The ti has reached the seventy-third day.

The harsh winter has thoroughly turned the Chilco Lakefront into a world cloaked in silver and white.

Today is a rare, clear day and also the day the crew cos to gather material.

Lin Yu’an set up the cara, not busying himself with usual chores, but instead, he took the rare chance to move a flat wooden stump and sat at the entrance of the stone shelter.

In his hand, he held a wooden bowl filled with hot pine needle tea, with his gaze distant, fixed on the snow-covered lake surface in the distance, lost in thought.

At that mont, an orange-red figure, like a flicker of fla on the snow, erged from the treeline not far away.

It was the spiritually intelligent, trap-watching young red fox that dined on self-serve als.

However, today, the little fox seed noticeably off.

It stood about ten ters away from Lin Yu’an in the snow and stopped.

The red fox’s body was tense, its ears pricked up in alertness, and its large bushy tail hung restlessly behind.

It didn’t look at Lin Yu’an, instead, it turned its head anxiously towards the dense forest it had co from.

In its throat ca an extrely low-pitched "woo woo" sound, filled with obvious tension and... fear.

"Hmm? Little one, what’s wrong?"

The smile on Lin Yu’an’s face instantly vanished as he imdiately sensed the fox’s unusual behavior.

His Sixth Sense, at that very mont, also issued a strong alert—a premonition of danger!

Lin Yu’an’s gaze followed the fox’s alertness, directed towards that eerily silent spruce forest.

His heart began to pound, accelerating in his chest.

For such a cunning fox to display such intense fear, the approaching presence must be formidable.

He didn’t hesitate at all, swiftly turned, and quickly retreated into the stone shelter.

"Guys... sothing’s coming... a big one."

He didn’t hide but imdiately moved to prepare for the upcoming battle.

His actions were quick but orderly, showcasing an imnse adaptability.

He quickly took out the can of Bear Spray issued by the program crew, checked the safety pin, and hung it on his waist!

Then, he walked briskly to the corner, picking up the 50 pound Arican Hunting Bow that had accompanied him for many days.

He quickly and skillfully strung the bow, a deep thrum filling the air as the bowstring vibrated with tension.

He slung the quiver over his shoulder, checking all the Hunting Arrowheads.

After finishing all this, he took a deep breath, preparing himself for the worst-case scenario.

He knew that Bear Spray and the bow and arrow might not be decisive against a hungry bear.

His real ace up the sleeve was his unknown Spatial Golden Finger, ready to annihilate any animal with spatial manipulation!

He glanced at the cara still working on his chest, and a thought flashed in his mind.

If it really ca to using the spatial ability, he would have to physically destroy this action cara afterward.

The young red fox outside the house suddenly emitted a short and sharp squeal.

Then it turned abruptly, running frantically in the opposite direction of the dense forest without looking back, and quickly disappeared behind a snow-covered hill.

Lin Yu’an’s pupils constricted sharply, knowing that the real threat had shown itself!

He didn’t hesitate at all, showing no sign of retreat whatsoever.

In its place was a mixture of tension, alertness, and unprecedented Battle Intent!

"Guys, it looks like we have a big guest coming."

His voice was low and steady, without the slightest tremor, even carrying a barely detectable hint of excitent.

Lin Yu’an resolutely walked onto the wide expanse of snow in front of the shelter.

He needed a broad field of view and enough space to react.

"Shush... shush shush..."

The sound of slow and heavy footsteps crunching through the snow ca from the depths of the silent spruce forest.

Finally, under Lin Yu’an’s focused gaze, an entirely black, hulking figure slowly erged from the shadows of the spruce forest.

It was an extrely stout adult Arican Black Bear!

Under the cold sunlight, its fur reflected a glossy sheen, forming a stark contrast with the surrounding snowdrift.

Though it wasn’t as colossal as a Grizzly Bear, its solid limbs and powerfully built body still radiated a formidable sense of oppression.

The black bear was clearly drawn by the lingering scent of at from the smokehouse near Lin Yu’an’s shelter, as well as the little fox’s activity.

It stopped about fifty ters away from Lin Yu’an, its large nose sniffing the air intensely, seemingly analyzing and confirming the source of the scent.

Then its tiny bean-like eyes fixed firmly on Lin Yu’an—the bipedal creature daring to stand before it.

Man and bear, four eyes locked.

Ti seed to freeze at that mont.

The air solidified, everything went silent, with only the faint whimper as the wind blew over the distant treetops.

Lin Yu’an felt his adrenaline surge, yet his thoughts remained extraordinarily calm.

His left hand clutched the hunting bow, while his right fingers rest on the Bear Spray’s nozzle.

His gaze showed not the slightest flinch or fear as he stared directly into the cold, scrutinous eyes of the black bear.

He did not retreat, shout, or make any provocative or aggressive movents.

Simply standing there in silence as if a statue rooted in place, proclaiming his presence and resilience to the black bear.

The black bear seed sowhat surprised at the small creature’s composure before it.

It uneasily dug at the snow with its front paw, a low, thunderlike growl rumbling from its throat, trying to overpower its opponent through imposing presence.

"Roar—!"

The powerful sound waves echoed through the silent forest, full of warning and threat.

Lin Yu’an remained unmoved, his mind racing to assess the bear’s intentions and their proximity.

He knew the bear was likely drawn by the scent of food, now in a stage of testing.

If he showed fear or attempted to flee now, he might trigger the bear’s prey instinct, losing the chance to strike first.

He began to speak to the bear in a calm but powerful voice, not to communicate but to let the bear know he was a vocal presence, distinct from regular prey.

"Hey, big guy... this is my territory!"

The black bear tilted its huge head as if trying to comprehend the strange noise.

It took a few more steps forward, stopping at about forty ters, its front paws pressing into the snow alternately, appearing sowhat hesitant.

Lin Yu’an’s right hand had a firm grip on the Bear Spray can, his thumb resting steadily on the safety pin.

The standoff reached its peak at this mont!

Whether to fight or retreat, the decision lay in the bear’s hands.

Lin Yu’an’s gaze did not waver in the slightest; he had prepared for everything.

If the black bear dared to take another step forward, he would not hesitate to draw and shoot the arrow!

His chest-mounted action cara and the fixed cara at the door silently recorded it all.
