Vincent woke up with the fresh mint feeling in his stomach. He slept well last night.
No corpse hunting his mind. Good.
He stretched his body and washed up his face with a quick splash and then, he went downstairs to the ho gym.
Vincent put on the headphones and started training his body. Due to his power, he didn’t feel tired at all but he noticed that he needed to train his body.
After one hour of quick work up, he felt his blood pumped up.
On the way, he t Katherine. Her black hair was ssy and she was yawning, mouth wide open.
As soon as she noticed him, she imdiately fixed her posture and assud the professional mask.
"No need to act so cold, Miss Katherine." Vincent joked.
She ignored him and went to the kitchen.
"Coffee?" He asked.
She nodded slowly.
"Then, I want so too."
"Sure, I will make it spicy." Katherine smiled evilly.
Vincent flinched and went back to his room, taking a shower. He then put on his suit and ard himself with a plasma revolver.
After checking everything, he grabbed the car key.
The mont he left his room, the fresh scent of baked coffee made its way into his nose. It dragged him to the kitchen.
He saw a hot cup of coffee put out on the table. Katherine was still in the kitchen, cooking up so breakfast. Judging by the ingredients she was using, Vincent guessed that it was for one.
"I will take this." He announced.
"Suit yourself."
"Thanks, Sweet Miss." Vincent raised the cup and slipped in. It was bitter. But since she didn’t know his taste, he would let it slide under the table.
Vincent left the building.
Katherine looked at his back, flipping up the toasted bread. ’You could just ask for so sweetener.’

Vincent arrived at the Homicide Division.
The air between this place and outside was visible to the naked eyes. People running around, yelling. So calling and so writing the paperwork.
Vincent was glad that he won’t be here permanently.
"Hey, kiddo." Detective Jason looked up from his desk and signaled him to co.
Vincent nodded and walked toward the man.
"The captain assigned you to work with ." Jason said. "Do you want that?"
"Sure."
"Tsk. Tsk. Sit over there. That will be your work place from now on." Jason pointed at the vacant desk beside him.
Vincent walked over and grabbed the chair. He looked down at the floor and nodded to himself.
"Looks like your partner has retired, Sir." Vincent said respectfully.
Jason looked away from the computer. "How do you know?"
"This floor beneath this seat has a scratch mark. A long one. And it is a fresh scratch looking at the splitter around it."
"Alright. Alright. I know your observation is good." Jason sighed, cutting him off.
Vincent smiled proudly.
Jason snapped his finger as if he was calling the dog to attention. "Don’t act so smug about it, kiddo. Co on, we got a job to do."
"Already?" Vincent stood up and followed the middle aged man.
They entered the elevator.
"Let give you so advice, rookie." Jason said suddenly.
Vincent shifted his body and gave him a nod.
"The place you are stepping in is a hell. A shit hole. Don’t flaunt your intelligence. Make yourself smaller. But shield your mind. You don’t know when this shit hole will attack you."
"I will rember that."
"Anyway, I will have to tell you the place we are going. Well, not a place but a person."
"Are we arresting soone, sir?" Vincent asked.
Jason looked down at his body and cursed. "See, you just act smart?"
Vincent smiled. He noticed that Jason was doing so kind of warming up and assud that the person demanded physical work.
"I will fix that, sir."
Jason sighed. "No, we aren’t arresting soone. Show your detective card."
Vincent took out the card from the wallet and showed it to the detective. Jason scanned the card and added him to the contact list. He then sent him a file.
"See for yourself."
Vincent opened up his phone and checked the file from Jason.
The victim was a young girl attending high school.
Vincent first looked through the victim file. She wasn’t the best student in school. Lists of the cri she committed on the file was too much for a high schooler.
"A troubled kid." Vincent muttered.
"An orphan." Jason added from beside. "Continue reading the file."
Vincent nodded. She was killed at her house, the orphanage. Apparently, a group of thugs ca bursting out the door to the orphanage and killed her.
He looked through the photos. Her head was cleaned off from her body and placed on the bed.
Vincent grabbed his mouth and felt like throwing up. He quickly turned away from the photos and checked the report of the dead.
From the quick investigation, she worked for the drug lord, helping him sell drugs to the students.
After reading everything, Vincent turned off the phone. They arrived at the parking lot and went to Jason’s car.
It was a flying car.
Jason sat in the driver seat and turned on the artificial intelligence. The car hovered up in the air and went off to the sky.
Vincent ignored it. "Are we going to find the information about the drug lord?"
"Kinda. I will explain in full detail. So listen carefully." Jason said.
"We knew about the drug Lords running around in the city. They all have a network with the governnt and each one is a trouble. So there weren’t a lot of things we could do about it."
"That is ssed up."
"I know. But the governnt allowed it since they had another way to attack those lords." Jason paused, typing the location he wanted to go on the car’s screen.
"They use heroes right?" Vincent said.
"Bingo. But this case is special. The killing they displayed was so brutal that the governnt allowed the permission to step in. Heroes will plan their own and we will also plan our own. If both plans connect, we will create a joint operation. Are you following?"
Vincent nodded.
The high school student was killed. The killing was so brutal that the public demanded the governnt to do sothing about it.
Normally, when these types of drug lord related cri occurred, the governnt sent the work to the heroes. The reason was simple. The drug lord has the network to the inner workings of the governnt via bride and stuff.
So the more the governnt looked into the said drug lord, the more the drug lord moved around. By assigning it to the heroes, they didn’t know when the threat would co.
"We are the only ones who are taking this job. We need to find out which drug lord killed the student and worked with the heroes to hunt down." Jason said with a low sigh.
"Which hero?"
"Any hero that is available to the governnt. Not all of them work for the governnt. So played their own gas of hide and seek."
"Ah." Vincent nodded. "So we are going to find the information about the killing right?"
Jason shook his head. "No. The trace is probably gone. Even if we spent ti to find the real killer, those thugs are probably six feet underneath, right now. That is how those bastards avoided us."
"So how are we going to find the correct person?"
"Simple. Use the connection. I am going to et with soone who is active in the drug business. We will know the interesting information about the drug Lords in the city. And by following the news, we are going to find sothing."
Vincent laid back on the seat and rubbed his temples.
"It will take a while."
"Depends on the news. A good start for your career."
"I was hoping for an easy one." Vincent chuckled.
"Trust , rookie. It is easy."
