·B soldiers stationed near the jungle around Yamako were also falling ill in large numbers, inevitably leading to a significant decrease in combat effectiveness.

Facing the enemy’s unceasing harassnt, Karman had no choice but to send two veteran jungle fighters, ‘Silt’ and ‘Tree Demon,’ with 30 anteaters and a large batch of dicine to their aid.

Joe Ga, far away in Iraq, instantly sensed sothing was amiss, so he sent over several fighter jets, the Night Tiger, and a commissioned squadron.

Joe Ga had a premonition that the enemies near Yamako were precisely those the Night Tiger was looking for.

Organizing the departure of the Night Tiger and his team was just the beginning; Joe Ga would gradually withdraw the special forces from the Iraqi battlefield…

The B, D, and E teams were making their final preparations. Once the transport plane returned, they would board it to head towards Liberia and then secretly return to Sangha Town in groups via land.

As for the remaining five permanent T1 mbers, with the exception of ‘Goat’ and ‘Hamr’ who needed to stay behind to assist in training the soldiers in the safe zone, the rest would depart with the main force once the situation in Iraq was firmly in hand.

Without them, P·B, with only artillery and the common soldiers of Xiao Hei, might not be able to control the situation.

Joe Ga estimated that Mosul could be taken within 15 days given the current situation.

He had to use these 15 days to consolidate and downsize Iraq’s resources, dealing with anything that needed to be abandoned or transferred.

Through interest transfer and cost shifting, handing over the retail logistics to the local Iraqis, refining a wholesale materials channel would be sufficient.

……

While Mr. Qiao was concentrating on his affairs, a financial blockade battle broke out in the futures market.

Rashiri’s interest group gathered over 400 million dollars, hoping to manipulate oil prices for profit by releasing favorable news about Iraq.

Just as Donahue’s campaign was advancing triumphantly, the Arican Governnt praised the current situation in Iraq.

The governnt also promised to allocate a portion of funds to help Iraq rebuild, hoping Iraq would fulfill its responsibility in stabilizing international oil prices.

The Iraqi Governnt certainly had to respond, imdiately holding a press conference to ensure they would fully guarantee oil exports and gradually increase production.

Everything seed fine…

Good news was released, and as Rashiri and his allies awaited the drop in crude oil futures prices due to increased Iraqi production to make a profit…

A wave of ISIS remnants launched terrorist attacks on oil fields near Baghdad and Basra.

The explosions resulted in damage to several buildings and warehouses, prompting China’s energy company to imdiately halt operations, waiting for the outco of the Iraqi Governnt’s investigation and vowing to resu work only after confirming safety.

Since China owned a third of the oil field extraction rights in southern Iraq, the mont they announced an indefinite halt to operations, international crude oil futures prices soared.

Rashiri and his associates, who had taken high-leveraged short positions, saw most of their bets wiped out.

As the election entered its final month, Rashiri’s campaign fund ran dry.

Arica, being such a rcantilist society, cut back on Rashiri’s dia resources instantly when the money dried up and several private cocktail parties were halted due to financial issues.

Aaron, sitting in prison, listened to Madeline’s excited voice on the phone. He held back his own thrill and spoke in a calm voice, “Tell Amal to pull out from Mali to London to monitor the fund transfer, and by the way, tell Boko Haram that I can settle our accounts with them.”

After finishing his call, Aaron touched his nose, trying hard to suppress his ecstasy, hung up the phone, and lay down on the bed, staring at the narrow window opposite…

A few minutes later, unable to contain his excitent, Aaron sat up and climbed onto his wheelchair with difficulty, rolled to the cell door, and started banging on the iron door, shouting, “Clear out the dining hall, I want to treat everyone in the prison to steaks, the finest…”

Amid this, Aaron, like a child, spun his wheelchair around the cell, saying happily, “FUCK, money is so easy to earn!

200 million US dollars, an international interdiary company, that’s enough, that’s enough…”
