The figure was enormous, over twice the height of an average person, and covered with black fur. Two massive tusks protruded from its mouth, gleaming coldly in the darkness. The surrounding air seed to grow colder due to the presence of this creature, as a chill surged from the soles of their feet to their hearts.
Shi Feiyang was shocked, never having seen such a bizarre creature.
He quickly shielded Gong Sing behind him, whispering, "Be careful, this thing won’t be easy to handle."
The creature seed to notice their presence too, letting out a roar and charging at them fiercely.
Shi Feiyang swung the Myanmar Saber, slashing at the creature. The blade collided with its fur, making a loud "clang," but only left a shallow scratch on its body.
Enraged, the creature wildly swung its gigantic claws, each swipe bringing a strong gust of wind, carrying a rancid stench that made people nauseous.
Shi Feiyang and Gong Sing dodged left and right, doing their best to avoid the creature’s attacks.
Amidst the fierce battle, Shi Feiyang noticed that the creature’s abdon seed to be its weak point.
Spotting an opportunity, he charged forward with a swift step, using all his strength to stab the Myanmar Saber into the creature’s abdon.
The creature let out a miserable scream, staggered a few tis, and finally fell to the ground with a crash.
Shi Feiyang and Gong Sing both breathed a sigh of relief, collapsing tiredly to the ground, yet their hearts were filled with doubt.
What on earth was this creature? Why did it appear in this mysterious dark passage?
Before they could catch their breath, the ground of the cave suddenly began to shake violently, cracks rapidly spreading across the surface, making a "crack, crack" sound, as though the ground was being torn apart.
Shi Feiyang and Gong Sing quickly stood up, watching their surroundings warily.
Mysterious symbols slowly appeared on the cave walls, flickering with strange light, responding to the symbols on the pillars they saw earlier. With each flicker, an intangible pressure seed to intensify, making it hard for them to breathe.
As the light flickered, a deep rumble ca from the depths of the cave, as if sothing enormous was awakening.
The rumble grew louder, like rolling thunder exploding in their ears, causing their eardrums to ache.
Shi Feiyang and Gong Sing exchanged a glance and decided to continue their exploration. Following the guidance of the light, they arrived before a giant stone door. The door was covered with intricate patterns, seemingly telling an ancient story.
The temperature around them seed to have dropped a few more degrees, and their breath instantly turned into white mist.
Shi Feiyang and Gong Sing carefully studied the patterns on the stone door, trying to find a way to open it.
At that mont, Shi Feiyang suddenly rembered the token they had taken from the body of one of the black-clad n. He took out the token and placed it in a recessed area on the stone door. Miraculously, the stone door began to open slowly, and an ancient and mysterious aura overwheld them.
The breath carried the marks of ti and unknown fear, making their hearts race.
They cautiously entered through the stone door and found themselves in a large stone chamber.
In the center of the chamber was a large stone coffin, which was also covered in mysterious symbols.
Shi Feiyang and Gong Sing slowly approached the stone coffin, filled with curiosity and anxiety. They didn’t know what secrets lay inside, but they knew that this secret might completely alter their understanding of the Jianghu.
The stone chamber was eerily quiet, with only the soft sound of their footsteps echoing in the empty space, each step like a note on the strings of fate, about to play an unknown lody.
With quick reflexes, Shi Feiyang pulled Gong Sing behind him, his actions crisp and decisive, a natural protective instinct. His voice was low and firm, carrying undeniable power, "If there’s danger, you must run."
Just as he finished speaking, his aura suddenly changed, activating the Bright Jade Technique, enveloping him in a thin layer of white mist that exuded a biting cold, capable of freezing the surrounding air.
Shi Feiyang tightly gripped the Myanmar Saber in his hand, the blade glinting coldly in the dim light, like an icy serpent ready to strike at any mont. He then exerted force, prying the saber into the seam of the stone coffin, muscles taut and veins bulging, and with a firm jerk, a "creak" sounded as the stone coffin slowly opened, releasing a rush of ancient and mysterious air.
Having pried it open, Shi Feiyang swiftly retreated two steps, knees slightly bent, assuming a defensive stance with the saber held horizontally in front, eyes sharp and vigilant. However, when the stone coffin opened, it was empty, devoid of the expected treasures or mysterious scrolls, with only a silent darkness inside.
Upon seeing this, Gong Sing quickly stepped forward, eyes full of surprise, exclaiming, "An empty stone coffin! Huh, there’s nothing! We’ve been busy for nothing."
Shi Feiyang nodded, his lips curving into a confident smile, saying, "If our adventures were that easy, wouldn’t that make us useless? The tougher the secret to unravel, the more it shows our wisdom."
Gong Sing giggled at his words, her smile as bright and enchanting as flowers blooming in spring. She nodded slightly, her eyes filled with trust and devotion to Shi Feiyang.
The two decided to explore outside.
They arrived outside the Qingfeng Sword Sect, the moonlight like water, casting its glow on this land filled with mystery and danger.
Suddenly, a giant scarlet bird burst into their view, circling in the sky with its massive wings, making a "whoosh, whoosh" sound, as if it could stir up a miniature storm.
In its claws, it held a person, who was one of the black-clad n from earlier.
The bird was extraordinarily large, beyond imagination, its feathers gleaming with an eerie luster. Under the moonlight, it resembled a flowing river of darkness, appearing especially sinister. Its eyes held a bloodthirsty gleam, like burning blood-red flas, and its piercing cries tore through the night, making one’s heart skip a beat. Terrified, the black-clad n scattered in all directions, their panicked footsteps strikingly urgent in the quiet night.
The scarlet bird suddenly swooped down towards Shi Feiyang and Gong Sing, its speed as swift as lightning, stirring up a fierce whirlwind, as if a tempest had arisen, rustling the surrounding trees and causing leaves to fall.
Shi Feiyang swiftly pulled Gong Sing aside to avoid it, his movents agile like a leopard. At the sa ti, he quickly drew the Myanmar Saber, the blade’s cold light sweeping a sharp arc in the moonlight, slashing at the bird.
The bird dexterously avoided the attack, gracefully twisting its body in the air, circling back to launch another attack on Gong Sing and Shi Feiyang, its eyes flashing with fierce determination, having already deed them prey.
During the skirmish with the bird, Shi Feiyang keenly sensed that it seed to be under so form of control, its attacks chaotic yet exceptionally fierce, each strike carrying a powerful impact.
More perplexing was that whenever the bird approached, the token Shi Feiyang had taken from the black-clad man would slightly heat up, as if awakened by the bird’s presence, seeming to have so mysterious connection with this enigmatic bird.
Just as the bird charged again, the token suddenly emitted a blinding light, like a small sun, illuminating the entire night sky. The bird seed greatly frightened, releasing a shrill wail filled with terror and pain.
Its body trembled violently in the air, then turned and flew far away, quickly vanishing into the night, leaving only a gradually fading shadow.
