After the dog training journey ended, Lin Yu'an's main focus returned to the gigantic log cabin that stood in the forest.
After a busy day, Lin Yu'an carefully washed his face, changed into a clean T-shirt, and then sat at the temporarily set-up wooden table.
Just as he was taking a break and preparing to tidy up the cabin, his satellite phone rang unexpectedly.
"Hello, is this Mr. Yu Anlin?" A lively male voice with a standard Arican accent ca from the other end of the call.
"Yes, it's ." Lin Yu'an wiped his hands, a bit puzzled.
"Great! Lin, it's Mark, how have you been, buddy?"
Hearing this na, a hint of a smile played on Lin Yu'an's lips. Of course, he rembered Mark Johnson, the producer of the show "Alone in the Wilderness."
"Mark, I'm doing well. And you? Still in that concrete jungle of New York?" Lin Yu'an leaned against the window, teasing lightly.
"Haha, can't help it, soone needs to sit in the office so that the stories of you tough wilderness guys can be seen by the world."
Mark laughed heartily, his voice carrying the familiarity of an old friend.
"I've watched the first batch of clips from 'Life Below Zero,' they were absolutely amazing! Your life in Alaska is even more exciting than I imagined!"
"Honestly, the stories of you and those neighbors have the potential to beco the next legend!"
"Thanks, we're just living our lives."
"By the way, how are you feeling now? I an, it's been almost half a year since you started recording 'Life Below Zero,' are you still adapting alright?" Mark asked with concern.
"Everything's great, thanks for introducing to Richard back then."
Lin Yu'an looked at the land outside the window and said, "This is the life I want. The crew mbers David and Mike are very professional, and we work well together."
They chatted casually about recent events for a while longer before Mark shifted the topic to sothing more serious.
His tone beca solemn: "Lin, actually, beside saying hello, there's sothing more important I wanted to discuss today."
"On behalf of the History Channel, I want to invite you to participate in a brand new challenge!"
Mark paused for a mont, as if to build suspense, then said word by word: "We are about to launch a special spin-off of 'Alone in the Wilderness'!"
"'Wilderness Solo Living: Frozen Throne'"
Mark emphasized, "It's not a regular series but a champion's battle! We won't hold open casting calls, only invitations."
"The most unique rule of this show is that it starts in winter! It's scheduled to officially kick off in early November!"
"Anyone who can last 50 days on the Labrador Coastline will share a prize of 500,000 US Dollars!"
Half a million US Dollars is a huge temptation for anyone.
But at this mont, Lin Yu'an's mind was calm. This money didn't appeal to him as much as the satisfaction of building a ho with his own hands on the land of Wiseman.
Mark continued, "We've drawn up an invitation list of six contestants, all of whom are the most beloved figures from past 'Alone in the Wilderness' seasons!"
He seed to know what Lin Yu'an was thinking, his tone carrying a hint of helplessness.
"Of course, our initial goal was to invite all champion contestants like you."
"But honestly, we hit walls. Roland from season seven said he's already proven everything and doesn't want to starve again."
"Jordan from season six said he wants to spend more ti with his family. We respect their choices; perhaps they don't want to endure that hellish ordeal again."
"Or maybe the champion contestants want to maintain the myths they created and fear being broken in a new challenge."
"Lin, you're the last champion contestant we've contacted! We sincerely hope you can be the foundation of this 'Frozen Throne.'
After listening to Mark's story, Lin Yu'an fell into thought, quickly evaluating in his mind.
To go or not to go?
His first reaction was to refuse; he no longer needed to strive for money or fa.
But the extre cold challenge of Frozen Throne, like a spark, ignited the never-extinguished fla deep in his heart.
He longed to compete alongside those experts, to test his limits once again in a harsher environnt!
But the real problem was right in front of him, as he carefully evaluated ti.
Mark said the start would be in early November, with the competition cycle lasting at least fifty days, aning he would miss the entirety of November and December.
During this ti, Alaska would already be covered in heavy snow, during the most critical filming period of 'Life Below Zero.'
As one of the main characters, he couldn't leave at this ti.
Lin Yu'an finally spoke, his voice calm and clear, "Mark, your proposal is very appealing, I love the feeling of battling nature and competing with experts."
"But my schedule is a big problem. November to December is my most important filming period for 'Life Below Zero,' I can't be in two places at once."
Mark seed to have anticipated his question, which was why they invited him last, as there were many things to coordinate.
He imdiately offered a solution: "Lin, it's fantastic that you're even considering this! There's absolutely no need to worry about the timing, once you agree, leave the rest to !"
His tone was full of confidence: "I'll personally talk to Richard, he's been a close friend for years, and I was the one who recomnded you to him initially."
