Kakashi felt as if his entire world had turned upside down.
Everything sounded absurd.
And yet, he knew this was far too important to ignore.
"If you can't decide right now, then co with first."
"Tonight, Konoha's fate will change forever."
Uzumaki Shuji spoke calmly.
The mont he finished, a golden ripple appeared behind him.
A Chain of Heaven shot out and extended into the room.
It wrapped around Naruto—blanket and all—and gently carried the sleeping boy outside.
Naruto was his greatest weakness.
At a ti like this, Uzumaki Shuji trusted no one completely.
So Naruto had to remain by his side.
Kakashi was soone he could trust to a certain extent.
But with his current influence, Kakashi was not powerful enough to guarantee Naruto's safety.
"You…!"
Kakashi stared at the golden ripple and the gleaming chain.
Instantly, he rembered the mysterious enemy Konoha had been hunting for days.
But this was just a child.
When that man attacked the Hokage Tower, Uzumaki Shuji had supposedly been ho the entire ti.
"Stop overthinking it."
"I'm the one who attacked the Hokage Tower."
"And I'm the one who stole the Scroll of Seals."
"As for what kind of man Hiruzen Sarutobi is…"

"Or was he killed because he threatened Hiruzen's position?"
Uzumaki Shuji glanced at Naruto, who showed no sign of waking.
He let out a small sigh of relief.
If Naruto woke up, he would need to use Uzumaki Shuji's Sharingan to put him back to sleep.

Though once the explosions started, the result would be the sa.
The cruel truth was not sothing Naruto needed to know yet.
That burden would remain on Uzumaki Shuji's shoulders.
"What exactly is going on?"

"How do you know all of this?"
"Or… did you hide the real Uzumaki Shuji?"
"Are you soone from the Uzumaki clan?"
The hardest part for Kakashi to accept was that the boy before him was truly a child.
Kakashi himself had only reached jonin level at twelve years old.
If what Uzumaki Shuji said was true, then this boy's strength had already surpassed that.
He was at the level of a Kage.
"As genuine as they co."
"I am Uzumaki Shuji."
"Perhaps my parents left behind mories and inheritance within ."
"That might explain why I beca strong so quickly."
"I'm heading to the Uchiha district now."

Uzumaki Shuji had no intention of wasting any more ti.
After offering Kakashi a plausible explanation, he issued his final warning.
The Uchiha still had value.
He needed to ensure they did not collapse too quickly.
They were still useful for drawing enemy fire.
As soon as he finished speaking, golden ripples appeared beneath his feet.
Uzumaki Shuji stepped onto the Chains of Heaven and soared into the night sky.
Behind him, another chain carried Naruto through the air like a sleeping prince.
"You…"
Kakashi stood frozen.
And for the first ti, he realized that Uzumaki Shuji's explanation actually made terrifying sense.
Could Minato and Kushina really have left everything behind for their son?
"Captain… that was…?"
The ANBU responsible for protecting the brothers stared in shock at Uzumaki Shuji flying through the sky atop shifting chains of gold.
Not one of them had ever suspected he possessed such power.
And they recognized the technique imdiately.
They had been warned countless tis.
If they encountered that man, their first priority was to escape with the jinchūriki.
"All of you remain here."
"That's an order."
"I'll pursue him myself."
"I will ensure the jinchūriki's safety."
"No one follows ."
After a mont's hesitation, Kakashi made his decision.
His primary mission was Naruto's safety.
Uzumaki Shuji's safety ca second.
And despite Hiruzen's repeated orders that no Uchiha were to approach Naruto, Kakashi chose to act on his own judgnt.
The ANBU were uneasy.
But their trust in Kakashi kept them rooted in place.

"Quickly! Evacuate the elderly and the children!"
"Take them to the shrine!"
Fugaku Uchiha stood at the center of the Uchiha compound, directing a defensive retreat.
He had not expected Hiruzen to act so boldly—or so quickly.
He had assud the two sides would engage in a prolonged period of tension before finally snapping.
Instead, Hiruzen struck with ruthless decisiveness.
Fortunately, Fugaku had already prepared.
After noticing suspicious movents during the day and the arrival of many unfamiliar faces, he had stationed extra patrols outside the compound that night.
The warning had gone out in ti.
Otherwise, the enemy would have broken into the district before they could react.
And the losses would have been catastrophic.
"Yes!"
One by one, Uchiha ninja with blood-red Sharingan eyes launched themselves into battle.
Their fury was barely restrained.
Outside, Konoha's forces steadily pushed inward.
Hiruzen's goal was stability.
The battle had to remain contained within the Uchiha district.
Under no circumstances could it spread to the rest of Konoha.
This ti, the attacking force included not only Konoha's standard combat units, but ninja from many of the major clans.
The rewards for destroying the Uchiha were simply too tempting.
Their wealth.
Their jutsu.
Their land.
The spoils were enormous.
Despite facing forces several tis their size, the Uchiha did not imdiately fall into a disadvantage.
With Sharingan active, an Uchiha could easily defeat two opponents of the sa level.
Three was more difficult, but still possible.
That was especially true at the chunin level.
Among jonin, the gap was smaller, but the Uchiha's bloodline limit still gave them trendous confidence.
"Shuriken volley—fire!"
On Konoha's side, commanders organized large-scale projectile attacks.
Countless kunai and shuriken arced through the sky like a storm of arrows.
"Mangekyō Sharingan: Magnetic Control!"
Seeing the overwhelming barrage heading toward the retreating civilians of his clan, Fugaku activated his Mangekyō Sharingan without hesitation.
The rain of weapons froze in midair.
Every kunai and shuriken ca to an abrupt halt.
Then Fugaku activated the ability of his other eye, strengthening the suspended weapons.
Under his control, they rged together into a gigantic blade.
Like a Noble Phantasm forged for slaughter, the colossal weapon shot forward and tore through the attacking ninja.
A vast swath of Konoha's forces was annihilated in an instant.
The casualties were devastating.
