SONIA’S POV

His mouth on my nipples had brought to another orgasm. The second I ever had in my entire life. Waves of pleasure crashed through , leaving my body trembling and my breath coming in short, shaky gasps.

My skin felt flushed and overly sensitive, every nerve alive under his touch. The room slled faintly of sweat and the lingering scent of his body—sandalwood mixed with sothing darker, more primal.

My eyes opened, catching the smug expression on his face. His lips glistened slightly in the low light, and his eyes held a satisfied gleam that made my stomach tighten. He rolled out of bed and stood with his back turned against .

The moonlight from the window traced the strong lines of his shoulders and the curve of his spine. My eyes scanned his back fra. His body was simply a god’s delight. It was perfection, down to the curve of his butt. Every muscle was defined, hard-earned from years of training and leading his pack. I couldn’t look away.

I couldn’t believe this was happening. Alpha Ramon was in my room, and it wasn’t to punish the way I thought he would. He just wanted control. He wanted to control . I knew this, but couldn’t even fight it. The truth was simple: I’m weak. I was too weak to fight him off. My body, even my wolf, was too weak.

The pleasure was greater than my need to retain autonomy. I had to take it easy on myself, else I began to wallow in self-pity. This was my first ti ever experiencing such earth-shattering pleasure. It was so good, it blinded from every other wrong there was. All I wanted was for him to return to the bed and massage my nipple with his tongue again.

Perhaps this was what he did to Lorena, that had her so obsessed with him. He was on course to do the sa to . To render nothing but a slave to his every want and command. The thought sent a shiver down my spine, but it wasn’t entirely from fear.

"You keep staring," he said, but didn’t turn around.

Yeah, that was because I was curious. Why was he just standing there doing nothing? I wanted to know. My fingers twisted in the sheets, gripping the fabric tightly as my heart raced.

I felt him turning around, and quickly lowered my gaze. The bed dipped as he moved closer. "What do you have to drink?" He asked.

"Just water," I replied. My voice ca out softer than I intended.

The door closed shortly after. When it opened again, I heard his footsteps. "Take this," I heard him say.

From underneath the pillow where I had buried my face, I lifted my body. He had brought water. Was it poisoned? Okay, maybe I wasn’t totally under his spell just yet.

I still had common sense to question why he would be that nice to . However, in order not to upset him, I accepted the glass and emptied it into my throat. The cool liquid soothed my dry mouth and helped calm the heat still burning inside . Would you look at that? As it turned out, I was actually thirsty.

"Do you want more?" He asked.

I blinked in disbelief and almost looked back. He could be talking to soone behind . There was no way he was being so kind to .

"I’m talking to you," he said.

"No, I an yes! I’m fine," I said, and cleared my throat. My cheeks felt warm again.

"Good."

He collected the glass in my hand, got on his feet, and exited the room again. I listened to his footsteps fade and return, the quiet sounds filling the small space between us.

When he returned, he ca directly to the bed and laid on his back. The mattress shifted under his weight, pulling slightly toward him. "If you were in my shoes, what would you have done to my father?" He asked, taking by surprise.

"Huh?"

"You heard . If my father had destroyed your pack, but you survived, how would you take revenge?"

I tried to picture his question in my head. I loved my family a lot. Even though growing up, I questioned their love for . We grew up in an unconventional way. I was locked up most of my life. I barely saw my brothers because they were all older and had a lot of responsibilities.

I saw my father on rare occasions and family dinners. But every ti I did, he always doted on . When I learnt it was because of the uncanny resemblance to my mother, I didn’t know how to feel about it. Freya had in fact asked to suck it up. I was the alpha’s daughter. I had seven strong, dashing brothers. To her, my life was perfect. It made sense why she sold out.

"I’ve thought about your question, but can I also ask one of my own?"

"Why? I told you you’re under my control now. Only what I say goes. What part of that don’t you still understand?"

I had annoyed him again. It wasn’t like I ant to, but I couldn’t help it. How was I the mate of an alpha who always misunderstood ? What was the end goal of this bond? Usually, I always saw the moon goddess’ intentions in everything she did. I just couldn’t see the intention with this one.

"You’re right. I’m sorry."

"Don’t apologise, just answer the question."

"I don’t know what I’ll do. It’s easier to say you’ll do this or that, but until you wear the shoe, you don’t know the direction you’re bound to follow."

"Hmmm. So you agree with , kidnapping you wasn’t impractical? Isn’t it much better to take the one thing the person you hate loves the most?"

I didn’t know where he got that fact from. Whilst it was true my dad adored , it was mostly because of my resemblance to my mother. What my father truly loved the most was my mother. I bet he would have gotten a more desperate reaction from him if he had invaded my mother’s grave site. That was the spot he spent most of his ti at. It was sacred to him. So sacred, he even nad it "The altar."

"I would be biased in answering that question. I’m the one who was kidnapped. It hasn’t been exactly the smoothest journey."

"That’s down to your father. He refuses to back down. If he had, and not be smug about my initial request for a sit down, you would not be in my pack right now."

"But I’m your mate. I think either way, it would have happened."

"Are you saying it’s fate?"

I felt his hand on my thighs, just as I was about to respond. My body heated imdiately, and my wolf jumped in alert. The touch was warm and deliberate, sending sparks up my leg.

"So responsive," he whispered, and began to draw invisible lines on my thighs. His fingers moved slowly, tracing patterns that made my breath catch.

"Do you believe in fate?" I asked him. I bit my lips right after. I wasn’t supposed to ask questions. My job was to respond.

"I believe in a lot of things," he lifted his body, and his lips brushed lightly on mine. "Do you know why I sought you out tonight?"

"To punish ?" I tried a joke.

To my surprise, the corner of his lips curved into a smile. It was small but real, softening the hard lines of his face for just a mont.

"To ask a favour from you."

My heart doubled, and my eyes widened. He couldn’t see , because he had begun to trace his tongue from my stomach down. The wet heat left a trail that made my skin tingle.

"A favour from ?" I muttered, but he heard .

"Yeah. I said I believe in a lot of things, but at the sa ti, I don’t believe in a lot of other things." He stopped just between my thighs, and I sucked in my breath in anticipation for whatever he was going to do. My legs trembled slightly as his breath ghosted over my most sensitive place.

"I didn’t believe you were a healer," he continued. "But I believe that a healthy pack is a victorious pack. And because of that belief, I have to swallow my pride and ask you a question."

My heart began to pound heavily against my chest. It could be anything. It could be—I froze when his tongue touched right in the middle. The sudden wet heat made my hips jerk, a sharp gasp escaping my lips.

"Would you like to work with my pack healer until I find his replacent?" he asked, and before the question could register in my head, he dived into my pussy.

My fingers shifted painfully into claws, and found their way behind him. Pleasure exploded through , white-hot and overwhelming.

"Yes!" I moaned, digging deep into his flesh and drawing blood. My body arched off the bed as waves of sensation crashed over again and again.
